Dem Leader: "It's Simplistic & Naive to Say People Can Spend Their Money Better Than the Government"
Let Freedom Ring and Eric Odom passed on this video of Minnesota State Senator Larry Pogemiller and Minnesota Majority Leader-designate speaking Leftist truth to power.
The socialist cat got out of the bag on this one:
At least he's up front about it.
Here is what Pogemiller said in response to questions about a tax hike in Minnesota:
"I think it is simplistic and naive to say that people can spend their money better than government... The notion that everybody can individually spend their money better than government, I just think is trite wrong-headed and anti-democratic."Oops! Pogemiller probably has no idea that what he just said is extremely offensive to Americans who work hard for their money just to see government take it and build a bridge to nowhere.

Look at the map of the district he represents and you will understand why.
Cedar Riverside area=University of Minnesota.
NE/SE Minneapolis=the areas around it plus the more "gentrified" parts of the inner city. Warehouses converted into lofts, nice old Victorian/Craftsman style houses totally refurbished, nice little bistros, bars and boutiques-that kind of thing.
UnFricken believable!
So when did a Minnesota state senator become a "Dem Leader"?
Well Anon considering that he IS the Senate MAJORITY LEADER in the Minnesota Senate I would say that the description fits....
LL
I don't know why this would be a 'shocker', this is how the Liberals have conducted themselves for years and years.
Waiting for the chance to further build monuments to themselves with taxpayer money, or to support whacked out freaky science experiments overseas where they can conduct mad science and call it for the better of humankind.
I wish they would be run out of office.
Golly, LL, I didn't realize he was the MAJORITY LEADER in the Minnesota state senate. That means he speaks for all Democrats...
Just like in 2002, when MAJORITY LEADER Trent Lott made racist comments, that meant the entire GOP is racist.
Silly me... I almost forgot the double standard... What applies to Democrats doesn't apply to Republicans. How could I have forgotten that cardinal rule!

[Silly me... I almost forgot the double standard... What applies to Democrats doesn't apply to Republicans. How could I have forgotten that cardinal rule!]
the cardinal rule..
excerpt:
[I asked a caller on my radio show: "So if Christopher Dodd makes openly supportive remarks of a former KKK member, you believe its OK to give him a pass because he is a Democrat?"
Dave, an African-American caller from Brooklyn responded: "Of course ..."
This stunning exchange happened six days following a most deplorable event on the floor of the U.S. Senate. On taxpayer-funded time, Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd said, in a tribute to Robert Byrd, that he would be a "great leader" for any portion of American history. In fact, Dodd went on to elaborate that Byrd would have been a great leader at the founding of this country.
He said he would have been a great leader in the present days of turmoil. He went so far as to say that he [Dodd] could not think of a time when Robert Byrd would not have been a great leader for our nation. Dodd even cited the era of the Civil War specifically.]
in case you didn't know..
excerpt:
[During the Senate debates on the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, it was revealed that members of the Democratic Party formed many terrorist organizations like the Ku Klux Klan to murder and intimidate African Americans voters. The Ku Klux Klan Act was a bill introduced by a Republican Congress to stop Klan Activities. Senate debates revealed that the Klan was the terrorist arm of the Democratic Party.
History reveals that Democrats lynched, burned, mutilated and murdered thousands of blacks and completely destroyed entire towns and communities occupied by middle class Blacks, including Rosewood, Florida, the Greenwood District in Tulsa Oklahoma, and Wilmington, North Carolina to name a few.]
oh wait a sec, what was i thinking,
of course you didn't know.. duh!!

bg, instead of calling him a Democratic Leader, maybe it would be more acceptable to call him a "typical Lefty Democrat moron." That should satisfy anon.
That's right! And who is behind the Bridge to Nowhere? A Republican. But you probably wouldn't realise that from reading this blog. (Because he never mentions that little fact).

The quality of moonbat trolls has really gone down over the years. 5-6 years ago you could have a spirited, mature debate on a topic with one. I used to be able to get in a good workout with the ol' Cluebat(TM) on them. Now it is hardly worth it to even get the Cluebat(TM) out of it's case.
They all seem to have the mentality of a temper tantrum throwing five year old spoiled brat. The "I'm rubber, you're glue" anonatard trolling this thread is a fine example of this. This particular troll has not yet learned that the "I'm rubber, you're glue" is the tactic of a total loser who knows there is no way he can defend any argument to support his views. In fact I doubt that he could formulate a cogent argument to support his views in the first place.
He is also a fine example of what passes for a liberal/"progressive"/Democrat nowdays. Emotionally immature and insecure individuals with moderate to severe psychological problems and morally and intellectually bankrupt to boot. I have to laugh at these people-they seem to think they are so intelligent yet with every post they make they show their ignorance and sheer stupidity.
Party affiliation is irrelevant here, Anon ... the "bridge to nowhere" still proves GP's point about the inability of government to spend our money prudently ... even if it was backed by a Republican.
The difference between the parties is that the GOP (despite talking a good game on spending) still gets it wrong too many times for my liking ... while the Democrats just don't "get it"; their stated policy is to make things "fair" by spending and taxation -- i.e. wealth redistribution ... when it comes to protecting life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I would like to see BOTH parties rendered obsolete ... but until that happens, I will probably find myself voting for GOP members more than Democrats, as the lesser of two evils.
That is completely absurd and exactly what is wrong with politics today. the arrogance is maddening to me and most people I know.

He is absolutely right. They just spelled it wrong in the quote. It should read
"The notion that everybody can individually spend their money better than government, I just think is trite wrong-headed and anti-Democratic."
Note the capital "D". (But did he mean "quite" for "trite"?)
It's a fundamental part of the Democratic philosophy that they (the elite, like Gore, Edwards, Kennedy &c) know what's best for the rest of us.
Personally, I've just been dying to find out how the gummint wants me to spend their money. That is, the money in my accounts that the gummint graciously lets me use some of.
Believe you me, he doesn't think the government is smarter than HIM, when it comes to spending his own money - typical socialist/communist.
There is nothing worse than arrogance coupled with stupidity. This guy seems to have a lot of both. He should do well as a Democrat.
