Another-- "Lazy" Fred Thompson Morning

Fred Thompson was in Missouri today.
He gave a speech at the Kansas City National Convention of the VFW.

A friend of mine was at the event this morning and emailed this report. This is what he said about Thompson's "lazy" morning:

Breakfast
Policy Meeting
Policy Meeting
Speech
Rope line
Photo op with VFW members
Radio Interview
Radio Interview
Newspaper Interview
And, all of that reportedly happened before 10:45 am in the morning!

That's not exactly the picture you get from the liberal media.

UPDATE: The St. Louis P-D has a good article today about honest Fred Thompson.

I agree that the media is distorting Sen. Thompson's activity levels and engagement, but that's of no surprise. What is more surprising is that he gave such an awful, awful speech today before the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Can anyone who actually listened to his entire speech honestly claim that he has a solid grasp of the most crucial issue of our time - our national security? Seriously, if you review the text of his remarks - without attribution - an impartial observer would come to the conclusion that the speaker was a lightweight. Now, do the same thing with Sen. Obama's text, which I dare say was intelligent, insightful, and inspriring. Seriously folks, Sen. Thompson has a LOOOOONG way to go... don't you think he should be more impressive and inspiring right out of the box? Time to cut the mustard...

  2. Yeah, you drooled that way "anonymously" for a solid reason;
Had you performed any research whatsoever you would know Fred has spoken often about our nation's security but, that wasn't on your agenda was it. You also laughably "dared to say" just the opposite of what Obama is, a solid moron, blind and fear-inspiring.

Cut the mustard from your keyboard and start doing your homework son because stone ignorance is no way to go through life.

  3. winghunter,

The troll does provide a useful service in this case. You will note that the nutroots (of which our brave anonymous troll is a member of), their Democratic party allies and it's MSM propaganda wing and the rest of the anti-US/western civilization LLL are afraid of Fred. So much so that they have gone into full feces flinging monkey mode. From trashy hit pieces about Fred and his wife to attempting to get him in trouble with the FEC.

They phear the Fred. Why? Because they know that if he does decide to run it is game over for the Democrats. So they are trying their best to run him off before he announces. As Fred has proven time and time again he will not play their game and in fact will turn it around on them. There is no way the Democrats can compete on a level playing field-all the Democratic party candidates are anti American communists in varying shades of red. It took every trick in the Democrats playbook to win the mid term election and they can not use that in the 2008 election considering how horribly Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats have done since then.

Just try to imagine the Fred Thompson vs any Dem nominee debate. He would make Silky Pony look like a ten year old boy wearing his daddy's suit. Hillary would have to let loose with that shrill-Nurse Ratchet voice of hers in order to avoid becoming invisible. Even better, she'll trot out one of her fake voices. Who will it be today? Black Preacher Hillary? Maybe Kentucky Colonel Hillary? OOoh, or my favorite, lifetime Yankee fan Hillary! "EH! I'm from Da Bronx just like Youse guys! Vote fah me!" Obama? He's barely coherent while he's making a solo speech. Thompson will make him look like an idiot. Who do you want as CIC? Barack Hussein? Or Fred Thompson. My money's on Fred. That's why the media (aka, the communications arm of the DNC) has to take shots at Fred now. He scares them, and they know why.

Actually, I'm a solid Republican. I can't say that I'd ever vote for Obama (certainly not Clinton), but have to say that compared to Sen. Thompson, he gave a great speech. My comments were meant to be more geared to those of us who really want to see Sen. Thompson shine. But, to date, I just have not seen it. Did you all actually see/listen to Sen. Thompson's speech? I've given many public speeches, from the hundreds to the thousands, and have to say that he was NOT in command of the topic. With some of those talks I was totally prepared, with others I wasn't. I know what it feels like, and he was NOT. To win over folks who have a deep understanding of the national security issue, he will have to demonstrate a much deeper grasp. To inspire the masses, he'll have to be MUCH more polished. Hope he can pull it off, it is going to be a tough race no matter who the Dems elect. No need for personal attacks here, lets have a discussion, ok?
