January 2008 was chilly.
The month of January was globally the second coldest January in 15 years- via Instapundit.
Watts up with that reported:
There has been a global drop in temperature of 0.63 degrees Centigrade in the past 12 months.Previously:
Of course we already have had a heads up from all the wire reports around the world talking about the significant winter weather events that have occurred worldwide in the last month, but until now, there hasn’t been a measure of how the planet was doing for the winter of 2007/2008.
Remote Sensing Systems of Santa Rosa just posted the latest MSU (Microwave Sounder Unit) data.
January posted a -.08°C near global anomaly between -70S and 82.5N latitude (the viewshed of the satellite sounder). That makes it the coldest month since January 2000, and the 2nd coldest January for the planet in 15 years. Both northern and southern hemispheres posted negative anomalies of -.120°C and -.038°C respectively, happening for the first time since January 2000.

Even the eco-fascists have changed their religious mantra. Last year it was Global Warming. But enough honest scientists penetrated their alleged 'consciousness' with questions challenging GW that they fixed on a more nifty slogan: Climate Change. They can continue their campaign to hijack the world's economies and seize control, no matter which way the temperature goes.
Climate change - they're against it. That makes them reactionaries, right? How are they going to square that with the 'change' mantra of the Obama and Hillary campaigns?
"You can change the gummint, you can change your underwear and your body piercings and your brand of tofu, you can change your partner and your sex, but Lord, don't you go changing no climate patterns!"
THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING:
2008 COLDER THAN 20TH CENTURY AVERAGE
WUWT:
NOAA/NCDC: Jan08 Colder than 20th century average
Let us give NOAA credit for making this release:
“The average temperature in January 2008 was 30.5 F. This was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 49th coolest January in 114 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit per decade.”

This is a sign that everyone should start caring for the world we live in.
