Did he really think he was fooling anyone?
Today, Hillary got honest.
Hillary and Obama joined forces with 24 other democrats and agreed that slurring generals during a time of war for political gain is a good thing.
Here they are- the 25 democrats to vote against supporting General Petraeus:
Akaka (D-HI)Obama did not vote.
Bingaman (D-NM)
Boxer (D-CA)
Brown (D-OH)
Byrd (D-WV)

Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Harkin (D-IA)
Inouye (D-HI)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Levin (D-MI)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Murray (D-WA)
Reed (D-RI)
Reid (D-NV)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Sanders (I-VT)

Rep. Pete Stark (D) added something like this to the MoveOn discussion today: "I commend MoveOn for their ad and for speaking truth to power"
But, please remember- Democrats support the troops!
(Until they say they don't.)

Just found your blog after fooling around with a search of the word "truth" within blogger profiles. I love this blog already and will be making a link on mine to it.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
5.5 hours north on the Avenue of the Saints in Cedar Falls, IA (and ashamed, once again, of our very own Senator Tom Harkin).

ReplyDeletethe media has a serious aversion to truth telling.. there's been absolutely no mention of those who voted "against Petraeus" & "for MoveOn.org".. they couldn't even bring themselves to say "23" Democrats voted "for Petraeus" & "against MoveOn.org".. and of course they couldn't help but frame it as being "22" Democrats voted with "Republicans", not "23" Democrats voted "for Petraeus" & "against MoveOn.org".. gah!!
pardon all the "quotes".. :D
