John McCain-- First Campaign Ad --- "624787"

John McCain releases first campaign ad for the general election:
624787- Liberty is Priceless

INTERVIEWER: What is your rank?

JOHN MCCAIN: Lt. Commander in the Navy.

INTERVIEWER: And your official number?

JOHN MCCAIN: 624787

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released the first television ad of the general election. The ad, entitled "624787," poses important questions to the American people about what values they want in their next president, and highlights John McCain's experience, character and optimistic vision for our future. "624787" will run statewide in the important battleground state of New Mexico.

The campaign further announced that on Monday, John McCain will embark on a "Service to America" tour where he will introduce himself to the nation through a series of speeches and visits that trace the life of a man indebted to his nation, humbled by the opportunity to serve his country, honored by his family's love and deeply moved by his fellow Americans' courage and sacrifice. The tour will highlight the events and figures that shaped his views of right and wrong, forgiveness and grace and the tradition of service and sacrifice ingrained in him from generations of McCains. This "Service to America" tour will fundamentally be about the future of America and the change John McCain will bring as president, informed by the values that have guided his life.

John McCain for President

UPDATE: The Democrats are calling this ad opportunistic.
It must have hit home.

Perhaps McCain could 'one-up' Obama's change by apologizing to those Americans he called 'bigots' for wanting our laws respected?

What a stupid comment. "Gee...I wonder 'which values' Obama believes in...African...Kenyan?"

Get over it dude. The choice is McCain or failure. You make the call.

Hey, ma_che62, I will never vote for ANY candidate who, along with his friends, calls me a racist. It is an unreasoned argument, and therefore, only typical of liberals.

The rino mccain has told every Conservative to go away. As the Eagles sang, "I'm already gone."

Please support/vote for your choice of the 3 liberals still in the race. Don't ever presume to tell me who to for. Idiot.

BTW, if I ever do feel the need to be called a racist, all I have to do is attend a certain "church" in Chicago.

Well the McCain the Manchurian Candidate apparently is pandering to those who feel that there is something to one world government and something to junk science: John McCain Lays Out Foreign Policy Vision in Significant Speech - Video 3/26/08...

What you hear in this speech could've fallen out of the pie holes of a John Kerry, a Hillary, an Obama, and a fairy named Harry Reid...

Yes, his connections to the former Atzlan Ambassador Juan Hernandez are very troubling, especially after he said he "got the message."

The guy is an open borders advocate routinely seen on Fox.

But lets rememeber. All the other candidates are now supporting McCain. What does that say about the leadership of Republicans?

The Democrats are in it for more votes, ideological reasons of leftist agenda, whereas Repoblicans are driven more from big business it seems. But in truth, both parties are very similar on this issue for business and votes. Bush utilized the Latin vote.

There is only one grassroots movement to stop it from the conservative side.

Truth is we cannot force out 20 million people. It will have to be by logical steps. Eliminating criminals and gangs first. This would wreak havoc in our nation economically if we were to suddenly remove 20 million.

But, the illegal immigration must stop fully this time. No more free rides. There has to be a solution for guest workers. One that can lead to eventual citizenship, but at a logical, measured pace.

Honestly, what I do not understand is why liberals, leftist and environmentalist are not upset at the human imprint and added strain on our nations resources. The more people we add to the population, the more problems we will have environmentally around the nation.

The Big question I ask constantly is how many people can we realistically support with our resources? We do not need to be another China or India, with a Billion people.

What is the limit? Is this a legitimate question? Shouldn't we at least talk about reasonable population sizes in our country? Or will we end up like China? With a socialized government limiting births to one per family? And forcing abortion on innocent babies?

I treasure our country-side, mountains and plains, open space and rolling hills, valleys, shores, rivers. If we continue to allow so many people into our country, we eventually choke all the goodness out of the land and create a more chaotic living environment for all people in our nation.

Enough is enough. Illegal immigration must stop. Large migration must stop. Currently, our politicians are utilizing immigration as a way to sustain our economy. We need to stop such insane techniques as models for growth and learn how to balance our economy on more sound principles.

How many more homes and buildings, concrete will we build?

Eventually, the countryside turns into urban sprawl madness.

These are all very legitimate questions unrelated to race or ethnicity. They should be discussed openly and carefully for the future of our nation.

Hmmm...

Let's see.....

The choice on election day will be one of the following...

1. An American who actually loves this country. One that if we were attacked again would not hesitate to defend the country.

2. A Stalinist who would do her best to put this country under the rule of the UN and the ICC. A person who if this country was attacked would wait for the UN to tell us we could defend ourselves.

3. A racist, America hating, Islamofascist loving Marxist who if this country was attacked would be dancing in the streets with the Islamists. Who would probably use the office of the President to assist the attackers.

Those are your choices. And, IMHO, the time of voting based solely on {insert name of your pet issue here} is over. The stakes are way too high for that.

For the foreseeable future we are going to need a strong CinC because without a strong CinC you just may find that all your pet issues become suddenly irrelevant.

okay, not really a biggie, but i'm sticking this in here because the McPeak post went off the board (so to speak)..

RNC: 'A Rank Falsehood' From The Washington Post

excerpt:

[And lest anyone persist in thinking he was talking about war-fighting, he told his questioner: "It's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintained a presence in a very volatile part of the world."

There is another analogy to the kind of benign and strategically advantageous "presence" McCain was suggesting for postwar Iraq: Kuwait. ...

The desirability of a similar presence in Iraq was obvious as long as five years ago to retired Gen. Merrill McPeak, one of Barack Obama's leading military advisers and his campaign co-chairman. During the first week of the Iraq war, McPeak (an Iraq war critic) suggested in an interview that "we'll be there a century, hopefully. If it works right." (Meaning, if we win.)

Why is that a hopeful outcome? Because maintaining a U.S. military presence in Iraq would provide regional stability, as well as cement a long-term allied relationship with the most important Arab country in the region.

As McPeak himself said about our long stay in Europe, Japan and Korea, "This is the way great powers operate." ...

But a serious argument is not what Democrats are seeking. They want the killer sound bite, the silver bullet to take down McCain. According to Politico, they have found it: "Dems to hammer McCain for '100 years.'" ...

The Annenberg Political Fact Check, a nonprofit and nonpartisan project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, says: "It's a rank falsehood for the DNC to accuse McCain of wanting to wage 'endless war' based on his support for a presence in Iraq something like the U.S. role in South Korea."

The Democrats are undeterred. "It's seldom you get such a clean shot," a senior Obama adviser told Politico. It's seldom that you see such a dirty lie.]

Did anyone notice who's doing the voiceover for the commercial?

It's the crazy "Vice President" from last season's "24"...

Obama should do one with "President Palmer".

Nahanni,

If you think 20 million illegals and hundreds of thousands of criminals, thousands of murderers, rapist, thieves, child molestors and drunk driving killers is a "pet issue" then please join the Democrat ranks.

Open border Mexican Life Long Corruptocrat Hernandez? Are you kidding? He fights along with Mexico against Americans defending our border.

Do you sincerely believe that an open border with terrorist coming across is a "pet issue?"

I'll vote for McCain. But it does not mean I'll keep my voice shut on such an important issue. Especially when he hires and funds someone that is a career open borders, Mexican citizen that stands against America and American citizens.

Put all your smarminess aside and address the issues.

We all know who the candidates are, their positions, their weakness, strengths, lies and trends.

When John McCain says "he gets it" and then supports an Open Borders Advocate, he is essentially lying to us.

Get it? He is blowing us off just like the cheap trick of calling us all "bigots" when we American citizens demand action. I'm tired of bowing down to these leaders.

Whatever his past glory, it does not mean he can run roughshod over an important issue to this country!

This is no "pet issue." That is absurd to even say, when terrorist can enter across our country, infiltrate and murder more innocents. Plus the fact we're paying billions in free healthcare, education and prison, security, and in deaths of Americans.

Geeeesh... sick of political correctness. He needs to get rid of that man. That mans accuses us of racism, bigotry and hatred.

When in fact his beloved country of Mexico is much harsher on illegals coming into their country!

Are we suppose to be dupes? Ignorant, uninformed YES, YES babies today in America?

Obama is not our Messiah and guess what - NEITHER IS MCCAIN!

He's a politician and frankly he needs to hear from us about these issues and the BLOWOFF from his staff is insulting to Americans!

grrr, grrrr, grrrr.....

Sigh, answer the question Nahinni.

Do you want America to be a billion people? Do you want to have another Mexico City? Another Tijuana? More drug infested, gang infested cities?

We cannot take care of our own citizens today! Much less 20 million illegals. Have you ever gone to an emergency room on a weekend?

Try it sometime! I waited one night from 5pm to 7am in the morning! You know what I was told after that? I had another 24 hours!!!!!!!!

Do you know why Nahinni???? Why? Because the hospital was overwhelmed with illegals!!!! Illegals sitting in front of me! An American citizen! Who pays for services! They do not pay!

Geeeeesh! I'm fed up. Your comments really made me angry. We can elect McCain and get him to honor American citizens will as well!
