Apparently, that particular purse-snatcher didn't get very far. Check out the second of these photos:

Hmm...if one of these scum attacked my daughter, well, a 200-grain jacketed hollow point in .45 ACP has been known for around 100 years as a man stopper.

Great protest. Demontrating in the streets is a good French tradition, up there with stinky cheese and old wine.

I'm from Malaysia (country south of Thailand ).
Rape and incest is common and increasing in Malay-Muslim comunity after rapid islamization since the 1980's .
Malays are now rejecting their own culture because of islam. They view their traditional culture as "Shrik" or unislamic due to hindu-buddhist influence.
The book written by V.S. Naipaul , "Amoung the Believers" , and "Beyond Belief" , gave a very fine details about it.

Here's the story of the current affair of Malaysia and Islam.
