The time is now--
It looks like Al Gore has already saved the planet from warming as evidenced by the record snow and low temperatures this past year and scientific data proving the planet is cooling.
Halleluiah.
But, is Al up for an even bigger task?
Can Al Gore save the Democratic Party, too?
There are some Democrats who believe that only Al can rescue the Democrats from the hell that awaits them.
The Telegraph reported:
Plans for Al Gore to take the Democratic presidential nomination as the saviour of a bitterly divided party are being actively discussed by senior figures and aides to the former vice-president.Gore '08-- Spread the word!... Halleluiah.
The bloody civil war between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama has left many Democrats convinced that neither can deliver a knockout blow to the other and that both have been so damaged that they risk losing November's election to the Republican nominee, John McCain.
Former Gore aides now believe he could emerge as a compromise candidate acceptable to both camps at the party's convention in Denver during the last week of August.
Two former Gore campaign officials have told The Sunday Telegraph that a scenario first mapped out by members of Mr Gore's inner circle last May now has a sporting chance of coming true.
Mr Gore, who was Bill Clinton's vice-president and has since won a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his work on green issues, remains an influential figure eight years after he beat George W Bush in the popular vote but lost the White House after the Florida recount fiasco.
The opening has emerged because opinion polls show Mr McCain stretching his lead over both Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton, whose campaigns are engaged in a daily cycle of attacks, character assassination and mutual recriminations on religion, race and the economy.

Lovely, so now the Democrat Party wants the 'evil-rich-oppressor' Al Gore to steal the election from both the sexist camp and the racist camp in the Democrat Party.
You will excuse this metaphor...but AlGore "taking" the nomination away from Hillary or Obama is going to go over like "passing wind in Church" so to speak. Besides he never campaigned, debated anybody, or was at all subject to anyone's scrutiny as to ethics or campaign finance. The Clintons already hate him and visa versa. To Obama and his crowd he'll be just another "typical white guy". Geez! This thing gets more bizarre as it goes on and on.
Cornhusker is right, IMHO. The animosities among the libs are becoming even more hostile as "Operation Chaos" gains momentum.
"Bear" Company has encountered mixed resistance, with most dems shooting prisoners from opposing factions within their own units. A sudden shift in their "leadership" will further unhinge both major factions, and will fuel their counter-insurgents in the anarchist and gay ranks.

Well one can only hope for someone like a dim-witted Dean or slap happy Schumer makes this sort of suggestion in what passes for the smoke filled backrooms for the party of the Seditious & Sleazy and 1968 happens all over again...

It's good to see the Liberals eating each other alive. I bet Gore does believe he is the one to save the party. They all seem to have a God complex. Obama, Clinton, and Gore.
Hillary Clinton even had to remind us that she is human (after her compulsive lying was fact checked), they all seem to think the masses worship them.
I hope the American people can stop letting these people have political power and stop voting on star value.
