Busted!... Democratic Point Man on Colombia Caught Dealing With FARC
Not only were the FARC terrorists of Colombia hoping that Barack Obama would win the presidential election but the terrorists were also communicating with US Democrats on the sly.
The Democrat's point man on Colombia and free trade opponent has been secretly communicating with the FARC terrorists of southern Colombia. This was disclosed in documents found on the computer of dead FARC leader Raul Reyes who was killed during a raid earlier this month.
The Wall Street Journal reported today:
The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.) (pictured), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.Congressman McGovern sent a letter to the FARC Terrorists thanking them for their efforts earlier in the year even though FARC is listed as a terrorist organization by the US government.Mr. McGovern's press office says the Congressman is merely working at the behest of families whose relatives are held as FARC kidnap hostages. However, his go-between's letters reveal more than routine intervention. The intervenor with the FARC is James C. Jones, who the Congressman's office says is a "development expert and a former consultant to the United Nations." Accounts of Mr. Jones's exchanges with the FARC appeared in Colombia's Semana magazine on March 15. This Mr. Jones should not be confused with the former Congressman and ambassador to Mexico of the same name from Oklahoma.
"Receive my warm greetings, as always, from Washington," Mr. Jones began in a letter to the rebels last fall. "The big news is that I spoke for several hours with the Democratic Congressman James McGovern. In the meeting we had the opportunity to exchange some ideas that will be, I believe, of interest to the FARC-EP [popular army]."
Mr. Jones added that "a fundamental problem is that the FARC does not have, strategically, a spokesman that can communicate directly with persons of influence in my country like Mr. McGovern." Semana reports that in the documents Mr. Jones "rules himself out as the spokesman but offers himself as a 'bridge' of communication between the FARC and the congressman." Semana says when it spoke with Mr. Jones, he verified the letter and explained that "he made the offer because the guerrillas need interlocutors if they want to achieve peace and that it is a mistake to isolate them."
But communications among FARC rebels suggest the goal was to isolate Colombia's government. A letter that Reyes wrote to top FARC commander Manuel Marulanda on October 26 reads: "According to [Jones's] viewpoint, [President Álvaro] Uribe is increasingly discredited in the U.S. . . He believes that the safe haven [for the rebels] in the counties can be had for reasons mentioned. Congressional Democrats have invited him to Washington to talk about the Colombian crisis in which the principal theme is the swap."
The documents in Semana magazine discussed further links between US Democrats and the FARC terrorists:
Another discusses an apparent effort by U.S. Democrats to have celebrated novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez mediate talks with the insurgents — possibly with former President Clinton's involvement.The captured FARC documents also named Democrat Barack Obama.
There is no evidence the FARC ever obtained surface-to-air missiles, however. Attempts to reach Clinton and Garcia Marquez were unsuccessful.
The FARC Terrorists were hoping and expecting that Barack Obama would win the US elections in November because he was most aligned with the Colombian Marxist group.
This didn't make many headlines here in the US for some odd reason.

As to the subject at hand...
My daddy told me if it walks like a Duck, swims like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, has feathers like a Duck it IS a Duck. And in this case the Democratic party Duck is allied with most of the major anti American terrorist organizations. They are the enemy within, they are traitors.
All one has to do is look at the actions of the Democrats in the past year to know they are allied with and actively assisting a variety of terrorist organizations. They have met with FARC, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah and representitives of Al Qaida etc..
They do their best to obstruct our law enforcement and intelligence agencies so that these "creatures" can operate both here and abroad more easily.
They use their allies in the "anti war movement" to try to bring down the morale of both our servicemen and women and force us to surrender to their Islamofascist allies. They also fund these organizations by laundering that money through their allies in the "anti war movement" such as Code Pinko.
They think they are being clever and they also think that their propaganda wing aka the MSM will keep their actions from being known by the American public. You know, Barak Obama thought he could do that too with his whackjob racist pastor and all his other baggage. That isn't working out so great for him, is it?
Unfortunately a lot of good, hard working, decent Americans will have probably died in one of their allies attacks in order to bring about the day of reckoning for them. And when that day comes these traitors better hope their terrorist and dictator allies are willing to defend them to the death. I doubt that they will because all the Democrats are to them are useful idiots and they will throw them to the wolves. They better remember that in this case a traitors death will not a pleasant thing.
If we had a real President the indictments would have started a long time ago.

To gain power by underming their opponents without regard to the consequences for the country, because gaining power is more important that our security. They are blinded to the danger by their ambition. They don't care if the ship goes down as a result of their behavior, as long as they are the ones in charge when it does go down.

He may have been many things, some good and some bad, but he was no fool.
Why is it that Democrats would want to go to foreign countries and validate terrorists groups by sitting down at the table and talking with them? Are these countries looking for peace talks or do they need help (intelligence, funding, guns) to keep the terrorists at bay.
There should be an investigation in corroboration with Columbian government of any and all parties here in the USA and with FARC.
FBI, CIA, Judicial branches should be ripping and tearing into this piece by piece.
I expect indictments out of this!

D'OH!
Oh, THAT "preview" button. I was looking all over my keyboard for what I thought you could mean by that. I probably didn't realize what you you were referring to because I tried that and it didn't work. What finally worked for me was just reloading the page.
I also hate it when I lose a post, so I (usually) copy it to wordpad and save it to a temp file, just in case.
