Relatives of Cannibals Who Ate Missionaries Say They're Sorry

"We're sorry!"

They sound like decent people.

The descendants of cannibals in Papua New Guinea, held a ceremony of reconciliation, attended by thousands,where they said sorry for their forefathers' actions. Their forefathers killed and ate four Fijian missionaries in 1878.

The missionaries in a group of Methodist ministers and teachers who arrived in 1875 to spread Christianity.
