Uh-Oh... Dems Open Up Pandora's Box of Antiwar Ugly

Democrats open up Pandora's Box of Antiwar Ugly.

Did Democrats really want the public to look back at all of the ugly antiwar attacks from the past four years... by Democrats?
What were they thinking?.
Here's the Democratic antiwar montage, via Hannity & Colmes:

Sean Hannity asks...
"If democrats think that Rush's words are unpatriotic, are these comments unpatriotic, Harry Reid?"
That sounds like a fair question.
But, don't expect the mainstream media to ask it.

Oh... And, don't forget the "dumb and lazy" comments that elicited this response...

...from the troops in Iraq.

The Democrats aren't fooling anyone. All they're doing is stoking up their base because we all know what they think of the military in a time of war. Oh, they like the military in peace time, but not with a Republican Commander in Chief during a war.

I'm a military wife. I took off 2 days from work to follow and analyze the Petraeus report for myself (not for my blog, but for myself). The most painful parts were watching these Democrats talk down to a 4 Star General and a man of incredible integrity. The same is true of Ryan Crocker. Everytime Hillary or Obama or fill-in-the-blank Democrat opened his/her mouth and said, "Now General, I deeply admire you and thank you for your service", I said out loud to the screen, "Don't patronize me!" There is simply no fooling the military and their families when it comes to the respect issue with Democrats.

Even worse is that we stand behind Rush's comments. My husband and I do. I heard the dialogue live; it was addressing fake soldiers; literally, ones who lied about or misrepresented their service and or experience. THAT's who Rush was talking about... Jesse MacBeth (I knew after he first gave his ridiculous account he was bogus), Jimmy Massey and the rest of the PHONY SOLDIERS.

Do Democrats really not know that soldiers can't recognize a fake soldier when we see one? The Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot with this and I hope we have another 2004 election in 2008 and when push comes to shove America is forced to recognize that we cannot risk a Democrat as C-in-C.

But Jim, don't you see? The Demoncrats have a completely different definition of "patriotic" than you or I have. In order to understand that, you must acquire a mental illness so you can see the same "reality" that they see.

btw: Rush's "Phony Soldiers" commentary stemmed from a previously aired ABC News report about Phony War Hero's..

after which Media Matters & the Dems kicked in with their "PHONY CLIAMS" against Rush.. yet once again proving they not only haven't an ounce of integrity, as it's quite obvious they did not research the real story before they launched their frenzied attack, but how truly desperate they are..

It all makes me long for Air Guitars and Milli Vinilli; back when phony was phunny!

Now we have Democratic Senators who basically lip-synch to MoveOn.org without giving them any cred for it, and spend their time faking being a governing body. Air Government.

OUCH!... Well said though and I agree with it totally...:-)

Well its interesting that bg notes that there were those before that ran stories on phony soldiers but unlike Rush the Dems need these platforms in the future to continue their disinformation campaign...

What's even funnier is that the Demns are still acting like the basis of their whinings can't be checked out...

I mean after all one of their own invented the internet or so he claimed...LOL!

You mean Tom Harkin who "faked" the part of his military service that included combat flights into Viet Nam...THAT Tom Harkin?

The guy who can't keep his own record straight is going to unload on Rush Limbaugh? R-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght. Whatrtheysmokin in Congress these days?

Conservatives critize NYT and MoveOn.Org for the Petraeus Betray-Us ad. No conservative sought to shut down either....

Liberals demand Rush be shut-down based on a distortion of a quote.
Harry Reid should get a prostitute's wage.

Tom Harkin--yes he did for years falsely claim to've flown combat in Vietnam (he was a ferry pilot, I think), and he's also the same guy who in the 80s, along with John Kerry, went to visit the Sandinistas and came back lying to America about Daniel Ortega not being a USSR client, in order to defund the anti-communist forces in central America.

This was during the height of the cold war, right after the USSR had invaded Afghanistan and was seen by the world to be on the march to the Persian Gulf.

Many of us who find Tom Harkin nauseating begin there, in Central America, in a time when Harkin seriously hurt an America that could little afford it.

Remember, after the Harkin/Kerry iniative had betrayed the Contras, the Reagan admin tried to find another way to help them fight USSR infiltration.

This led directly to the "scandal" with which the Harkin/Kerry faction--which had set up the situation to begin with--then went full-bore to wreck the Reagan administration.

Ask Ollie North--and, Never Forget!

Joan of Argh: Somebody needs to photoshop Dingy Harry's face onto a air guitarist in mid-leap with an "Air Government Contest" banner behind him.

Great mental image.

HT : Valerie @ ITM

Pat Dollard

[By calling Rush Limbaugh’s statements “unpatriotic” Harry Reid has now legitimized the same charge being levelled against the left for their usual anti-victory talking points and legislative actions. I watched Alan Colmes humorously trying to stamp out any debate about “each other’s patriotism” on H&C tonight. Let’s be real. He didn’t do that because he’s high minded. He did that because he understands that this is a losing battle for the Left and he’s trying to force the genie back into the bottle. I encourage everyone to openly and directly challenge Harry Reid and company’s patriotism ad inifinitum, on tv, print and talk radio, from now until the end of time. And not just as a matter of strategy but because it is true, and the exposure of the left’s longstanding treason needs to become a mainstream event. The concept of their treason needs to be seared into the public consciousness.

Reid himself knew he was vulnerable to this charge, and he tried to insert an advance defense into both his statement on tv, and the letter to Rush’s boss: “Although Americans of goodwill debate the merits of this war,”. He goes out of his way to describe the Dems’ anti-war motives as stemming from “goodwill” because he knows how vulnerable to the charge of treason the entirety of their anti-victory words and actions are.

I’ll be disappointed if the radio hosts, talking heads, and columnists let this moment go. The Dems have decided to change the ground rules of the war discourse themselves, and have left us an opening as big as the Pacific Ocean. Rush got it, and hit on the point. Now everyone else needs to rush in, and back Rush up, not so much in general, BUT ON THIS SPECIFIC POINT. It is from this point that the most can be gained in the public debate about who is best to lead this country and why. This simple point about the Left’s betrayal of its country ( with a focus on its troops ) needs to be expanded on and hammered home relentlessly by everyone who can. From pundit to politician. Now is the premiere moment to strike.]
