Another Endorsement For Obama... From the Iranian Regime
Barack Obama scores another major endorsement...
The Iranian Regime is excited that Senator Barack Obama would put an end to the US "occupation" of Iraq.
Iranian Fars News reported:
TEHRAN (FNA)- US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said he would favor holding direct talks with Iran and Syria in a bid to stabilize the Middle East if elected president. The mullahs got a crush on Obama.
In an interview with France's Paris Match on Thursday, Obama said, "I want to have direct talks with countries like Iran and Syria because I don't believe we can stabilize the region unless not just our friends but also our enemies are involved in these discussions."
He was also quoted as saying he would also hold a summit with leaders of Muslim states to address the growing gap between the West and the world of Islam.
The Illinois senator added that to repair the image of the United States in the world, he would "put an end to the war in Iraq."
"Occupying the country has put the odds against us with the world," Obama said.

I oppose any candidate who thinks the US image needs repair. We've worked hard to get this image, dang it!
Besides, nothing the US does will 'repair' the fact that people in the countries that hate us are taught to hate the US from birth. Whatever we do, they'll still hate us. Of course, kissing their nether regions and showering billions of dollars on them may make them smile, which could be mistaken for liking us, in a co-dependent, beaten-wife-syndrome sort of way.
Regardless of what people think the prison thing didn't help at all.

Gateway:
What's the big deal about Iran supporting Obama? Plenty of conservatives have said they'll vote for Obama or Hillary over McCain. Thus plenty of conservatives are on the same side as Iran.
These conservatives clearly don't care about Iraq or the War on Terror, despite all their shouting to the contrary.
Al Qaeda and Iran are hoping that Hillary or Obama win, because both have said they'll end the war, i.e. surrender, immediately.
These conservatives are therefore encouraging al Qaeda and Iran to hold out and fight on. Ann Coulter is now prolonging the war and costing more Amerian lives.
What's the difference between these conservatives and Code Pink? Both put politics ahead of national security; both are willing to do great damage to the military in the name of ideology; and both are acting out of pure emotion instead of rationality.
Both groups make me sick.

[What's the difference between these conservatives and Code Pink?]
well, for starters we're not going to Iran and protesting against the TROOPS.. we're not destroying recruitment centers, we're not blocking their entrances.. i could go on..
however, that's quite a pretzel of an analogy you posted, but i'm up way too late to try and untwist, maybe i'll dip into it tomorrow..
and yes i know i'm not Gateway,
but it's still a free country..

Politically active, black Democrats are having problems untangling their preferences, too. They've been having a raging controversy over the talk radio in Maryland.
Pr. George's Executive endorses Clinton
To his credit, Jack Johnson (D) makes his point gracefully. But he and others smell the same rat that we do. This guy comes out of nowhere, obviously selected and supported by somebody that is determined to throw their reliable friends, Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton, out of the party.
The claims that the real objection to Obama is that white voters won't support him is a big, fat, red herring. He has a color problem, all right, but it is not that he is black. It's because he's green. It isn't white voters that object to him, it is the experienced ones, the ones who remember how we got Jimmy Carter, and what happened then.

I wonder if Oblablah agrees with the recent anti-terrorism pronouncement by imams who also note that all terrorism worldwide is America's fault. It seems that his solution to every problem is along those lines: disengage, or exit, or fix the US.
Someone should put this question at Oblahblah's next press conference: "Mr. Junior Senator, sir, I note that you told the truth recently about (x, y, or z). Was that deliberate?"
;)
Are there any traditionalist Nipponese in the house? If Oblahblah loses the nomination, to avoid future similar problems we're going to need one to go to him with a short sword and a towel to urge him to do the honourable thing.
:P
Let's see.... So far, Iran has endorsed Obama, Hamas has endorsed Obama and the FARC terrorists in Colombia can't wait for him to get in there and trash our ally Colombia.
How long will it be before Al Queda endorses B. Hussein Obama?
P.S. Tom W. your comment was a joke wasn't it?
