Human Shields in Iraq

Looking for safety.

A young Iraqi seeks shelter behind a U.S. soldier following a suicide blast. (RofP)

These human shields are not exactly your Code Pink variety.

** I am thinking that I have seen this photo before- But I don't really care.
It is just amazing.

UPDATE: You must see Military Motivator's interpretation of this photo!

Substitute every trash-talking lefty for that boy, and you get a stark demonstration of their moral worth.

I saw this on another blog site a few days ago, but (as usual) the lefties used the comments as the opportunity to start the bushitlerhaliburton meme... to which I could only respond, "The boy doesn't know why or care why that soldier is in Iraq: he simply has learned that the American soldier is the Good Guy and that the Soldier would give his own life to protect the child." Nothing more. Nothing less.

I can't be lieve how powerful that picture is. Thanks. A great image. It reminds me of the shot of the US soldier cradling a wounded Iraqi girl.
