"Cold-Blooded" Murtha Inquisitor- Jason Mattera- Fires Off On Hannity & Colmes

Remember the name-- JASON MATTERA!
This kid is sharp!... He was terrific on Hannity and Colmes!

Jason Mattera, of the Young America’s Foundation, went at it on Hannity and Colmes discussing the confrontation he had earlier this week with "Cold-Blooded" Jack Murtha before Murtha redeployed to the elevator.

Jason Mattera put democratic operatives Jane Fleming Kleeb and Alan Colmes in their place. Fleming Kleeb, as usual, was especially annoying during the segment. She excused Murtha for not apologizing to the innocent marines because a couple of the marines still face charges-- Yet, it was Murtha who condemned the marines as "cold blooded" killers before the trial even started!
Sick!

Best Line- Mattera to Colmes: "Why are you carrying water for this man? (Murtha)"
True!

It was predictable that Colmes would attack Gen. James Mattis (who insisted that the charges on a couple of the Haditha marines be dropped) personally, rather than deal with Murtha slandering the troops fighting in Iraq.
It puts that military-bashing MoveOn.org ad and the vote Thursday by 25 democrats to defend it into perspective.

  1. Who is she to preach about due process of the law, and then turn around and defend Murtha for slandering these Marines as guilty before proven innocent. What a hypocrite. God, I hate these ignorant Liberals!

You are not a part of the legal team.

    The new chickenhawk argument.

Heck watch here carefully through the tape and review it several times.

Her facial expression tells the story she doesn't believe what she is saying herself, and she is just earning her paycheck delivering the message she wants to put out.

  3. Good for Jason!

This needs to be followed, exploited, and forced to the end where Murtha is forced into a full response.

Until then Jason's attempted interview, plus replays of Murtha's original statements would make a great ad for some organization to air!

Seems to me that there are suspicious similarities between the Duke lacrosse railroad and the Murtha Marine railroad.

  5. While I applaud Jason Mattera for doing the leg work the MSM refuses to do and do hope he inspires more guerrilla journalism, this form of political 'debate' is harmful to us all. Nothing gets explained to the uninformed and it becomes a series of barbs which distort the truth or attempt to distort it.

We've got to reject sound-bite politics at the source of the sound bite...

  6. Well, let's be clear: Mattera actually had the facts on his side. He was trying to argue the facts. So was Hannity.

It was Colmes and Kleeb that were presenting nonfactual arguments - the quote from Mattis, and "you're not on the legal team" - to distract from and obscure the facts.

Game, set and match to Mattera.

What annoyed me the most during that exchange last night was that Mattera missed an absolutely golden opportunity to ram the legal process right down Fleming Kleebs' smug little pronouncements. Every time she or Alan yammered that the "legal process was still going on" the perfect response would have been "Right. So if the trial is still underway, and you're innocent until proven guilty, how does Murtha defend his blisteringly senile remarks that they committed cold blooded murder? Isn't he jumping the gun by stating that they're guilty before the trial has even begun? What should Murtha say to the Marines who've been cleared,'Oops, sorry?'"

It was a great line though, asking why they were holding the water for him.

You people are obviously retarded. You are taking the side of a cowardly chickenhawk (Mattera) over that of a respected veteran.
