AHMADINEJAD at Columbia University

A SHAMEFUL DAY FOR AMERICAN EDUCATORS...
Mahmoud's live on WCBSTV

The President of the University Lee Bollinger is currently talking about free speech- too bad that doesn't mean free speech for all.
What a disgusting display!

WCBSTV also has a video of the outraged protesters outside of the campus HERE

Well, the kids rushed the stage when the Minutemen were there...
What sort of response will they give Mahmoud?

Columbia University graduate Steven Michael Gruber protests outside Columbia University, Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 in New York. Protesters gathered outside Columbia University to rally against the right of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to fulfill his controversial speaking engagement at the school. (AP Photo/Jason DeCrow)

Again-- Like he did on 60 Minutes Mahmoud is going down his list of democratic talking points.
It looks like he is shooting for a standing ovation from the dhimmis.

Pajamas Media has a Mahmoud-Roundup.
HotAir is recording the speech.

Mahmoud is bashing Israel for "terrorizing" the Palestinians for 60 Years!

SO FAR... Not a peep from the audience. Not one peep!
The audience is his to lose. He has them in the palm of his hand.
They are cheering him on now!
Good Lord!
* * * * *

They are cheering the genocide promoter again.
This country is in worse shape than we realized.
Now, Ahmadinejad is lying about the treatment of non-Muslims in Iran.
(More applause)
I guess no one at Columbia saw this news today.

Mahmoud is explaining that the Iranian nation is a victim of terrorism.
Mahmoud says his government was the first to fight terrorism.
How sad... He is shifting the blame for terrorism on the US and the audience is eating this crap with serving spoons.
How very sad.
The schools in this country are failing miserably.

Mahmoud is pushing for more research on the Holocaust and the audience is not saying a word- not a peep.

FOX News has a pretty good report on the talk so far.
President Bollinger said:

"Ahmadinejad's denial of the Holocaust might fool the illiterate and ignorant... When you come to a place like this it makes you simply ridiculous... The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history."
But, from the applause Mahmoud's getting from the university audience, Bollinger is the one who looks ridiculous.

Mahmoud Ahadinejad is winding up his speech.
He was a huge hit at the university!
Obviously, the students did not rush the stage during this talk.

Meanwhile...
The leading democratic blog compares Ahmadinejad with another world leader:
Ahmadinejad and Bush: Parallels and Second Comings

After all, they are both enemies to the American Left.
Well, Bush is anyway.

More--- BG commented below that Mahmoud claimed during his talk today that there was no problem with homosexuals in Iran. That they just don't have them.

Really?
Maybe it's because they EXECUTE THEM!

  5. If the Iranian responds to Bollinger's comments...but I don't think so.

I can only assume, listening to the response of the Columbia audience, that there is a significant number of Fellow Travelers in attendence. And, I wonder, how many Lefty Democrats belong to the amen choir.

    All Analysis, No Facts

    excerpt:

[The universities defended themselves on the grounds they teach analysis rather than facts but there is problem with their defense -- without a grounding in facts, what good is the ability to engage in proper analysis?

The failure of graduates of elite universities to understand the most basic and established facts explains much of the current debate on Iraq and the war on terror.]

Surprise! Bollinger's Speech Gets an A

    excerpt:

[I can’t pretend to understand Lee Bollinger. I’m not sure why he invited Mahmoud Ahmadenijad to disgrace his campus, and whether the invitation was a ruse to get the diminutive dinner jacket on the same stage so the Dean could blast the Mahdi with the Mahdi’s list of horribles. Regardless of how stupid inviting Ahmadenijad to the Columbia was in the first place, let’s give Bollinger credit for standing face-to-face with evil and calling it out.

If you didn’t see Billinger’s speech, you have no idea what I’m talking about. Suffice to say, Bollinger used the occasion to deliver a Sister Souljah moment on behalf of academia. His attack on the Mahdi was withering, something so harsh that it could have sprung from the modem of a conservative blogger. Bollinger’s speech today, for what it’s worth, gets an A . The Mahdi, clearly with hurt feelings, labeled the speech a “wave of insults.”

Will the rest of the left follow Dean Bollinger’s example? Not likely. The Daily Kos has a diary up reviewing Ahmadenijad’s Daily Press Club speech that concludes, “I have to say that I think our government and the MSM have really spun us on Iran and this guy… He ain't such a bad man.”

Dean Bollinger, if you want to be fair about things, has either partly or fully rehabilitated his reputation with his speech today. Believe me, I didn’t expect to be typing those words. The rest of the American left sadly has a lot of growing up left to do.]

lots more at link.. keep scrolling down
to "Ahmadinejad In His Own Words"

dang, i heard it, but i can't wait to read
    the Bollinger transcript!! (thumbsup)

I, for one, thank Columbia University for giving this opportunity. I am now more certain that more research is needed to substantiate all the claims made about the Holocaust. No one will dispute that Bush lied about WMDs so how can we trust what he says about the Holocaust? After all, it happened a long time ago, who can trust the minds of the old people, and, besides, 'the victors write the history'. President Ahmadinejad has really opened my eyes to all these lies! Thank you, Professor Bollinger!!!!!!

Bollinger should have given the exact same speech, but ended with "Accordingly, we cannot allow President Ahmadinejad speak at Columbia." Otherwise, it is nothing but cover for a craven decision that is illuminated, perhaps, by the applause for Ahmadinejad from the audience.

not that it wouldn't be thoroughly staged of course.. however, it is all about them (academia, the messianic saviors of the world) in the end isn't it..

A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual act such as forplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not comitted a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's sister."]

"I am now more certain that more research is needed to substantiate all the claims made about the Holocaust. No one will dispute that Bush lied about WMDs so how can we trust what he says about the Holocaust?"

Despite either your willful Mohammedan blindness, or your Bush Derangement Syndrome, no person has ever claimed that the truth of Holocaust relies on the testimony of George W Bush. The President whose name has escaped you is Eisenhower, though he wasn't President when he liberated the camps.

    http://www.eisenhower.utexas.edu/dl/holocaust/holocaustpage.html

Thank God that Ike had the foresight to stamp his feet and insist that people from the media and government come to see with their own eyes and record for posterity what happened at Dachau, Treblinka, Buchenwald, Auschwitz and the rest. It is hard to believe how prescient he was in his belief that someday people might claim it hadn't really happened. Someday, Ike thought, someone might try to deny that these things had happened either for political or racial reasons, and he wanted to make certain that it would be impossible to do this.

The only way to deny the Holocaust is to willingly close your eyes to the abundant photographic and written records that document it. You have to believe that Hitler and his henchmen and Eisenhower and his generals had reason to lie about the same thing. For what purpose?

The Mad Imam up there at Columbia probably wouldn't have to walk too many blocks to find someone who survived a camp and has the serial number tattoo to prove it.

Bollinger said he'd gladly invite Hitler in a heartbeat just as he invited Ahmadinejad.

The question is would be be as glad and quick to invite Chen Shui-bian to speak *as* himself as per his job: the president of Taiwan. Afterall, he is a democratic leader of a free state, and far more worthy of an audience and frank discussion than murderous psychopaths like Bolinger's prefered guests.

My money is that he would never let the thought enter his mind.

  24. Apparently, out of 500-600 students present at the speech, only 20-30 of them who happened to be near the cameras were those you hear cheering and applauding.

Other students there have described the bulk of the crowd as disgusted by Mahmoud's speech, and described the audience laughing not WITH him, but AT him during his vile revisionism regarding the Holocaust.

    As for this:
"No one will dispute that Bush lied about WMDs so how can we trust what he says about the Holocaust?"

A lie is intentional. When you're given faulty information, and pass that information on to the public, it's not a lie. There. I did it. I dispute that Bush lied about WMD's. Strange that this "Bush lied" meme persists, considering prominent Democrat Senators, including one who is a current Presidential candidate and one who ran against Bush in the last election both made claims similar to Bush about WMD's at the time. Why? Because they had the same information. If you want to say that Bush lied about WMD's, then so did the current Democratic Presidential front-runner. . .Hillary Clinton.

    Get over it.

The real irony here is Bollinger, representative of leaders of the left high priesthood, fails to see the simple answer to all of his "provocative" rhetorical questions. Iran is run by Islamic fundamentalists, who are EVIL, and they don't give two bits about your high minded liberal agenda bullshit. They must be defeated by force of arms, because they do not permit the free exchange of ideas. Their culture is hostile and evil and deserves to be destroyed, and harsh words simply won't get the job done. You are addressing a man who routinely executes those who speak out against him, and expecting that your telling him how naughty he is will somehow positively affect his world view. There is no better demonstration of the absurdity of modern left wing ideology.
