CNN, Meet Marine 2nd Lt. Joshua Booth, a Sniper Victim
CNN, this is American hero Joshua L. Booth. He died for his country. He died in Iraq fighting for freedom like hundreds of thousands of American marines and soldiers before him. He leaves a wife and 18 month old daughter.
CNN- Are you planning on showing his death, too?
Do we "need" to see Joshua die?
Booth's parents said they wanted Booth to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, but he didn't believe he was worthy of it and wished to be buried in a family plot in Bedford, Va.

In this undated photo released by his family, U.S. Marine 2nd Lt. Joshua L. Booth, 23, of Sturbridge, Mass., is shown. Booth was killed Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, by a single sniper shot in Haditha, Iraq. Born in Virginia Beach, Va., Booth leaves his wife, Erica, and an 18 month old daughter. (AP Photo/Booth Family via Worcester Telegram & Gazette)
2nd lt. Joshua L. Booth always wanted to be in the military from a young age:
Booth had served in Iraq for just more than a month, but his superiors told his parents, John and Debra Booth, that he'd made a major impact in that short time. Booth worked in an advanced intelligence unit in which every member spoke Arabic.CNN- are you going to show Joshua's death, too?
John Booth said his son wanted to be in the military from a young age, even dressing in school as Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee after an elementary school teacher suggested students present the other side of the Civil War.
Booth graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury in 2001 and The Citadel Military College in Charleston, S.C., in 2005.
Besides his parents, Booth leaves his wife, Erica, 21, who is expecting a second child, and their 1½-year-old daughter, Grace M. Booth, of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; and a sister, Melissa L. DeVera of Fredericksburg, Va., according to the Worcester, Mass., Telegram & Gazette Web site.
Rest in peace, 2nd Lt. Joshua L. Booth. Rest in peace.

Yet another American is killed by this war, and yet somehow you find a way to blame CNN. I'm sorry, but maybe I missed something; did CNN send our soldiers to Iraq?
xanthippas,
As typical with those of your ilk you are clueless. But, then again, watching jihadi snuff videos probably gets you sexually aroused. I bet those behading videos get you all hot and bothered. Your hands are covered in blood. But, knowing you, that probably also arouses you.
BTW-You can spare us all from having to read your false "concern for our servicemen and women". And don't worry, we won't "question your patriotism" either. We know whose side you are on. It is a decision you made freely and one day will die for. Too bad for you Allah won't have 72 virgins waiting for you.
Anyway...
CNN- are you going to show Joshua's death, too?
You know they would. Knowing them they would run a 5 part series on it along with a "townhall" kind of thing complete with a hand picked audience full of LLL ghouls and idiots like xanthippas. Anything they can do that they think would be helpful to their Islamofascist allies.
So does the Left blame Roosevelt for the 406,000 who died in WWII?
Do you blame Lincoln for 500,000 deaths in the Civil War?
Do you have any sense of history?
Nahanni - well said!
Gateway pundit - thanks for the post, great comment too.
As always I say:
"THANK YOU TROOPS"
"THANK YOU MILITARY FAMILIES"
If you cared so much about them, GP, you'd advocate getting them the hell out of Iraq.
That, of course, is the only way these kids will stop being sniper-fodder.
Otherwise, all your talk about "rest in peace" seems to be disingenuous. Those of us who truly give a damn about their lives want them sent back to The States where they might literally be able to get some rest.
If you can't/won't see the obvious failure/clusterfuck that the Iraq excursion has become, you're nothing more than a war-mongering blogger reveling in the death of a lot of brave Americans -- just to make a political point.
Pathetic.
I served 18 years in the US Army as a cavalry non-commission officer.
Xanthippas should keep his mouth shut. The troops that i served with despise liberals of any kind. Xanthippas is a freeloading, whimp who never did anything for his country. The troops believe in the mission, except REMF's who are reservists and whine about missing mommy. Our freedom was built by many men better than Xanthippas will ever be.
Sadly, many of the moonbats and deranged Olbermann lovers believe that their support of CNN's snuff films is "patriotic", yet they don't think footage from 9/11/01 should be shown.
I knew Josh Booth as he was at the Citadel at the same time I was. He did what needed to be done and more power to him.
"Prayer of The Citadel
Give me a boy, Oh God,
who is willing to learn the true value of honor,
the necessity of perseverance and loyalty,
and the meaningfulness of devotion to God and country.
And I shall take this boy as does a blacksmith take a crude piece of metal,
and place him over a forge whose liberating flame of education
is fired by the bellows of strict military discipline.
Into this ingot of a man I shall temper self-respect and self-discipline,
fear of God and respect for mankind, appreciation of freedom and
awareness of what sacrifices must be made to preserve freedom,
and above all an insatiable desire for truth and honesty.
And when all these things I have done, I shall brand my finished work with
a ring of gold to let all of humanity know that I have given back to the world
a ...Citadel Man."
I get the feeling the moonbats are more upset at the terrorists being forced to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers than seeing our troops being killed. Why is it they say they "support the troops", yet openly cheer on CNN?
"If you cared so much about them, GP, you'd advocate getting them the hell out of Iraq.
"That, of course, is the only way these kids will stop being sniper-fodder. "
What you are forgetting is that Americans were going to die whether we are fighting terrorists in Iraq or here in America. That is the terrorists' stated goal: to kill Americans. They picked this fight we did not.
Yes, by choosing to fight in Iraq, those brave young men are risking their lives. However, in the process they kill and capture many times more terrorists than are killed in the line of duty.
If we allowed the terrorists to bring the fight here again, the roles would be reversed. Brave young men and women would still be at risk—not just the military, but also policemen, firemen, paramedics, etc.—but the terrorists would also be able to target innocent Americans too with far fewer losses among their own ranks. Remember, only 19 terrorists managed to kill somewhere around 3,000 Americans in a single attack. Such a ratio is unacceptable.
Like you, I would also love it if the war was over. Unlike you, I realize that the war will not end if we stop fighting. It can only end when both sides stop fighting. It is clear that the terrorists have no intention of ending the war, therefore we must force them to stop. We have no other options, even at the cost of fine young men like Lt. Booth.
Nahanni-
You're an idiot, and what you wrote makes no sense.
Pundit-
Uh, it would be ridiculous to "blame" Roosevelt for WWII, as he was fighting a horrible Nazi menance, and didn't make a case to invade another nation that barely threatened us. Apparently, I have a considerably greater "sense" of history than you do.
Brown Dog-
I suspect you know what you're talking about somewhat less than I do. What do you think of Pat Tillman's brother, Kevin, who surely does not despise liberals?
"If you cared so much about them, GP, you'd advocate getting them the hell out of Iraq." - ts
That's the left's solution to everything. If anyone dies, it's not worth doing. What a crock. Hundreds of thousands of our citizens have died, soldier and civilian alike, in order that ingrates like you have the freedom to make such ignorant statements.
Where is your respect? You obviously have none for the soldiers, or you'd understand that they, and the families behind them, support the cause they are fighting for. You'd understand the sacrifice your forebears made, and understand that freedom is bought not with stern words or warm fuzzy concepts, but with blood.
If it's the casualties that bother you, why aren't you complaining about the death rate for young African American men in Chicago, which is HIGHER than the death rate for active duty soldiers in Iraq? "Clusterfuck"? Dieppe was a clusterfuck. Look it up if you need to see what the word really means. Iraq isn't even close by historical comparison. As I've already noted, the casualty rate scarcely exceeds that of young minority men in large American cities. Fact of the matter is, a young black man aged 18-29 from Chicago would be safer on active duty in Iraq than he would be in his home town. You tell us that we're wearing blinders, that we're war-mongering. That's not true. We see things with historical perspective. Folks like you, on the other hand, see things as the Washington Post, the AP, and the New York Times would have you see them. They've been misrepresenting facts, and telling the useful idiots of this nation how to feel about this conflict since before it even began, and you've marched right down the path they've laid before you.
Tell me ts, since you're so much smarter than us dumb hawkish simpletons. What has France's opposition to the war bought them? Daily riots, literally thousands of police casualties, 112 cars burned daily, all by followers of the 'religion of peace'. All in a nation that fought tooth and nail to prevent action against states which accommodate Islamic extremists. Yeah, taking the peaceful route worked out JUST GREAT for them.
"Uh, it would be ridiculous to "blame" Roosevelt for WWII, as he was fighting a horrible Nazi menance, and didn't make a case to invade another nation that barely threatened us. "
He's an idiot eh? Pot kettle black. Remind me exactly HOW Germany directly threatened the USA? They had no means to bomb us, no means to transport troops to our shores. You're completely wrong. They were no direct threat to the USA whatsoever. However, JUST LIKE IRAQ, they threatened and attacked our allies. Dreadful Nazi menace? Sure, it's fine to fight them, but not a brutal dictator who has killed 10's and perhaps hundreds of thousands of his own citizens??? How can you possibly explain the contradiction in your own statement?
Your grasp holds history like a sieve holds water.
yashmak: you beat me to it...we could have ignored the war in europe completely and never been attacked by Germany...it's amazing how incoherent and ill informed these folks on the left are...but don''t have any idea how ridiculous they sound.
ZKCID Great stuff. I am a US Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran and the father of not one, but 2 Citadel grads. What Xanthippas has said speaks volumes of his liberal take on the world today. Something about looking at the world thru rose colored glasses. This guy would not make a pimple on a Cid grads ass!! What we need in this world is more Cid grads and guys like Ollie North. To all you libs out there: you get what you ask for!! "You want the truth?" "You can't handle the truth!" There is a saying that is older than I am:“For those who have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know" Just remember that the next time you mouth off about YOUR freedoms.
Xanthippas sounds like so many self-loathing liberals who spend way too much in the world of academia trying to create a sense of self-importance.
Trying separate the horrible Nazi menace that FDR fought from the islamic menace we face today is typical liberal irrationality. He's trying to have it both ways.
Grow a brain !
xanthippas,
Maybe you don't understand that we are now fighting a new Nazi menace. The difference is, the old Nazi menace was white, while this new Nazi menace is brown, anti-semetic, anti-west, terroristic, and are death-cultists. Is there any more reason for you not to fight these sub-human animals or does your moral compass spin on it's axis because it's incapable of actually being able to make a judgement when the difficulties of a war get in the way of your sensitivities to violencce.
War is a dirty and horrible thing, but when it needs to be fought against people who see our way of life as an affront to their way of death, then what do you do? Retreat back to fortress America and hope that they will just become fodder on the outer borders as they try to crash through the gates? Guess what, they are already inside the fortress and they are waiting for their signal to strike and all you can do is proclaim how historically knowledgable you are and score some brownie points with your like minded buddies.
This isn't the time to get pats on the back from your local leftist club because you are on GP's site fighting the good fight against pro-war right wingers. You want a cookie, how about a gold star, maybe a plaque that will commemorate the sub-par job you've done in articulating your position on who the enemy is, and why you will most likely be the first to get the new arab hair style that is really fashionable right now.
I could care less if you are a lefty or a liberal or a reaganite, but understand that when you defy the need for self-preservation against the attack on our republic, our way of life, our families from these sub-human hordes, then you will reap what you've sown here and now.
And I pray to God, that if ever the day comes when you are on your knees in a conversion line and a bearded sub-human asks you to convert or die, you will know right then and there that you made the wrong choices and supported the wrong people and causes and you will be taking that to whatever miserable place you call an afterlife.
That's sad, but anyone who uses this tragedy to promote their agenda is pathetic. Any network that accepts propaganda films from jihadists is in league with them. One of our brave soldiers died. I don't want to hear anything from anyone except "God watch over his soul."
Yashmak-
And hundreds of thousands have died for...what in Iraq, exactly? Peace? Democracy? A useful ally?
And your grasp of history is at best tenuous. If you had to argue which was a greater threat to the US, Nazi Germany or Iraq under Saddam, which would you pick? (Hint: the correct answer is Nazi Germany.)
DMC-
I am not self-loathing. I loathe those who upon finding reality an inconvenience to their political opinions, dismiss it.
Methadras-
That's the most ridiculous scenario I've ever read. If you honestly think that terorists are somehow going to conquer our country you'd be...well, wrong. And by the way, do you think he war in Iraq is helping that situation not come to pass by weakening our country?
Ciddad-
I appreciate what you did in Vietnam, and the willingness of your sons to serve. But that doesn't make you any more qualified to speak on this than I am.
Xanthippas,
Timid tactics and 'Less than perfect' execution by our planners does not negate the 'rightness' of the action to go in, anymore than a hanging curveball is proof that it was tactically the wrong pitch to throw. It's the difference between design and execution. Hello? Anyone home?
And the Bush Administration certainly overestimated the Iraqi population's backbone and willingness to stand up and fight for their future and their newly given freedom. Some peoples will fight for their freedom, and some won't. The Iraqis know where 95% of the bad guys, terrorists, "insurgents", imported Iranian Jihadists are right this minute. Anonymous, risk-free cell phone calls could point our troops to these cowardly murderers TONIGHT, and could have every night for the past 3 years. But those calls don't come, because: a) either the Iraqis won't take even that minimal effort to fight for their freedom, or b) they don't want freedom, and prefer the violent, revenge ways of their heritage, or c) they are incapable of "getting it." Ultimately Iraq may be lost, but it won't be because it wasn't the right thing to do, it will be because the Iraqis weren't up to it.
Please try to THINK, instead of just playing the donkey and Braying the party line. Failing that, stick to checkers. Chess is out of your league.
Thank you Joshua Booth, with all of my hart and soul, thank you Sir....
Thank you with all my heart and soul Joshua Booth, THANK YOU SIR!
ts,
If you cared so much about them, GP, you'd advocate getting them the hell out of Iraq.
Unlike a little misguided child like you we understand that we are at war. I know you have lived a sheltered life in your parents basement and do not understand some simple facts of life. Here are some of them for you.
1. The world is not the "happy bunnyland" you have been led to believe.
2. Yes, there are people out there that want to kill you simply because you exist.
3. In war people die.
4. In war you have to choose what side you are on. If you a citizen of a country on one side and aid the enemy of that country you are a traitor. To make this concept easy for you to understand considering your BDS addled pysche being a traitor is not a good thing. You are worse then the enemy because you are pretending to be on one side while really helping the other side. Traitors usually end up as the guest of honor at a human pinata party.
That, of course, is the only way these kids will stop being sniper-fodder.
Of course you would much rather prefer them to be jumping out of windows from the 100th floor of the WTC. That way you can laugh at them.
Those of us who truly give a damn about their lives want them sent back to The States where they might literally be able to get some rest.
Oh, spare me your false concerns. I have seen enough of your ilk to know you do not give a damn about them. You are the type that spit on our servicemen and women. But we know the true reason for your "concerns"-you certainly give a damn about your Islamofascist heroes that they are killing and do not want anymore of them to die.
If you can't/won't see the obvious failure/clusterfuck that the Iraq excursion has become, you're nothing more than a war-mongering blogger reveling in the death of a lot of brave Americans
You are a fool. One with little understanding of the situation as a whole. But, of course, you have no knowledge of what you are talking about that did not come from your LLL buddies who wholeheartedly support the Islamofascists. You would prefer things to go back to the way it was under Clinton where your Islamofascist heroes could blow up our troops and citizens at will knowing full well that the US would not do a thing about it.
Oh, you can spare us all your false concern about "brave Americans" because you really do not give a damn about them. You are like Cindy Sheehan who uses her son as a cheap prop for her political agenda. In fact I am surprised she hasn't dug him up and used him like her fellow LLL demonstrators use those papier mache puppets. In your case you are using them in a thinly veiled and disgusting fashion just to make a political point on a blog.
Xanthippas,
The only idiot I see here is you, little boy.
Now, I generally find that people who try to make themselves out to be akin to the ancient Greeks by using Greek handles and putting up pictures of statues are immature, arrogant little fools. Fools who generally have lived all their lives in their parents basements or as professional college students. Fools who think they are so much more intelligent then the rest of us but with every word they utter prove just how ignorant they truly are.
You know what, Xan? The ancient Greeks who you seem to like to associate yourself with would have recognized the threat of Islamofascism and would have fought it much harder then we are. They would have killed all the men, enslaved all their women and children and then scorched the earth. Of course you do not understand this because you have no understanding of history outside of what your LLL revisionist history professors feed you.
The ancient Greeks would also not tolerate idiots of your kind in their midst. They were not kind to traitors.
Now for a little batting practise with the Clue Bat(TM)...
Uh, it would be ridiculous to "blame" Roosevelt for WWII, as he was fighting a horrible Nazi menance, and didn't make a case to invade another nation that barely threatened us.
We can blame WWII on your "intellecutal forefathers" who used the same arguments to keep people from trying to stop Hitler before things got to the point where the only way to stop him was a full scale war. Your "intellecutal forefathers" thought that Hitler was a great leader, the German people were "downtrodden and victimized" by Britaln and France, their demands for land "perfectly reasonable" and their jewish policies made perfect sense. They also called Winston Churchill a "drunken, imperialistic warmonger" for advocating that Hitler needed to be taken out before he could drag the whole continent and the world into another war.
In fact your "intellecutal forefathers" fully supported Hitler up until the time he invaded their holy Soviet Union because Hitler in their minds was not a threat until he threatened the Communists. Don't believe me? Go and actually study the history of the time. Not the revisionist drivel your LLL History professor will feed you but the actual history.
Apparently, I have a considerably greater "sense" of history than you do.
My, my, my! Don't you have such a high opinion of yourself, Xanthippas. You are just another poster child for the old adage "It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open it and remove all doubt.".
And hundreds of thousands have died for...what in Iraq, exactly? Peace? Democracy? A useful ally?
Of course you would prefer that millions die because we did nothing to stop them until it was too late. You know, even your European LLL comrades are beginning to get the clue that the Islamofascists need to be stopped before it is too late to without billions dying and western civilization destroyed. They are beginning to get the clue that the Islamofascists do not care to live in harmony with the west-they want to destroy it.
BTW-you are aware of the fact that the great museums of Europe are arranging to move their collections to the U.S. for safekeeping. Why are they doing that? Because they know there will be a war and do not want thousands of years of art and literature going the way of the Buddhas in Afghanistan.
And your grasp of history is at best tenuous. If you had to argue which was a greater threat to the US, Nazi Germany or Iraq under Saddam, which would you pick? (Hint: the correct answer is Nazi Germany.)
You are showing your ignorance with this statement. But that is not surprising, your LLL "intellectual forefathers" made the same damn arguments back in the 1930's.
I am not self-loathing. I loathe those who upon finding reality an inconvenience to their political opinions, dismiss it.
Then you are indeed self loathing because you are finding reality to be a great hinderance to you and your fellow lunatics in your "reality-based community". You openly are rooting for and assisting the Islamofascists just because of your BDS addled mind and your politics. Unfortuantely for you in the "reality-based community" there are too many of us who actually live in the real world and see you and your Islamofascist heroes for who and what they are.
That's the most ridiculous scenario I've ever read. If you honestly think that terorists are somehow going to conquer our country you'd be...well, wrong.
What a ignorant little boy you are!
That is the same kind of thinking that the Euroelites have peddled for decades. Unfortunately for them they are beginning to realise that the Islamofascists mean business. You will note some inteeresting changes in Europe in the last couple months. Ones that if they took place here you would be screeching bloody murder about. There are more that are coming. And knowing how the French operate you will be seeing alot of blood running in the streets of France very, very soon.
Then who are you going to look up to, Xan? The Europeans are about to start to behave worse then those "cowboy Americans" they and you so hate. The Euros already *GASP!* listen in on phone conversations, monitor internet activity and financial transactions. Soon they will start running off the Islamists by force and they will also get rid of their LLL elitists who sold them into the position they are in. If you had the understanding of history that you pretend to you would be able to see what is coming.
And by the way, do you think he war in Iraq is helping that situation not come to pass by weakening our country?
If you had even one millionth of the understanding of history, politics and military tactics that you think you do you would see the sheer stupidity of the comment you made.
Here is a teeny hint for you. It is not wise tactics to sit and wait for the enemy to hit you. You hit them first, and if you can not do that you then take the fight to them, you do not fight it on your own soil.
I appreciate what you did in Vietnam, and the willingness of your sons to serve. But that doesn't make you any more qualified to speak on this than I am.
Oh yes it does, stupid little boy. Why? Because he has actually been there and done that. Not only that but he also has a much greater understanding of the world and reality then you do. When you have actually gone out and done something then you can come back and talk to us. Until then we are a bit tired of being lectured to by an know nothing arrogant and ignorant little boy who only just learned how to piss in a pot and has never been out of his parents basement.
Now, little boy, you better start running back to the fever swamps of the DU/Kos before your poor widdle little self-esteem gets hurt.
I believe xanthas is right, we should pull our troops from Iraq because they are getting killed. Then, when any of our troops die anywhere, we simply remove them.
So when we are attacked here in America again, and a soldier is killed, we can simply reassign the troops back hom...oh wait...uhh...I think I need to reconfigure my logic stream before I continue.
Oi xanthippas
I wish I could share your sanguine view that the Nazihadi are no real threat to the West.
But they are my friend. What it is you see, is that because We have battled through and survived lethal threats in the now distant past, people like you have been conditioned to assume that this world always ends up nice and cosy. In truth, the peace our soldiers protect, is an anomaly; the security that you and I enjoy, is not the norm and will have to be maintained at a higher cost than we are accustomed to.≤p≥Do you honestly think that the West was not in their sights way before 9/11? Can you really, happily envisage this world with the Nazihadi's back in control of Iraq? Please give yourself a jab with something sharp or hot, see if you can startle yourself awake.
"And hundreds of thousands have died for...what in Iraq, exactly? Peace? Democracy? A useful ally?
And your grasp of history is at best tenuous. If you had to argue which was a greater threat to the US, Nazi Germany or Iraq under Saddam, which would you pick? (Hint: the correct answer is Nazi Germany.)"
My grasp on history is tenuous? YOU'RE the one who said FDR didn't make a case for invading a nation that barely threatened us, when that's exactly what happened for us to go to war against Nazi Germany, a nation which barely threatened us.
You should read nahanni's response. There's an example of an individual who actually knows their history. . . as opposed to someone like you who makes completely unfounded statements and then namecalls at people who point out their errors. Well, dahanni namecalls a bit too, but at least he knows what he's talking about.
"If you honestly think that terorists are somehow going to conquer our country you'd be...well, wrong."
The same could've been said about Nazi Germany, or Japan, but it was somehow right to go to war with them, but wrong to go to war with a virtual identical twin 60 some-odd years later?? Japan couldn't even take Hawaii, let alone launch an invasion of the lower 50 . .not even at their peak. Pick up a book on 20th century history. Try one that's positively reviewed by historians, rather than one from WaPo or NYT's approved reading list.
"I appreciate what you did in Vietnam, and the willingness of your sons to serve. But that doesn't make you any more qualified to speak on this than I am."
I actually agree with you there. What makes these people more qualified to speak is their superior familiarity with historical FACT, rather than a shaky impression-based opinion on what history was. . .which seems to be all you have to offer. What makes a person more qualified to speak is knowledge, rather than opinion. You apparently have plenty of the latter, work on the former.
CNN Terrorist Outreach
"Anti-Americanism pays off for us over there, no doubt about it," says the CNN employee. "Questions were raised about this video and the way we got it. Once it was confirmed that it was real, the next question was how did we get it. And the answer was, we promised to give the terrorists a fair shake. I know that we are saying there was soul-searching here about running the tape. But I didn't see much of that. There were somber people here, but there was also a segment of people on staff, once the tape had run and created a firestorm, that celebrated. They thought they were so courageous."
Disgusting, yet not surprising.
All I have to say to the entire staff of CNN is that you will not enjoy the consequences of your actions.
Why don't all of you shut the fuck up and pick up a rifle. Sick of both sides "blah, blah, blah." Especially the Hawks who want war but have an excuse when it comes your turn to serve!
BTW, when Saddam was using chemical weapons on the Kurds, Rumsfeld was shaking hands with the bastard. The only way for this "war on terror" to end is if one side is completely obliterated.
As close friend of this Marine's wife, whether you support the war or you don't it makes me very sad that his memory is being used to make people choose sides. Let his family and his memory rest in peace for heaven's sake.
"BTW, when Saddam was using chemical weapons on the Kurds, Rumsfeld was shaking hands with the bastard"
You're about 6 years apart.
This sniping controversy reminds me of Don't Go. It seems that showing carnage works against American troops. In fact, it works against the war and public perception. Troops need to just deal with seeing comrades die and the prospect of their own death. That the reality is broadcast for everyone to see and scrutinize just psychologically forces troops to confront what they already do confront. Maybe they disagree with graphic war imagery because it will scare people they know at home. Whatever the perceived offense, the gory stuff should be reported on with audiovisuals and not an abbreviated "blah dead blah wounded" statement. Better reporting would make more people outraged and rightly opposed to the occupation.

alright, to all you shitheads who oppose this war...have to put in their 2 cents about what they think is right or wrong...how they have no clue about the people over there who are fighting for YOUR right to act like a complete fucking moron...SHUT YOUR MOUTH! you sit in your nice plush leather chair and think you have an opinion that is worthy enough to be said. you get your panties in a wad when you hear about something on the news that is happening 5000 miles away, but it affects you? go shit in your hat.
i knew josh booth. we went to high school together. he sat in front of me in almost every class, we were in the same homeroom. do you think he wanted to see someone's head blown off on tv? fuck no. nothing but honor and integrity. yea he mouthed off every once in a while but who didn't when they were 17? he believed that you had to stand up for what you believe in...not sit in front of a goddamn computer and think you're king shit. hey was a great kid and fought for YOU! show respect for all soldiers.
