The "True Conservative" Is Surprisingly Liberal
Well, John McCain insists he's a "true conservative"...
Although the evidence is shaky.
Via Powerline, A group called Citizens United Political Victory Fund produced this ad, which is simple but effective:
It is insulting for John McCain to claim he is guided by "strong conservative principles" when a look at his record proves that is obviously not true.
Be proud of your moderate record Senator McCain--
But don't expect for the rest of us to believe that you are a "true conservative!"
Doug Ross has the stats.
Atlas has the Vlog.
MORE: Mark Levin-- John McCain is no Ronald Reagan-Not even close.

Universal Health Care. Raising taxes (fees). Gay marriage.
Yes, the "true conservative" is suprisingly liberal.
And those who support him while attacking McCain are amazingly hypocritical.
Someone should write a law against this type of irresponsible free-speech.
That's right, John McCain already has. Whew!
OT - bg, in a previous comment (Mullahs on dope) you used the acronym RTWT. I had an extra dose of stupid pills, and couldn't figure it out. Help?
I read this joke on Patterico's Pontification's. It's pretty good.

There’s an old lawyer joke that goes something like this:
Q. What’s the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?
A. One’s a scum-sucking bottom-feeder . . . and the other one’s a fish.
I have a related joke for you.
Q. What’s the difference between Hillary Clinton and John McCain?
A. One has a grating, disagreeable personality; has a history of financial scandal; has spoken of setting benchmarks for withdrawal from Iraq; has said the Bush tax cuts benefitted the wealthy at the expense of the middle class; has derided Sam Alito as too openly conservative; has supported amnesty for illegal immigrants (and then lied about it); has said that we shouldn’t drill in ANWR because it’s “pristine”; has misrepresented the positions of Republican candidates; wants to close Guantanamo; has spoken of sending “greedy people on Wall Street” to jail for their roles in giving subprime loans; has been endorsed by the New York Times; supports blatantly unconstitutional limits on free speech; and is hated by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, and Michelle Malkin . . .
. . . and the other one’s a Democrat.
The irony in this is just too rich.
McCains Undone?
Watching John McCain talk about being a true conservative with a straight face is distrubing because it's a lie. It's as uncomfortable as watching him try to slam Romney on the "you wanted a timetable for withdrawal in Iraq like the Democrats", which is also a lie that he inists on sticking to.
He's making himself as morally bankrupt as Hillary Clinton and all the Billary lies when he continues to insist on these unsubstantiated claims. I believe it will result in his demise. Republicans and moderates hate it in Billary and they should hate it in McCain.
I respected him much more before the last 3 debates.

John McCain is a typical two bit egocentric hack politician. He lies as demonstrated by his last video,
and his denial that his amnesty plan was an amnesty plan. He plays to the crowd and media, he mentions
his military service as much as John Kerry mentioned his purple hearts. He is a bitter old grouch who if he doesn't get his way has a fit just like a spoiled brat. He gets a pass for his Viet Nam experience which has absolutely nothing to do with what is transpiring today.
I tire of hearing about his POW status. I had a family member who was killed in WW2. A 19 year boy who went off to serve his nation. He was killed in action and never came home. Never had the chance to go to college, get married
have a family, see a son play ball or a daughters go to the prom. Run for public office or any of the things John McCain did get to experience. I do not trivialize McCain's service but in reality who gave the most for their country.
Romney is obviously the only person qualified to be President at this time as far as these canidates go.
McCain, Clinton, Obama are all too issue based and make to many promises.
Go ahead vote one of the three amigos in, I am not voting for McCain and I will vote for Romney if I have to write his name on the ticket or type it in or whatever.
