This is a very important book on Israel's continual struggle against the Islamic jihad. It is such an important read that Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote this:

I had the privilege of meeting Jerusalem Post columnist Caroline Glick and Richard Landes, the creator of Pallywood the movie, during a trip with American bloggers to Tel Aviv last August.
It was quite on honor.

i have read ms glick. she is intelligent and has great critical analysis skills. unfortunately the jews are suicidial and all that g-d has taught them is for naught.

There is an entire industry, and a huge segment of the blog-o-sphere dedicated to continually reenforcing the idea that Islamic Jihad is the biggest threat to the west.
ReplyDeleteIf the corner of "the west" you live in is Israel this is no doubt true.
Here in the Western United states I don't see muslims as this huge threat. There are very few here. They are mostly middle class, and mind their own business. I would probably prefer if they were not here, but they are not destroying our city.
The same cannot be said of our Mexican friends. They are here in huge numbers. They are here illegally. They falgrently break American laws, everything from having insurance on their cars to adult men not having sex with 15 year old girls.
They have starred in a series of brutal killings and rape-abductions. They have created several powerful gangs that are involved in low level organized crime: street dealing, car theft, etc.
And despite the fact they claim only to want to work there is a faction that is constantly agitating for more Spanish in the schools, Spanish in hospitals, etc.
America faces many of the same problems that Europe faces from Islam: a unified, unassimilated minority that has a strong sense of entitlement, is often overtly hostile to the majority cultures demands that they adhere to existing behavioral norms, and which is growing at a very high rate compared to the natives.
Just as in Europe this is a recipie for disaster. The difference is our disaster is not being broung by moslems, it is courtesey of the Mexican and other Latino invaders.
I would not expect Ms. Glick, who I greatly admire to understand this. However I feel that it is important to keep pointing out the reality of the American situation when broad sweeping statements are made about "the west". Here in the REAL west (cowboys & Indians country!) we know the threat to our continuing our way of life is not Islam.
