And there's this... The number of Iraqis killed last month fell to 718.
Monthly numbers look even better from Iraq Coalition Casualty Count.
The Multi-National Force-Iraq contines to rack up some amazing results since the Bush Surge began taking shape including::
** Violence in Iraq is down by 50%.(Figures were taken from Aljazeera, DefenseLink, Investor's Business Daily, The New York Times and Aswat Aliraq)
** Civilian casualties in Iraq are down by 60%.
** Baghdad casualties are down by 75%.
** Basra violence is down by 90%.
** Terrorist attacks in Iraq are down by 80%.
** IED attacks down by 55%.
** Average daily attacks down by 42%.
** Foreign insurgent flow into Iraq down by more than 50%
** Suicide bombings down 70% since March.
** Foreign Terrorist flow into Iraq down by 50%.
** Diala Province violence down by 68%.

It's really no wonder thn that Democrats are squirming to change the topic.

Oh no, fatalities are down. What can this mean? It can't be good news, no, no, no, ....that can't be possible. Iraq is all doom and gloom, no way out, run for your lives.....ahhhhhh!!!!
But, but - it's a quagmire!!!
(the question is - will the Copperhead Dems now be for the war after they were against it? Hah-hah. Especially Bill Clinton - he was for it then against it now will he be for it again this week?)

With the traitor murtha's admission that "the surge is working," this latest GOOD NEWS FROM IRAQ must be mentally challenging for the lefties' denial mill.
As in all disasters, we should alert the moonbat grief counselors for a full-scale suicide watch on the liberals. These must be desparate times for the idiots pelosi and reid.
So let's see. The Democrats will now be for the war before they were against it before they were for it.
It just boggles my poor teeny mind.
So the civilian casuality rate is getting down to where most American cities are, and it's about 3 times the overall murder rate in the US. It seems that it won't have to fall all that much more for the component attributable to insurgent violence to become marginal. Let's hope so. Let's bring our guys home--victorious.
