She's playing on our fears!
Democratic rivals are scandalized that Hillary would dare claim they are weak on terror.
The Washington Post reported:
WOLFEBORO, N.H., Aug. 24 -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton drew outrage from her opponents for the Democratic presidential nomination on Friday after saying that a terrorist attack in the United States would give Republicans an edge in the 2008 race.Sorry Hillary...
At a small gathering in New Hampshire on Thursday, Clinton raised the possibility of another terrorist strike, saying she would be the best Democrat to confront the Republicans in the wake of such an event. Her comments drew fire from not only her rivals but also the liberal blogosphere, with her detractors accusing her of seeking to use terrorism as a political weapon, just as Republicans have in earlier elections.
Former senator John Edwards (N.C.), speaking to reporters here late Friday, accused Clinton of "engaging in a political calculation" about terrorism. Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.) called Clinton's remarks "tasteless."
Speaking at a house party the night before, Clinton said, "It's a horrible prospect to ask yourself, 'What if? What if?' "
"But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world," she said. "So I think I'm the best of the Democrats to deal with that, as well."
Blake Zeff, a Clinton spokesman, did not back away from her remarks. "Senator Clinton was making clear that she has the strength and experience to keep the country safe," Zeff said on Friday.
Clinton took an immediate hit online. Left-leaning bloggers accused her of conceding a key Republican talking point without a fight and blithely accepting a Karl Rove-like framing of the terrorism debate.
You're no different than the rest of the democratic weaklings.
Hillary fits just fine with this group of imps and fact changers:
And... That video doesn't even begin to touch on Hillary's ever changing positions on Iraq.
Hat Tip Cornhusker
A most excellent video montage Jim!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the Dem0rats hate Fox News ... LOL!
Come to think of it the libtards hate Fox News too!...ROFLMAO!
I knew this would happen sooner or later. It is inevitable that she must begin to become hawkish again to distinguish herself from her rivals. All that silly peace talk was just to keep the heat off her until she raised a lot of money but now she needs to start solidifying her support.Hillary will be the nominee. Of that there is no doubt. The rest of it is all for show.Barack and Biden and Edwards will all step aside when the time comes but for now the DNC has something for everybody. It's like a leftie buffet.
ReplyDeleteHillary's challenge you see is not to win her base. She already has it. Of course they will vote for her.
She needs to take some votes from the other side of the aisle. She can't do that with the Kumbayah routine because even her supporters know sh'e full of beans with that.Hillary will begin to sound more and more like a Republican in the coming months.
Don't believe it though. In her heart she is a left as they come.

ReplyDeleteIt is beyond me how these democrats voted for the war in Iraq, but then afterwards decided to change their minds and blame Bush for everything. What a bunch of losers and idiots. It would be like saying, I sanctioned the dropping of a nuclear bomb, but all the deaths and destruction it caused is someone else's fault.
ReplyDelete"It is beyond me how these democrats voted for the war in Iraq, but then afterwards decided to change their minds and blame Bush for everything"...
ReplyDeleteHey joanne the Dems with the help of the MSM have depended on the very dependable inability of the American public to pay attention and to remember...
I mean Dec. 16, 1998 wasn't that long ago and how many remember what the dope from Hope and his retinue said back then?

ReplyDeletejaundos..
not to mention what Bill said in October 2003.. or Hillary in 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members...
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

This is all a complete sham. I hope my friends & neighbors understand that Hillary! is now making statements calculated to make her appear to be a "centrist." (Maybe she should inaugurate the first presidential campaign for the Centrist Party.) The predictable umbrage of the hard-core, radical Leftists in Blogospheria will melt away the instant she is nominated as the Democrat candidate.
ReplyDeleteEverything with the Clintons is a sham. Hillary! will have little trouble defeating Silky Pony, Empty Suit and Hair Club for Senators. They exist today only for the show.
Keep your eyes open for a "third party candidacy" in 2008, in another Clintonista effort to draw votes from the Dumb Party.
Remember, the Devil lurks within the lie.
