Islamic Terrorism Raps China
Three Chinese workers were murdered by killers "shouting religious slogans" at a rickshaw factory in Peshawar on Monday.

The killers were shouting religious slogans as they shot the Chinese workers dead in front of the rickshaw factory.

While police maintained it was a robbery attempt, a local witness said the attackers with their faces covered were shouting religious slogans when they opened fire on the four Chinese nationals in a three-wheel auto-rickshaw factory at Khazana, a town some eight kilometers from Peshawar.Beijing pressured Pakistan to protect the reported 5,000 Chinese in the country after the three Chinese citizens were shot dead by suspected militant gunmen.
The fourth Chinese were seriously wounded and is admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. e said, "My son and two nephews were killed, everything is finished."
Khazana Police Station officer Moharrir Ghaffar was quoted by the Daily Times as saying that the four Chinese nationals had been attacked at around 9.30 p.m. near the Landi Sarak area, where they were building three-wheeled Qinqi auto-rickshaws...
The incident comes in the wake of China voicing support for the Pakistani Government's crackdown on the Lal Masjid.

The chinese were shot by someone shouting religious slogans? Were they jewish slogans? How about catholic slogans? Nah, they must have been presbyterian slogans.
Lal Masjid (Urdu: لال مسجد; literally Red Mosque) is a radical mosque following the Salafist version of Islam located in Islamabad. Just in case you didn't really know;)
I was afraid maybe it was those shoutin' Southern Baptists. You know how WE are!!

What ever happened to the promise Bush made after 911 that any country harboring terrorists would be held accountable..
Held accountable alright - we are giving over ONE BILLION dollars a year in aid money now to Pakistan.
While this will not be seen by the Chinese government as a violation of the unspoken "nonaggression pact" (China stays out of the way of Islamic terrorists and fundamentalists in central Asia and they don't stir up the Islamic Chinese in the west of the nation) since it was a small scale isolated incident and outside of China, it might give them pause to wonder how long this understanding will hold. The desire to spreading Islam in China must be a huge temptation for those with more foresight than to just shoot Chinese people in Pakistan. It will be interesting to see if the Communists begin to see Islam to be as great a threat as Democracy.

This was part of what I worried about a few months back looking at the directivity of China. It has multiple provinces with high poverty rates, with 60% of the poor living in Western China and 9 provinces having a poverty rate >15% and one >30%. Add to that the crony capitalism that has been going on, and a Non-Performing Loan rate of unstructured debt three times what it was for the 'Asian Tigers' before their bubbles collapsed and nearly four time Japan's when its imploded, plus the smuggling routes in Western China and the difficulty of policing them... and that area is tailor made for the al Qaeda concept of 'step in with cash, influence the locals and then start to fracture the host Nation'.
Eastern China has other problems with smuggling and high levels of disaffected individuals and working conditions that are more out of Dickens than anything in even the 20th century. They don't use labor saving equipment as they do not need it: life is cheap. And those with the cheap lives can be swayed by cash... and if you can't even leave the rural situation, then individuals are even more susceptible to that. And all those poor folks are out on the borders of India/Kashmir, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan... and since the Talibe and al Qaeda are having problems in Afghanistan, they now look elsewhere into Pakistan, Kashmir and, apparently, China. That we hear *anything* from China like this is worrying, as its system is pretty much closed to this type of news getting out easily.

One thing you have to remember is that China doesn't really give a crap about what the "international community" thinks. The LLL's love communism anyway so they will probably have support rallies for them.
Remember that the Chinese have problems with Islamofascists for years, too. The difference is they don't put up with them. What they do is publicly execute them then charge their family for the bullet. They also give the family the bullet to remind them of what happens to Islamofascists in China.
No, what will happen is that if the Islamofascists keep pushing China the Chinese eventually will push back. Allah better help Kashmir and Pakistan if the do, because no one else will. The Chinese will roll in and clear the lot of them out and not give a tinkers damn how many bodies that ends up being. Once the Chinese go in, they won't be coming back out. At least the LLL's will have a "Free Kashmir" and "Free Pakistan" bumperstickers to go along with their "Free Tibet" ones on their Volvo's.

China already has a muslim population in the west and in excess of 2000 riots country wide last year.
