The Jerusalem Post reported:
Iran has promised Hamas new rockets and more funds, an expression of the Islamic Republic's displeasure with recent news of renewed Israeli-Syrian peace talks, the London-based newspaper, Asharq Alawsat reported on Sunday...It's thug week in Tehran...
An Iranian source told the paper that in light of Mashaal's fears, Iranian regime officials promised the head of Hamas's political bureau that Iran would continue supporting Hamas financially, materially and morally, even if Syria would turn its back on the organization for the sake of an agreement with Israel.
According to the source, the Iranians had even elaborated what that support would be: Newer, upgraded rockets and an increase in the budget allotted to Hamas to $150 million in the second half of 2008.

Of course, Barack Obama blames Bush's threats of a military strike on Iran for its support for Hamas and Hezbollah.

UPDATE: Naharnet is reporting that Iran also gave Hamas a telecommunications network similar to the one they gave Hezbollah.
Since all of the terrorists' armament gets to them from syria, the "displeasure" with damascus is a sham.
ReplyDeleteBlaming Bush is one more indicator that the obamster has a problem with chronology. He claimed he was conceived years after he was born. Nice trick, barry. That way he avoided being aborted.
BTW, have any imams weighed in on whether or not the obamster is considered to be a converted muslim, therefore an apostate with a death sentence hanging over his head?...oh, wait, as infidels, we all have a death sentence from the religion-of-ultimate-stupidity (that's islam, to you imams out there). Never mind.
bear,
ReplyDeleteObama is a moslem.
He is just practicing Taqiyya.
