Hillary's Jobs Ad Shows Indiana Plant Closed By Bill Clinton

Hillary Clinton released her "Closed" ad this week.
In the ad Hillary talks about the Magnequench plant closing in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Hillary wonders how George Bush could have let such a thing happen.
Here's the ad:
(30 seconds)

Well, wonder of wonders... It was later revealed that the sale of this plant that produced magnets needed to guided "smart bombs" to Chinese investors was approved by her husband, Bill Clinton.

But, none of that is important when you're a Clinton and you're running for office...
And, when you can blame everything on Bush and be assured that his administration will most likely not refute it.
Free Republic and NWI.com reported:

U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton stood in a Washington Township gymnasium last month and publicly said President George W. Bush was forcing the American military to rely on "Chinese spare parts" by allowing the sale of a Valparaiso defense contractor.

But fresh questions are being raised in the wake of Hillary's much-publicized comments questioning why Bush failed to stop Chinese investors from moving Magnequench to China and closing the Northwest Indiana plant.

For example, if the sale of the company to Chinese investors was going to jeopardize national security, why did President Bill Clinton's administration approve it in 1995?

Magnequench made the sophisticated magnets needed to guided "smart bombs." Today, bomb-makers have to buy the magnets from the Chinese.

Kevin Griffis, Indiana spokesman for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, said Hillary Clinton's comments about Magnequench were part of "Washington game-playing" in which "people are willing to say anything to win an election."
Truly.

Bill Clinton okayed the Magnequench move despite concerns about national security and eventual job loss. Experts say the Chinese acquired the "technical sophistication" that created the magnets long before George W. Bush took office -ABC News.
I know... You're shocked!

UPDATE: Hillary's "gun-rights attacks" on Obama are just as dishonest.

UPDATE 2: The Democrats are no better on energy.
The Wall Street Journal reported:

This is one strange debate the candidates are having on energy policy. With gas prices close to $4 a gallon, Hillary Clinton and John McCain say they'll bring relief with a moratorium on the 18.4-cent federal gas tax. Barack Obama opposes that but prefers a 1970s-style windfall profits tax (as does Mrs. Clinton).

Mr. Obama is right to oppose the gas-tax gimmick, but his idea is even worse. Neither proposal addresses the problem of energy supply, especially the lack of domestic oil and gas thanks to decades of Congressional restrictions on U.S. production. Mr. Obama supports most of those "no drilling" rules, but that hasn't stopped him from denouncing high gas prices on the campaign trail. He is running TV ads in North Carolina that show him walking through a gas station and declaring that he'll slap a tax on the $40 billion in "excess profits" of Exxon Mobil...

So now we have Congress threatening to help itself to business profits even though Washington already takes 35% right off the top with the corporate income tax.

You may also be wondering how a higher tax on energy will lower gas prices. Normally, when you tax something, you get less of it, but Mr. Obama seems to think he can repeal the laws of economics. We tried this windfall profits scheme in 1980. It backfired.

It is beyond me why George W does not correct all the misinformation that is spread about his administration. It is really disheartening.

I think a lot of conservatives are really sad about this.

Well neither one of these goofy Dem libtards has a corner on saying utterly stupid stuff...

Note the following: Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Wednesday that if he wins the White House, he will invest $210 billion to create jobs in the construction and environmental sectors

Now it seems to me that these two sectors, construction and environmental are more normally in opposition to each other... So how will this work?

Yet we know that Hillary has lots of Socialist Dreams and Aspirations that will cost us...

There is no real way for him to do that. The MSM is in the hands of the moonbats.

It is ok, though. Lincoln and Churchill both had this problem. They were both hated by the intellectual forefathers of the moonbats of today. Lincoln was repeatedly called a "baboon" and worse and was called "illiterate" and Churchill was the first person to be referred to as a "drunken imperialistic warmonger". But, in the end, history showed the true nature of the matter.

GP,

Michelle Obama got loose again!

Michelle Obama: Barack has hit boiling point

The British newspapers are doing a better job of covering this election then the US papers are.

There are some real gems in this one.

Her husband was thinking "I can't let my ego, my anger, my frustration get in the way of the ultimate goal," she said.

I guess his "anger" automatically precludes him from being President. After all, that is what the Obamaniacs are trying to say about McCain in one of their weak attacks on him.

James Pickens is typical of those who have been inspired by the black senator from Illinois. A reformed crack cocaine dealer, he is now peddling Obama T-shirts.

Mr Pickens, 50, has served three prison terms totalling 13 years, but vowed to change his ways after hearing Mr Obama speak.

He said: "I never voted for a president before. He's for change, which is something I need in my life. Until recently I was selling drugs, and now I'm selling T-shirts."

The Obamamessiah heeeeaaaaaalllleeeedddd him. I wonder if laying on hands was involved....

Hey nahanni, good point and maybe one could throw Reagan into that crowd... It seems that Reagan isn't being lambasted as much now as when he was alive...

Re: Michelle 'foot in mouth' Obama... Good snag nahanni!

Ahhh, the million dollar line: "Barack has been characterised as many things that have nothing to do with who he is."...

Well considering how Obama tries to morph himself into something different each and everytime he lies in public maybe Ms. Obama has a point...ROFLMAO!

I think Hillary believes she is untouchable, just like her husband, Bill, did. She obviously believes Americans are too dumb to pick up on the truth in the matter - nothing will make people madder.

joanne,

You are wrong.

Hillary is a very smart politician with a very large ego.

What you have to remember that she was the "anointed" Presidential candidate by the Democratic party until the ideologically pure Obamamessiah showed up. Then they dumped both her and Bill like a hot rock and rushed to worship at the altar of Obama.

When she refused to STFU and STFD and worship the Obamamessiah they turned on her like a rabid dog. The people who control the Democratic party have are using all the dirty tricks in their book to run her off. It is not surprising to see how her campaign is going, she is fighting both the Democratic party and the Obama's.

juandos,

The difference with Reagan was that he knew how to work the media. Yes, they did do their best at trying to damage him but he knew how to get back at them.

Also, back in the 1980's it would be unheard of for the networks not to cover things like presidential news conferences and the like. Now, the MSM intentionally tries to bury anything Bush says or does that might be viewed in a positive light.

Nahanni - seems to me Hillary and Bill continue to get away with things they do and say, even if the media takes a swipe at them - it still has little effect on them. Perhaps if either of them had any shame, they'd both crawl under a rock, but they don't and won't - no matter what comes at them. Hillary will fight to her last breath - if only it were so.

As for Hillary being a smart politician - if you mean a lying scum-bag, I'm with you on that.
