How could he be crucified?
I thought Judas hung himself.
Talking back to Rev. Wright is crucifying him.
The Obama campaign needs to keep this loose cannon out of the country until November.

Large, predominantly black (segregated by choice) churches and organizations give the traveling racists standing "O's." Are we to ignore what appears to be a monolithic anti-white, anti-capitalist, anti-American movement?
I wonder if a revolution bent on destroying our country has been declared, and we didn't get the memo, ala bin laden's declaration of war?
Decades of appeasement, welfare bribes, and law enforcement coddling have apparently succeeded only in encouraging contempt from these folks. Although this result from dependency politics should be no surprise, do these folks foolishly expect actual Americans to put up with their nonsense forever?
The fact that black churches are pretending to practice and teach Christianity is an outrage.
Having been warned by black co-workers of preparations for racial warfare among blacks and muslims against whites, I am still shocked that even black preachers are selling racism and anti-Americanism. I have never counted frauds like sharpton or jackson as representing Christian blacks, but it looks like I was wrong. Unless a massive repudiation of wright and his cheering fools is forth-coming from blacks, I shall conclude that they have declared themselves to be my sworn enemies, as well.
Bear, unfortunately it's becoming more and more obvious as the campaign moves along. The one thing that this election will do is to firmly map the positions of all parties out in the open. Blacks, muslims, progs, and the rest of the country including the Asians who, strangely enough are considered White, (probably because they love education.)
BTW, I think that otter has a heck of a point. Judas wasn't crucified.
Sure they will try to start a "race war" which will be not about race but ideology cloaked in "race".
As I have stated before this Presidential election for the Democrats is no longer about who the nominee is but who controls the party. And all the signs are there that the America hating, Marxist radical left wing and it's "brothers-in-arms" is about to get kicked to the curb, and the radical left wing knows they are losing their grip on the Democratic party.
For the last 40 years since the radical left wing took over the party they have been using it to push their agenda on America through the country's own institutions. This tactic has worked splendidly for them in the past but is failing now and they are in danger of losing control of the party.
They know that they can not achieve their goals by forming a third party because the true nature of their goals are an anathema to the vast majority of Americans. They know they can not win by using the political system unless they are attached like a parasite to a willing host.
So, what are they do to to further their cause?
Open warfare.
According to what passes for their "logic" it worked quite well in the 1960's and they think that if they just bitch slap us around while their friends in the media and Hollywood guilt trip us they will get their way, again.
Unfortunately for them this is 2008, not 1968. This will be their "Captain Tupolev moment".
Nahanni, I sincerely hope you are correct that the marxists and anarchists will be tossed out.
However, with even the so-called Republican candidate running as a democrat, and still being called an extremist by the lib candidates, I wonder how far to the left this country can drift before we reach the point of no return? With the courts, our education system, and Congress in the hands of the lefties, and no strong repudiation of sharia from our elected leaders, the destruction of our Constitution is within sight. The alarm bells should be ringing, at long last, across our land.
Perhaps the promised violence from the lefties this summer will wake folks up.
I believe Mr. Buckley encouraged Conservatives to "soldier on." Good advice. Thanks, again, to GP (and others) for the information we need to carry the argument forward.
I'd say it's safe to say that Wright is a bona fide racist, but that would miss the real point. Don't send your time thinking gangsta, when you should be thinking huckster.
You have to realize that pastors of black churches often think of their congregants in a niggardly or "less than" terms, its part of the huckster role that demands "no noise" or "paper-only" in the basket. Meanwhile in order to maintain their "cash cow," they preach a doctrine that keeps blacks from moving to a better place, with ideas like the anti-middleclassness, until he eventually retires to a 10,000 sq ft mansion in a gated community of more than 90% white neighbors. His form of racism is a tool of a black pastor to keep blacks down using whites to triangulate while he plays a Moses who has no intention of getting them to the promise land.
When you finally realize that Obama's 20 year apprentice in hucksterism at Trinity Church was to gain "street cred" and train his skills at manipulating, starting with the black community, it becomes clear why he spend 20 years there becoming a modern day carpetbagger. The only real major difference between Wright and Obama is that Wright thinks within the confines of a pastor, while Obama is trying to expand to a whole country. Wright's idea of 'A change is going to come' means Obama is going national.
BEAR,
First off here is a song for you to listen to...
Secondly, this post may seem to be off topic but it isn't. In this case the race warriors use race as a veil, their goals are no different then the Islamofascists and the radical left in the west. They are just going about it from a different direction and using slightly different tools.
The moonbats wish to "recreate '68". But, if you observe closely, we are repeating an earlier point in history.
1938.
Now if you remember your history of the run up to WWII the intellectual forefathers of the moonbats were saying and doing pretty much the same things they are now.
The intellectual forefathers of the moonbats absolutely hated and despised both Churchill and FDR. The term "drunken imperialist warmonger" was first used to describe Churchill. In this country there were some that had RDS and railed on about Roosevelt in much the same way that the moonbats today do about Bush.
Antisemitism was quite fashionable with the intellectual forefathers of the moonbats as it is now with their descendants. It was also fashionable to be great admirers of Nazism despite the fact that the Nazis stood for everything they espoused to hold dear. Celebrities of the day such as Charles Lindburg embraced the Nazis much like Sean Penn embraces the Islamofascists today. People in government such as Joseph P. Kennedy (at that time he was the ambassador to Great Britain) loved Nazism and they did everything in their power to assist it. Ol' Joe was considered by the Germans to be "Germany's best friend in London" and was eventually recalled because the British did not trust him to not give vital information to the Germans.
The intellectual forefathers of the moonbats also had an anti war movement thinly disguised as "isolationism". People tend to forget that there were massive "isolationist" protests, demonstrations and they even had their "stars" like Fr. Coughlin. Most of these "isolationist" movements were funded by the Communists and the Nazis, just like our current "peace activists" are funded by the Communists and Islamofascists today. They wanted to tie our hands while they had their way with the rest of the world because they knew that America was the only entity on the planet that would stop them, Russia and China wouldn't because they are essentially doing their work for them. Once these fools got done destroying America and the democratic west they would in turn destroy them. The Europeans then were much like they are now-appeasers who would not do diddly squat.
With the rise in power of Ahmadinejad we now are facing the likelihood that we will be fighting WWIII. Before we had state sponsored terrorism operating in conjunction with the radical left in the west to achieve their goals, and even though thousands have died due to this alliance it has not brought about what the Islamofascists and the radical left so desires-the destruction of America and Israel. Now they have someone with the desire and the wherewithal to do so with Ahmadinejad. It is no surprise that they are now rushing to embrace him as they did 70 years ago with Hitler.
This is why I get so exasperated with some people. They would rather see the likes of Hillary or Obama in office because McCain isn't "conservative" enough for them and "that will teach the Republicans a lesson" kind of shite. They do not realize just how fraught with peril the world situation is and that if we do not have a strong CinC all their little "pet issues" and "ideological smell tests" don't mean jack.
This is probably the most important election we have faced since 1936 and it should be treated as such. Because I am hoping that we have learned something from history, but I am beginning to think that we haven't. Too bad for us because, unlike the 1930's, the Atlantic and Pacific are no longer the protection they once were.
This sentence in my post should have read.
It was also fashionable to be great admirers of Nazism despite the fact that the Nazis stood against everything they espoused to hold dear.
This is what I get for trying to post while having the shower in my bathroom rebuilt.
Nahanni, upwards of 50 million people had to die for that lesson, which has been forgotten so quickly. Maybe this time we'll get it right. But thanks for the tune!
BTW, never remodel on an empty stomach. No good will come of it. ;)
