I thought DeLay ruined a perfectly good opportunity to say something positive about himself or the Republican party, as Lauer gave him many opportunities, but instead he acted like a child and only kept the attention on his embattled party member. If anything, Matt Lauer, was the only adult in the conversation.
While I think Tom did a good job, I would have answered Matt's original question then asked Matt a few others.
- We are seeing a couple of bad apples. It is not the entire Republican party.
- By the way, when are you going to do a story like this on the Democrats? You know, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Diane Feinstien all have "conflict of interest" and nepotism issues. Is the Democrat party falling apart?
