They took down the Israeli flag at the warehouse...

And... They hoisted the Palestinian flag. (UK Indymedia)
It was part of their protest against carbon emissions(?)
Here is part of the "green activists" report on the attack on the warehouse:
The General Manager, Amos Orr was called out, and on his arrival he seemed most upset to see his staff group standing under the Palestinian and Anarcho-syndicalist flags. Staff had seemed unconcerned about the new flags prior to this, and one staff member is quoted as saying "I don't give a damn about this war crimes and anti-semitism nonsense!" By now staff should be fully aware that the actions are against the company's involvement in marketing settlement goods, and should realise that aggression is uneccesary and pointless. The Pro-Enviroment/Anti-Israel activists chained themselves to the trailers inside the warehouse and shut down operations for three hours.

The "Green" activists also took down the Israeli flag at the warehouse. (UK Indemedia)
UK IndyMedia had this report on the attack at the Jewish warehouse:
40 activists left Climate Camp undetected and have occupied Carmel Agrexco, the 50 % Israeli state owned exporter/distributor of Illegal settlement produce from the West Bank.It was not the first time that the young Leftists attacked the Jewish warehouse.
The Israeli flag is no longer flying outside the depo and all the gates have people D locked to them, blocking in a food lorry.
Well done !!

** Charles Johnson and Breitbart.com posted an initial report on the warehouse attack.
TigerHawk has thoughts.
Personally, I've always supported moving vehicles and opening gates with the protesting cretins still attached to them. Let's see if they are REALLY willing to die for their cause.
ReplyDeleteThat didn't work out too well in the case of Rachel Corrie, did it? But it would be nice if they could be left there for a day or two, getting progressively sorer necks, sitting in their own filth.
ReplyDeleteActually, I think Corrie probably got what she wanted - "martyrdom".
ReplyDeleteIf they're going to protest, they
ReplyDeleteshould pinpoint just exactly what
it is they're protesting about.
I fail to see the connection between
environmentalism and West Bank
produce grown by illegal Israeli
settlers. It raises questions about
the true purpose of the group.
Is it an anti-semetic crew, or is it
an environmentalist group?
Was an environmentalist group
co-opted by an anti-Israel faction?
Or are we facing multi-tasking
protests in the future, which might
protest against any combinations of
things, willy-nilly, such as staging
protests simultaneously against a
national ID card, global warming
and chickens raised in cages?
Muggins,
ReplyDeleteYou are trying to make sense. These people are not FOR anything in these protests. They are against EVERYTHING. They are nihilists.
The original concept they have suborned is tear down the old to build the new. They are stuck on the tear down part and assume that new and better will just automatically arise from their destruction. Fat chance. These are people who can't make anything better. They are acting without judgement in their destructive behavior. They are enemies of humanity.
I wish I had been there with some chains and padlocks of my own. What fun to add new shackles and then clear off with the keys....
ReplyDeleteMonty
As with the above commenter, I'd just move the trucks/trailers w/the a$$holes chained to them...see if they do it again in the future..."don't do that you could get hurt", said the parent to the child..."if you chain yourself to our vehicles, when we have to move them, you'll get dragged", said the building manager...
ReplyDeleteThese people are the modern barbarians, they contribute nothing and only wish to destroy...in the process they will destroy civilization along with themselves.
...they will destroy civilization along with themselves.
ReplyDeleteThat's the ultimate goal, don't you know? To these mental defectives, western civilization represents all that is evil.
What in the heck do these people hope to accomplish? Honestly... it's like spitting in to the wind.
ReplyDeleteAs my friends say, "Hey Activist wierdos! Don't go away mad! Just go away!"
Common sense, rationality and solutions are not strong points of leftists
ReplyDeleteThey aim to create such chaos that the average person is willing to give them something, anything, to go away
Something should be added here about Danegelds and the payment status thereof
"To these mental defectives, western civilization represents all that is evil."
ReplyDeleteBut of course they would never try these tactics in a country that needs some upheaval like Iran or wherever. They know they can get away with staging provocative and attention grabbing events like this without much harm, because in western civilization the average person would feel pity and remorse for causing harm even to jerks like that.
In Saudi Arabia or Somalia or even their beloved "Palestine" the activists would be thrown in prison and tortured, and the governments of these places would just ignore any of the bad PR that would follow.
I wonder if these kids could be sued for damages. I'd bet a couple of them have fairly nice trust funds.
ReplyDeleteThis is just another example of how the LLL's stated "causes" are nothing but a poorly veiled facade for their true agenda-they destruction of western civilization and the installation of their own totalitarian regime.
ReplyDeleteThey have never cared about freedom in any form, womens rights, human rights, the environment.
Unfortunately for them more and more people are seeing them for who and what they are.
When I read about such happenings, I chuckle. They hate the West but would be nowhere without the West’s freedoms. And they fail to realize that if they got their way, they would be some of the first victims of the revolution.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is ridiculous. Any truly GREEN person wouldn't hoist a Palestinian flag. All the Palestinians have done with their land since they were given it is to turn it into a parking lot. The Jews have turned Israel within several decades into a flourishing, green haven brimming with lush vegetation. The Palestinians can barely grow a weed in their cracked pavements.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately a primary force behind antisemitism today is from the political left. Its been going on for a while now. As long as this type of hatred is leftist oriented it will always have cover from the purveyors of so-called respectable opinion who tend to share this political orientation, although perhaps less overtly. Not every group is created equal on the left's grand list of privileged
ReplyDelete"victims", and the Jews are invariably at the bottom of the list.
I'm looking at alledgedly pro environmentalist morons are wearing in the way of clothes...
ReplyDeleteClothes with chemical dyes, shoes that have soles with a cyanogen component to them, and metal locks made of alloys that have all sorts of less than evironmentally friendly components that go into the making of them...
Hmmm, well Husky makes an item that would remove those protestors in a hurry...:-)
Then recycling the leftovers would be a snap...
You know, I've thought of a way to deal with these morons. You place a large poly livestock tank or child's wading pool 15 feet in front of the D-locked idiot, filled with water of a pleasant temperature. Then bring forth buckets of non-stinging ants and dump them on the protesting fool. Keep dumping buckets of ants on the idiot. If he wants to avoid the ants he can unlock himself and plunge into the pool to remove the ants and end his discomfort. Then he can be escorted off property and prosecuted.
ReplyDeleteHow can a greenie object to being intermingled with God's natural, nonstinging creatures?
Seeing them padlocked to the fixtures makes a good case for suspending public urination restrictions for the day. What a perfect way to engage them in some meaningful dialog.
ReplyDeleteSo these people are hate-filled nihilists. And you guys commenting here are... full of love and constructive ideas. Obviously.
ReplyDelete"Common sense, rationality and solutions are not strong points of leftists"
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again.
Green Party supporter: "The expiration date on this bottle of milk is a whole ten days in the future! What evil chemicals is the food industry using to accomplish that?"
Me: "Those evil chemicals are called pasteurization and refrigeration, dummy, and they've been in use for over 150 years. All that's changed are ever-better techniques for keeping the equipment clean and sterile, the containers properly sealed, and the entire shipping process perfectly refrigerated. Better get your meds adjusted."
barbryn whines petulantly: "you guys commenting here are... full of love and constructive ideas"...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, so your idea to stop people from impeding the flow of commerce (commerce that gets people paid so they can have places to live, stuff to wear and food to eat) is what exactly?
Wait! Maybe you believe these enviorloon hypocrites are onto something substantive, right?
Gosh! A witless whinny from another from an intifada imbecile just adds frosting to the cake...
juandos writes: "Gosh! A witless whinny from another from an intifada imbecile just adds frosting to the cake..."
ReplyDeleteThere was me thinking you weree serious, but turns out I've stumbled into some ShelleyTheRepublican subsite. Obviously I missed the part of my post where I pledged my support for the intifada.
For the record, the vast majority of enviroloons had nothing to do with this, and I've yet to meet one who opposes pasteurisation. In fact, we're quite into science - like the overwhelming evidence from climate scientists that says if we don't do something about anthropogenic global warming, like, now, more people are going to die, more refugees are going to be created, than already have.
As for disrupting commerce... I reckon commerce can cope, and if a bit of awareness-raising disruption saves the economy billions in the future (viz the Stern report, by chief UK government economist Sir Nicholas Enviroloon-Stern), then all well and good, eh?
Peace and love, y'all.
barbryn living to be wrong now jumps off into the deep end: "For the record, the vast majority of enviroloons had nothing to do with this, and I've yet to meet one who opposes pasteurisation. In fact, we're quite into science - like the overwhelming evidence from climate scientists that says if we don't do something about anthropogenic global warming, like, now, more people are going to die, more refugees are going to be created, than already have"
ReplyDeleteObviously you are either blind, lying to us and yourself, or you don't get out much...
The vast majority of the enviroloons would just as soon take up the idiot Paleoswinian cause as seen on college campus areas around the country...
BTW thanks for reminding me that the majority of real climate scientists do not believe in the myth of human induced weather change but the enviroloons do...
BTW did you know that the Global Warming Doomsday Has Been Called Off ?
Don't forget this little incident as an example of handling protestors like this.
ReplyDeletejuandos, keep picking those cherries. I'd be delighted if we're wrong, obviously. Meanwhile, over here we'll do our best to prepare for a more sustainable future, and if it turns out Michael Crichton is right after all, hey, at least we'll be in a better position when peak oil bites.
ReplyDeleteNow, if you'll excuse me, I must get going on my sponsored bike ride to protest about the evils of penecillin and raise funds for suicide bombers.
barney says: "juandos, keep picking those cherries"...
ReplyDeleteWell there's tons and tons of these alledged, ' cherries ' out there barney, how many tons do you want?
"over here we'll do our best to prepare for a more sustainable future"
Pray tell what socialist program might that be?
Thankfully the sustainable future is left in the hands of capable people who already know that oil peak is nonsense ...
"I must get going on my sponsored bike ride to protest about the evils of penecillin and raise funds for suicide bombers"...
Well its not like the enviro-loons haven't already sided with the PaleoSwinians using the environment as an excuse
This is a really odd blog spot. Paleoswinians? i.e. Old Pigs. Really, these types of terms are racist. 75% of Palestinians live below the poverty line. Isreal, between the years 1948-1993, recieved the equal combined aid rate of all other world nations from the United States of America and still recieves the greatest foreign aid from the U.S.A. of any nation on earth. Isreal is the 5th largest nuclear country in the world with a completely modern war machine which is unrivaled for 1000s of miles. The state of Isreal has created an aparteid in the West Bank recognized as such by officials from South Africa.
ReplyDeleteThese protestors are not nihilists who aren't for anything. They are for human rights and climate change awareness.
