3 Cheers For Former Democratic VP Candidate Lieberman!

There is exactly one democrat who does not publically support the policies of appeasement.
...And, he got kicked out of the party because of it.

One Good Democrat

Senator Joe Lieberman released a statement today in support of President Bush:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Joseph Lieberman (ID-CT) issued the following statement in response to President Bush’s statement to the Israel Knesset this morning:

“President Bush got it exactly right today when he warned about the threat of Iran and its terrorist proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah. It is imperative that we reject the flawed and naïve thinking that denies or dismisses the words of extremists and terrorists when they shout “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and that holds that—if only we were to sit down and negotiate with these killers—they would cease to threaten us. It is critical to our national security that our commander-in-chief is able to distinguish between America’s friends and America’s enemies, and not confuse the two.”
No other Democrat had the nerve to say that President Bush is 100% correct about failed policies of appeasement.
Shame on the Party of Defeat!

Hurrah for Senator Joseph Lieberman (ID-CT). Is he the only one left in the Senate that has any "guts"? What a Statesman.

President Bush doesn't deserve the disrepect that he constantly receives from the MSM and Democrats. About time someone stood by his side instead of running away from him. His policies are about keeping America FREE.

Lieberman is the McCain of the DNC.
The Republicans nominate our maverick and the Democrats throw theirs out.

    well stated..

i heart Lieberman (and i miss Zell)..

(and McCain is wrong to snide Bush here & there as he is prone to do on even the most unnecessary & irrelevant matters in order to appease his Dem cohorts.. shame on him!!)

  4. Lieberman shows that it is possible to be a left-leaning politician and principled at the same time.

  5. Joe publicly tossed his "principles" under the algore garbage truck in '02. Credit where credit is due, though. Israel needs every bit of support.

  6. Hezbollah said it best thmselves.

Hussein Massawi, former leader of Hezbollah, summed it up very pithily: "We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you."

  7. Kicked out of the party? Did I miss that? He ran as an independent against both Repub and Demo nominees, and won, but is still a Democrat AFAIK.

  8. Power, light, and reason. How strange the world be. Utterly and without any compare. To spend a life barkin at the moon, and then one day question my place in it. And my map point, upon the linear continuum ... deemed left and right.

Making stupid levity of Dub's then first Presidential candidacy. And not even believing he made it out of the primaries. Let alone strode all the way to, and into the White House.

Only to have my world change from small to large. Empty to fulsome. Embarrassingly inane. To warm of heart, hats a'switched ... voting to reelect. And proud.

Proud of our President, George W. Bush. Beyond measure.

G*d Bless us one, G*d Bless us all.

Yeah...yeah...the same Lieberman who is going to try and shove his Global Warming Hysterial bill down our throats and through the Senate next week.

Whew...glad he's in there looking out for the interests of the American people...as he tries to dismantle our economy for no real valid proven reason. Go Joe GO!!!
