OUCH!! John McCain Tells MoveOn to MOVE ON!! (Video)

American War Hero John McCain Slams MoveOn.org!
After the Far Left group alleged that General Petraeus was a traitor in the New York Times, the good senator and former POW lashed out at the democratic group in New Hampshire!
CBS News captured the exchange by McCain:
(51 seconds)

Shame on the democrats! Shame!
Do you suppose they'll call McCain a chickenhawk, too?

CBS News reported on this latest attack on the democratic attack machine, MoveOn:

Arizona Senator John McCain has taken criticism of anti-war group MoveOn.org to a whole new level: He is suggesting that the organization “ought to be thrown out of this country.”

The liberal advocacy group angered Republicans earlier this week with a full-page ad in the New York Times criticizing Gen. David Petraeus as he prepared to testify before Congress. The ad, which asserted that Petraeus was “cooking the books” on the situation in Iraq carried the headline, “General Petraeus or General Betray Us?”

...Speaking at an event in Hudson, New Hampshire last night, CBS News’ Dante Higgins reports he once again displayed the ad and said: “It’s disgraceful, it’s got to be retracted and condemned by the Democrats, and MoveOn.org ought to be thrown out of this country.
Or, at least the democrats could push this Far Left bunch to the sidelines.
But, don't expect that to happen.

The loony Left is already circling their wagons around MoveOn.

  2. Ya know, I really want to believe that McCain has had a patriotic epiphany, but his anti-American b.s. has worn me out. He bad-mouthed tax cuts. He formed the "gang of fourteen." He considered becoming john kerry's running mate. He got in bed with ted "the swimmer" kennedy to scam amnesty, and is still working to slide it under the radar. McCain is a hypocritical panderer, and will say ANYTHING to keep his job. I consider his allegiance to America and his overall credibility to be on a par with the fool known as Baghdad Bob. You remember him. He was the idiot claiming saddam's victory while American TANKS rolled down the highway behind him!

  4. Naaaw Bear... I didn't sense that in your first post.

Lying Politican ? Sure. Aren't they all? Lucky he wasn't convicted in the Keating Five scandal ? No doubt. Would I vote for him as President? Never gonna happen. A RHINO ? Sure but I'm conservative and not a Republican so that's an issue for others to be troubled by. I don't even consider him as a viable candidate. But anti-American ? Can't buy that. I think being tortured and interrogated for 5 1/2 years and bearing the scars all his life counts for something and it is not the label Anti-American. Baghdad Bob never had to deal with that. He fled his country and I would suppose that given the decsion whether to say idiotic things as opposed to being executed is a great motivator to say idiotic things. Think he's selling used cars in Egypt.

But when it comes to duty to country in war the likes of Clinton and Obama cannot compare to McCain's and are, in fact, non-existent.

It would be nice if the GOP would recognize this for the golden opportunity it presents.

I'm enjoying their berating MoveOn, but they should take it farther and drum home the message that the Dems have done everything they could to make the war harder, longer and deadlier. By undermining the mission at every turn and by encouraging the enemy to fight harder. They and their cohorts in the media have done everything they could to ensure defeat.

Worse, they constantly whisper in Americans' ears that terrorism is overblown (a bumper sticker). They obstruct serious attempts to track, capture and even hold enemy combatants. Their hacks in the bureaucracy leak vital classified information, undermining serious programs, simply because they disagree with the president.

For 4 years the Dems have done all this while making Iraq "Bush's War". Now Republicans have an opportunity to turn the tables on them and declare "This war would have been over years ago if the Dems had not undermined the mission at every turn". Make this the Dems' war...and then win it despite the obstacles they've thrown up!

  6. WAAAAAAAAH!

Someone dared say something unpleasant about Petraeus.

    WAAAAAAAAH!

    WAAAAAAAAH!

    WAAAAAAAAH!

But... let a Republican smear a dead Iraq veteran as being too stupid to have written a New York Times editorial, and what is the reaction from the wingnutosphere?

    Utter silence.

    It is to laugh...

Noting the use of atypical vocabulary is not the same thing as calling a person stupid. It is merely legitimate recognition of linguistic habits.

    The Marine And The Professor
    September 11th, 2007

    By: Poole Score

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “up to and including my life.”

    ———————

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was a vowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.”

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God. I’m still waiting.” It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, “What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”

The Marine calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid crap and act like an asshole. So, He sent me.”

  9. There is no doubt that MoveOn is another anti-American outfit parading around this country. However, I disagree with Sen McCain and encourage them to keep up their attacks and to definitely stay in this country. Without them the sheer hatred and venom that the Leftists believe in will be able to be swept under the rug until they are elected. And then it is too late.

I read bear's account and saw he thinks McCain anti-American. Just because he didnt want tax cuts or formed the gang of fourteen and buddies up to the Massachussetts twins doesnt make him anti anything. He's just wrong. I agree, I would only vote for the good Senator if he was the nominee and not from love, but because any Dem nominated believes what MoveOn is saying.
