Mitt Romney, Matt Blunt, Rick Santorum, & Jim Talent Rock Missouri
Young Missouri Governor Matt Blunt joined Governor Mitt Romney, Former Senator Rick Santorum, Former Senator Jim Talent, Missouri Speaker of the House Rod Jetton and several Missouri Republican Representatives at a Romney in St. Louis this afternoon.
Here are a few photos from the event:
Governor Mitt Romney was a big hit in St. Louis this afternoon at his Super Bowl Party at Dave and Busters.
Hundreds of St. Louisans came out to see Mitt in a final Missouri swing before Super Tuesday.
"Pitch me one Mitt!" ...It was a fired up crowd!
Missouri Governor Matt Blunt introduced Governor Romney today in St. Louis.
Rick Santorum gave an exceptional endorsement of Governor Romney before the two governors came arrived. I also had a few minutes to talk with Rick and he said he was very concerned about the direction the Republican Party may take if Senator McCain is nominated as the Republican presidential candidate.
Here is a brief clip with Rick Santorum on how to beat the democrats in November:
The room was extremely dark but the Rick's message was right on.
Respected conservative Jim Talent is a huge addition to the Romney team. Talent lost a very close election to liberal Claire McCaskill who is out campaigning with the most liberal senator.
Jim Talent was having a great time.
Governor Romney gained 9 points on Senator McCain in Missouri in the last week as Republicans start to realize that the race is coming down to either Romney of McCain.

Come on, Mitt, come on! You're such a better candidate than John McCain!!
MR ROMNEY YOU ARE A CLASS ACT AND I THINK YOU WILL DO OUR COUNTRY PROUD. PLEAS HANG IN THERE, SIR. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP.
Question: If Mitt was always so great, why didn't all these people come out of the woodwork for him before?
As a conservative, I must say I have a hard time with his abortion flip flopping and his surge flip flopping.
Will he have the testicles to stand up to the Democrats on judges and the war? I don't think so.
Voting for someone who doesn't mean what he says on these issues - in a time of war and elderly SCOTUS judges does NOT seem like the "conservative" thing to do, to me.
He's "such a better candidate" but I doubt he can beat either Dem.
This is what happens when people spend too many years investing into a "dittohead" mentality. Real thinking stops and they just do as they're told.
Mitt is no conservative.
And as far as "class acts" go, I think the people on the right who have spent the last two years throwing away George Bush and are now trashing McCain's war record and public service are much lacking in class. I'm disgusted with the far right, as I never thought I could be.
Patm ... you have no clue about the so-called "dittohead mentality".
The reason Rush Limbaugh gained the following he does is not because he is some kind of Pied Piper ... it is because he reinforces what millions of Americans ARE ALREADY THINKING before he says it!.
And he has admitted to such, for a long, long time.
McCain has already shown an abject lack of testicular fortitude, when it comes to judges (remember the "Gang of 14"?).
He has shown that lack of fortitude regarding the border, tax reductions, and global warming ... for he has taken the Dems' side on all these positions.
And God love him, but his POW experience can't let him see the forest for the trees regarding Gitmo and coercive interrogations.
It is YOU who are doing what you are told ... by the "conservative" wing of the Best and Brightest, who just like the Dems believe that they can solve problems FOR us ...
... as opposed to acknowledging, as this Governor has, that Change Begins WITH US.
"As a conservative, I must say I have a hard time with his abortion flip flopping and his surge flip flopping."
Abortion is the #10th rated issue important to Conservative and that is 36% of the conservative base. There way more important issues that are important to conservatives like the War on Terror which Romney is extremely solid on.
The surge flipflop you're claiming is a LIE. McCain claimed Romney flipfloped on the surge when he actually lied to the American people in the last debate. Anderson Cooper had to correct McCain with the actual quote Rpmney said.
Do you know who really supported "benchmarks" / timetables in Iraq? John McCain.
"I think everybody knows the consequences. Haven't met the benchmarks? Obviously, then, we're not able to complete the mission. Then you have to examine your options."
The only difference is that Romney is oppose to public withdrawal on a certain date and McCain isn't.
