Obama extended a hand to the bitter religious people of Pennsylvania on Sunday.

As the real world presses in on them, their voices have become more shrill and hysterical; their rage is escalating out of control. No longer do most of them even bother to argue their points logically; they simply loudly denounce any idea or person who threatens their ideology; or deliberately and with the ruthless finesse of all tyrants and thugs, simply attempt to silence all dissenting opinions. 9/11 did not wake them up; rather it forced them to openly move toward what they have supported surreptitiously all along--the elimination of free speech in the name of political correctness and multiculturalism; a dictatorship where the pseudo-intellectual, politically correct priesthood rule; and complete control over the lives of others (for their own good, of course!).
Since their objectives happen to parallel those of the Islamic terrorists, they care not that their behavior enables and encourages the terrorist's agenda. They blithely denounce America and the principles of freedom and democracy out of one side of their mouth, while remaining convinced that their actions are patriotic and are representative of "true" American values.

Clearly, much of this so called "quotation" was taken out of context. Obama remains the first choice of ALL Pennsylvanians: he won't allow a repeat of G.W. Bush's NAFTA, and he won't block environmental initiatives (Kyoto) as Bush did. He will work WITH the Europeans and the oppressed peoples of the Middle East (Syria) to make the World a better place. It's his message of hope and change. It starts in Pennsylvania as he has said all along. Respect.
More fundamentally, the recent videos on Obama really have me questioning how we all came off believing he was savvy, smart and charming. These speeches are unremarkable and wouldn't put him convincingly ahead in a county supervisor seat in rural Iowa, let alone President.
It's remarkable how these videos not only show poor judgment and amazing inconsistency (to the point of excessive hypocrisy), but really expose Obama to be an overhyped good looking underachiever with little aptitude and no significant experience.
Senator Obama better have a survival beacon so the leftwingers can try to dig him out when he gets avalanched by McCain in November.

Dr. Sanity's "Consequences of Denial" is apt title for Democrats today. They were in denial under Clinton. I had only begun my long walk out of denial, from left, liberal status quo, a little prior to 9/11. My long awakening was clearly banged open that morning of September 2001.
We are a wordy people unlike any other species on this planet. And effected by anything we see or read if not trained to filter out garbage. A large majority of young feed on information without being critical. MTV feeds our young garbage daily. VH1 feeds our young false manna. Manna that clouds their brain with confusion. They get indoctrinated daily at institutions "preaching" America is evil daily from high school to university. Parents have to fight it from a very young age. Many unaware the values taught to childen at school are undermining their values taught at home.
For those who awaken, many now Home School. Home school is booming because parents understand they cannot fight daily indoctrination of hatred for God, Country and Family values.
It is like going to Church one day a week. It does little good if you do not study the Bible fully and comprehend its instructions for a fruitful life.

Hmmm, I think much of it is more dishonesty at least on leaders parts who know better. Sheep are sheep true.

That is why it is so crucial our government went to volunteer forces. As a result outside forces are limited to influence this time around. And those who believe in the cause almost have equal footing this time around, with at least one conservative major TV news outlet on cable. But it is still very difficult against 4-5 other major TV and cable brands.
But I think the democrat leaders will pay a heavy price for their decpetion this time. They have lied about Iraq. They have lied about our military. They have insulted our volunteers, generals and soldiers who give everything they can for this country. McCain will ride upon eagles wings come November. And I still have hope that this country, if given a chance to hear and read the truth, will support him. And place all those in denial, as well as their false leaders back out in the chicken pen.

You were wise to post this anonymously, because you are peddling falsehoods. NAFTA was enacted in 1994, when George W. Bush hadn't even been elected governor of Texas yet. The Kyoto Protocol failed in the U.S. because the Senate voted 95 to 0 to reject it. This took place in 1997, three and a half years before George W. Bush took office as president.

When I posted about this yesterday, I had found the part ..
anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
.. as just breathe taking in regard to the fact that just the day before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had exercised the "nuclear option" and taken the Columbian Free Trade agreement out of contention for an up or down vote.
But why would Nancy Pelosi be bitter ?
But alas, here was the leading contender for the Democratic nomination for POTUS basically saying that this was a cynical act, probably a cynical political act which was not in the interest of the nation, but nonetheless standard Democratic fare of the day.
I've noticed today, that some progressive sites seem to leave off the "anti-trade sentiment" portion of the quote, including Reuters.
Are all Democratic candidates so cynical of the voters that they fell free to distort their own positions publicly while secretly knowing that they would not support it themselves ?
I will watch and wait for an answer.

My first reaction is dismay that an elitist, hard-left phony like Obama is even in a position to win the White House. Of course, my next thought is acknowledging that his candidacy is simply the logical follow up to our hard-left, America-hating media and popular culture that teach nothing but Marxist idiocy and perverted social engeneering. Garbage in, garbage out.
Actually, TRY LIVING in a small PA town and you might see just how creepily accurate Obama is on this. I have lived in one for 28 years. What is in my county? Rifle clubs, hunting clubs, religion up the yin-yang, bars, and Veteran's clubs. Go into any of those and ask them what they think of big politicians. I dare you. I bet you'll get an earful and then some. Hell yeah we're bitter. We're tired of being shoved off by the big politicians who deny we exist. The very fact that Obama recognizes this shows that he had taken notice of people like us, and that he's willing to be our voice.
