The NAACP was outraged and demanded that the culprit be prosecuted.
But, they after a black firefighter admitted to planting the noose, the NAACP blamed "society."

Black fireman in Baltimore admitted to planting a noose and a note at a firehouse he works at.
Baltimore Sun reported:
A firefighter who reported finding a knotted rope and a threatening note with a drawing of a noose in an East Baltimore station house last month had placed the items there himself, city officials said yesterday.
The man was suspended last week for performance-related issues and will likely face additional punishment, fire officials said. Sterling Clifford, a spokesman for the Police Department and for Mayor Sheila Dixon, said the man admitted to the hoax and will not face criminal charges.
Officials identified the firefighter who they say acknowledged writing the note as Donald Maynard, a firefighter-paramedic apprentice who is black. Maynard could not be reached for comment.
On Nov. 21, a handwritten note and a rope were discovered about 1:30 a.m. by two Fire Department employees - one black and one white. "We cant [sic] hang the cheaters but we can hang the failures. NO EMT-I, NO JOB." A small stick figure with a noose and the word "Stop" were drawn below the message. (FOX News)

Actually, the NAACP's Baltimore prez, Sez "Doc" Cheatham, has indeed given a statement, straight out of the Franklin Foer playbook:
"It really saddens us to hear that evidently things have reached a stage that even an African-American does an injustice to himself and his own people as a result of a negative culture in that department."

Apparently, self-destructive behavior committed with the intent to do grievous harm to the "The Man" is sufficient to establish victim-hood. The naaLcp (national association for the advancement of LIBERAL colored people) has, again, identified itself with slander, race-baiting, anti-Americanism, fraud and incitement to violence. No surprise, just another DISGUSTING display of racism by the lefties.
Well golly gee! I got to wonder how Doc Cheatham would try to spin this bit of self-inflicted horror?
I think people today have become so estranged from the rope arts that a bowline or even a windsor would cause panic.
The punishment for a hoax should be the same as the punishment that the perpetrator of the actual crime (had it been an actual crime) would have got. That means he gets fired, every white man in the department should be able to sue the department, the department has to undergo "reverse diversity" training (this is where they get taught how playing the victim all the time is bad for them, and how, in all actuality, white people are pretty great), David Duke (perhaps the white eq. of Jesse Jackson) should fly there and demand that every black man in a 100 mile radius apologize, kiss his butt and donate to his favorite charity (himself).
What's really scary is the people who will now say "even though the evidence is false the narrative is true", I guess Ann was right.

White folks hang just as easily as black folks, and there have been many white folks hanging from ropes over the ages. Why isn't it a hate crime for a black person to plant a noose?
In the view of the NAACP and its supporters, it is impossible by definition for a black person to do an injustice to a non-black person. Beyond a doubt, we are talking about stone cold racists, rats knawing away at the idea of civilization.
