Mr. "I'll meet with Mahmoud anywhere-anytime" is now claiming that hate crimes against Hispanics doubled last year.
He said this while attacking Rush Limbaugh and Lou Dobbs.
The Palm Beach Post reported:
In a speech to the crowd, Obama sharpened his rhetoric against some of the most vocal voices against immigrant workers and migrant worker programs.Obama obviously knows something the rest of us don't.
“A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There’s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year,” Obama said. “If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up, it’s not surprising that would happen.”
The 2007 hate crime statistics have not been released yet.
The 2006 hate crime statistics were released in late November 2007:
Anti-Hispanic Incidents in 2005 - 522
Anti-Hispanic Incidents in 2006 - 576
This showed a 10% increase.
So unless Barack Obama was privy to some secret information that has not been released yet-- he's pulling numbers out of his Far Left a$$.

I do a lot of work with crime statistics, and I know the 2007 FBI data is still preliminary at best and there isn’t public access to hate crime stuff for that year. However, there is plenty of data on 2006 and before for hate crimes… between 2004 and 2005, anti-Hispanic crimes went up about 9% (from 475 to 522… NATIONALLY), and then up 10% from 2005 to 2006 (from 522 to 576... again, NATIONALLY). And of course, based on this information, Obama is just talking out his butt regarding numbers anyway even if he knows about the 2007 numbers that the public doesn’t.
Obama can try to pander to the Hispanics all day long, they still will not vote for him.

What would be interesting (and I couldn't find on the gov. site) would be how many of those Hispanics who were victims of hate crimes were victims of Black on Hispanic crime. I know that the Black/Hispanic gang problem is great in Los Angeles and LaShaun Barber has written many times about it.

With it being such a small statistical increase, I would argue that due to the overall increase of hispanics numbers through immigration illegal, legal, and otherwise, would make it a meaningless statistic.
Just the dem's using fear-mongering, which they love to accuse the repubs of doing.
Combine that with Man-made Global warming, and do we see some projection here???

As the economy turns down, it's normal that people who shouldn't be here and have jobs get the brunt of it -- Taking jobs from citizens. May not be right, but it is what it is. The construction industry has taken the biggest hit in our area, the illegals have mostly left the area. Now if the illegals weren't here, then likely wouldn't be a problem, would it.

Those stats you posted show more "hate" crimes against blacks and whites overall.
I'd like to know stats for white on black, black on white, etc., etc. including hispanic that are not hate crimes. Do they bother to keep such stats?
Of 330,000,000 Million people, Obama plays the fear mongor race card based upon 500 crimes out of 20-30 million hispanics. We don't know who the perps are, nor does he talk about the M13 hispanic gang violence against black gangs. That the escalation of violence alone in LA is contributing to the rise in attacks.
Whatever serves false messiah's purpose in the end. If he really wants to play that game, we can start tracking deaths at the hands of illegals.
He is the one that is divisive. Instead of joining in for rule of law, he divides our nation of law abiding citizens against those who illegally crossed our borders.

And who is committing these alleged hate crimes? Well, blacks commit most hate crimes directed against Hispanics. Note also that Hispanics are not counted as Hispanics but as whites when committing hate crimes. So the recent campaign by Hispanics to ethnically cleanse Los Angeles are technically hate crimes committed by whites. Additionally, is the Obamessiah going to address hate crimes by blacks against whites?
