2007 Muslim Day Parade in NYC- A Day For Khilafah

UPDATE: For those who do not believe that there were Islamo-Fascist groups represented in this year's parade, here is a parade advertisement by the radical Islamic Thinkers Society a group that was marching down Madison Avenue in New York City yesterday:

Notice the Islamic Flag flying above the White House!

Rocco DiPippo was at the Muslim Day Parade today in New York City.
Here are a few photos that he sent me from the annual parade:

Khilafah?
Was this really the appropriate T-shirt to wear if you want to portray a moderate image of Islam to the masses two days before the anniversary of 9-11?

The obligatory Islamo-Fascist/Marxist literature was on display.

Pamela Geller the fabulous Atlas Shrugs blogger (on left) was protesting the parade and has some great shots and video posted.

Americans Against Hate organized a rally against the parade that has historically been attended by very radical members of the Islamic community.

It looks like radical democratic Representative Keith Ellison was not the grand marshall of the parade after all, even though advertisements still claim that Ellison is the grand marshall.

Or, not?

The fine print reads: "Patriotism under fire."

Praying on Madison Avenue in New York City.

Rocco is going to post video and more photos from the parade at The Autonomist later tonight.

Urban Infidel has more photos from the parade.

UPDATE 2: Wouldn't you know it?
A Democrat was marching with the terror supporters.

I am an Irish American, I was at the Parade, I also have a Brother in the US Marines who has done 3 tours in Iraq. And I really am sadden by my fellow country men who show such intolorance. We should be celebrating our differences and getting to know one another - this is the key to our success in this country, not hatered as the protesters continue to spread.....And the marchers in the Parade were very friendly people who even said they supported the protesters in the right to freedom of speach and assembly. Hmmm, seems the Muslim community may understand the US Consitution more than the protestors.

The obligatory Islamo-Fascist/Marxist literature was on display. LIES LIES LIES...and More Lies!!!First of all, neither book was Islamic, nor obligatory! The books on the table included CHe, black eye peas for the soul, how to find a good black man, Up from Slavery.... AND were being sold by a Jamaican Man, my husband - this is foolishness!!!!

Anonymous Irish American, they are not your friends and have no desire to be. If you think they care about the US Constitution you're sadly mistaken. The Koran and sharia law is all they understand and respect. Do not be fooled. Like your brother I too have fought them in Iraq, and Afghanistan as well. Do NOT be fooled.

  5. Have you ever noticed, many in favor of the islamification of the US, like anonymous 'irish american' (IF he is that), often cannot spell? 'Borther' capitalized in the middle of a sentence? 'hatered'? 'Speach'?

Guess what, anony? They may well understand Enough of the Constitution to twist it to their ends- and Your end. But you won't appreciate that truth until your end.

Idiotic tool. They understand that they want to smash it, and replace it with Islamic Fascism. They want to cut your too-ra-loo-rah head off! Read their damn signs! They don't want to coexist, they want you to submit or die. They think your "differences" with the prophet should be settled by a sharp blade dragged slowly across your throat.

What's the use? useful idiots like yourself will truly be surprised when they come to butcher you. You'll all probably cry like babies and spout liberal platitudes while they bleed you out. At least my pre-ban mac-90 mags hold enough rounds to take a whole bunch of them with me.

Amazing!!! The people you show on these blogs belong to the Islamic Thinkers Soceity, who were not a part of the parade and were also protesting againt the parade organizers who themselves do not associate with the Islamic Thinkers, who if you saw were very few in #'s - but then again like you could tell the difference. You need to know who your real enemies are.......They're not the Muslims, many of whom were born in this country, marching the parade route.

  8. The Islamic Thinkers were not a part of the parade. But tell me why the black flag of Islamic jihad featured on my blog, photo taken by me was doing at the main line up of the parade.

Of course no all Muslims are terrorists, that's a no-brainer, but if you think that there are no radical and potentially dangerous elements mixed in with all this, you are fooling yourself.

  9. How come Christians don't have a parade, or white guys, or Causasians? Why are Muslims having a parade anyhow? Do they really have anything to be proud about, considering their extremist brothers are killing the world-round in the name of Islam. I wonder how the demonstrations of Muslims and their placards in Britain would go over in the States......I'd say the Americans would lock and load, or is that load and lock. It's too bad all Muslims are being painted with the same brush as the extremist nutjobs. Maybe if it was a Muslim Day Parade against terrorism, the Americans would have been more accommodating.

It was a Muslim Day Parade against extremist, this is why the Islamic Thinkers Society were not allowed to march in the parade and were also, gated behind police with the rest of the protestors.
I'm happy to see, that some among you, at least have sense enough to realize that just because someone may call themselves a Muslim doesn't mean that they practice Islam. Thereforem, there are many Muslims who are peaceful American citizens who wish the same for this country as do you.
By the way, I am the Irish American who has posted, married to the Jamaican who was selling the books and yes, we are both Muslim converts - can't wait to see the comments now.

Ha Ha, funny, who lives in fear? I am not the one who is living in fear. I am a US born, American citizen, college educated and a productive member of this society - who by the way also chooses, by her own free will, to wear the Hijab which I have worn for the past 12 years since converting to Islam.
So foolish comments like "go back to your country" don't apply to me, where am I to go, Cape Cod, MA? I am as apple pie as you can get.
A coward? Hmmmmm, think about that one for a moment. Would a coward choose to wear a scarf on her head in this society?

By submitting to a mysogynistic, Dark Ages, death cult, you have abdicated your membership in Western Civilization. You are no longer anything resembling "Irish-American." I grew up in NYC. Want to know how many REAL Irish Americans that I grew up with are lying in their graves because of your co-religionists? They would spit on you, and rightly so.

We will celebrate our differences after the next battle of Tours. Our warriors alive, yours dead and the sand turned to glass.

To the anonymous Muslimah to commented above: As a Muslim, you should know your role living under an authority that does not rule bu Qur'an and Sunnah. Your job is to work to establish as much Islam as possible whether in your community or everywhere in USA i.e. wherever you are. This mean the SHARIAH. Don't try to hide it and say that you aren't working for SHARIAH in America. By the way, I am a member of Islamic Thinkers and we did not want to participate with the parade because we don't agree with the parade organizers ideas to begin with. Even in the past, we never joined the parade. And we CHOSE to be gated because that's how you protest against the leaders of the parade to eat zakat money of the Muslim Community. And do be so naive to try to please these a**holes here in this blog. They all hate you wheter you are a modernist or a fully practicing Muslim. They view you through the same eyes. There is no need to hide anything. And who said we aren't peaceful? Go ask the NYPD. We never had any trouble with them. The problim with you is that you need to give benefit of a doubt to your fellow Muslims, and clarify with them directly before you take the words of others. So please don't bring the argument that you are 'peaceful' and we aren't. SO PLEASE DONT TRY TO SUGERCOAT ISLAM TO PLEASE THOSE WHO HATE ISLAM REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH YOU PRACTICE IT.

Hey, Irish-American Anon. Why don't you tell this guy your real name and address and then tell him you don't support the worldwide implementation of Sharia Law. Tell him you support the US Constitution. While you're at it, let him know that you support full equal rights for women and gays. Don't forget to denounce the murderous jihad, and to tell him that as an American, you know that Bin Laden is a murderer. Then we'll see who lives in fear.

From the Irish American Muslim woman, to the Islamic Thinker, Charles and others....Yes I support Full and Equal Rights of Women to work, to seek education, to own property, to inherit, to choose her own spouse - all rights guarenteed to her in Islam. I also Uphold and Support the US Consititution as written, however I feel the Constitution is threatened, not by Muslims but by the powers that be in this country. Research the Shariah - because I do feel it holds the solution to some of society's ills today. I do not denounce Jihad because I fight Jihad everyday (true Jihad) and whosoever committs the killing of an innocent human being, its as if he/she has killed All of humanity - this is the belief of a practicing Muslim.
When each of you speak about Jihad, Shariah and the Rights of Women in Islam, you need to truly research them for yourself. Even under a Shariah law, a non-Muslim is protected and given the right to practice his/her religion, culture and traditions. Just as Islam teaches us as Muslims, to follow the law of the land in which you live. We can teach others, in a non-Muslim country about Islam but we can not force them to become Muslim - there is no compulsion in religion. So, in my peaceful day to day life in the community, I am a perfect example of Islam.
Not all non-Muslims view all Muslims in the same light, true a few do, but the attitude in which the Islamic Thinkers approach the situation is not going to change people's attitude. The Prophet Muhammad taught us to stay upon the middle, to be fair and balanced. I am a Muslim, proud but do not need to shout it from the roof tops. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. I don't need to agree with you but I do need to know you........
As far as identifying myself, name and address that would just be pure stupidity however, I have made it very easy to identify who I am based on my posts. I only fear my creator.
    PEACE

You are full of it. Women have been opressed, brutalized, and treated as chattel in EVERY ISLAMIC COUNTRY! What countries have religious police? What countries stone women for adultery? What countries behead homosexuals? What countries execute rape victims for unchastity? YOUR MOHAMMEDAN COUNTRIES.

You can have Sharia or The US Constitution, you cannot have both. They are incompatible. We will never submit.

See, this is where educating yourself comes into play. Yes, there are women in "so called" Muslim countries that are abused and oppressed but do you mean to tell me this only happens there? Domestic violence is no more evident in a Muslim country than it is in America, South America or Japan for that matter. (Stats prove)
If the Muslims of these countries actually practiced Islam, abuse & oppression of women would not take place. What you don't seem to understand, is that the things you speak about have nothing to do with the religious teachings of Islam. FYI - men are subject to the same penaltiesas women in various offenses but the media/Gov doesn't want you to know this.
And, look how homosexuals are treated in the Caribbean? It is not just in Muslim land that they are not accepted. And I do believe there are many religions that are against homosexuality - not just Islam.

'Yes, there are women in "so called" Muslim countries that are abused and oppressed but do you mean to tell me this only happens there?"

As a matter of law, yes. Countries governed by Sharia law are the only places where this happens. Iran is whipping and hanging people in public for among other things owning a bible, having been raped, homosexuality, and drinking alcohol. You want that kind of freedom, you can have it....in the desert where it belongs. We will never submit, as you already have.

  21. Anonymous7:04 PM

Again, education! No where in the Sharia does it condone domestic violence - no where! As far as Iran, for the most part they are Shia, I am a Sunni, so I can not speak of thier laws but again, what you speak of is cultural and not Islamic. True & pure Islam is tolorant of other religions and liberated women. I'd rather submit to my creator than to man made laws.

"I'd rather submit to my creator than to man made laws."

The either go to a country ruled by Islam and wallow in submission, or declare open war against the USA in an attempt to bring about Sharia and put an end to the Constitution. Then we can hang the traitors, and pack up every last Muslim in the civilized world and send them either back to the desert or back to Allah. Which has stopped mattering to the patriots among us.

  23. Anonymous8:11 PM

    "I am a Sunni"

So your brethren are Al Qaeda. Want to impress me? Get a drivers license in Saudi (a Sunni country), then drive around with a man who is not your husband. I've been there, so don't tell me you would be free to do so, because I KNOW otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous8:09 AM

See, to you, who do not understand, these liberties you wish to uphold have lead to the destruction of the family. In Saudi women are driven, much of the time her personal driver is an unrelated male - so while she may not have a drivers license, she has many luxuries. There are whole shopping malls exclusively for women only, fitness centers and restaurants where women do not have to worry about cat calls and men disrespecting them. The advertisements do not include half naked women to sell just about everything, including tooth paste to new cars! A woman is allowed to be a woman and raise her children, for the most part with extended family and paid help - she does not half to go out of the home to earn a living and leave her children with a sitter. However, many of the colleges now in Saudi and the Middle East are full of Muslim women, seeking her God given right to an education. We have Muslim women doctors, lawyers, engineers and so forth.
Are Al Qaeda my Brothers, anyone who says La Illaha Il Lallah is a Muslim, therefore my Brother or Sister in Islam. I can not judge what isinthier hearts. While there are Muslims who do not practice Islam, there are Christians who do not practice Christianity because no religious teaching, teaches the hatred that the members of this list put forth. May God have Mercy of you....

It would certainly seem to me that, after the vicious and cowardly attacks on 9/11, Muslims in this country would want to go out of their way to show their support for the U.S.A., it is after all, the country which they've chosen to emigrate to and live in. Instead, they choose to have a parade two days before the anniversary of those attacks. My brother was murdered that day, and I take their parade as an insult to everything I stand for and believe in!
Not only will I not submit [to Islam], but I have your jihad right here! Come and get some!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous4:16 AM

    Your anger is misplaced!
The parade date was the first weekend before the start of Ramadan, which started 9/13 - this is the ONLY reason the parade was held on 9/9. Many people who participated in the parade also had family who died on 911, after all there were many Muslims who worked in the towers. As stated previously, many of also have family members fighting in Iraq and Afhganistan in the US Military. Instead of placing blame we should search for the truth instead of falling into the divide which is planned for this country. Divided we fall, together we stand. The Muslims in America do not wish for your destruction, rather we support this country 100%. It is only a small % among us who committ acts of violence, the same can be said of any group, race, culture, religion, etc. This does not mean theat we condone such acts, no - however, it is only through unity that any of us will survive. So, to your Jihad, in the true meaning of the word - it would be a Jihad for you to overcome your anger and establish working relationships and trust among a broad group of people but it can be done......
