Vets For Freedom hope that Barack Obama can get enough nerve up to visit the troops in Iraq and General Petraeus to see the great progress since he was there last.
Here is their latest ad urging Barack Obama and Democrats to finally admit the truth...
That the Bush Surge is working:
Obama has been to Iraq once, in 2006.
Jim Geraghty wrote today on Barack Obama's willingness to sit down with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the crazed president of the ruling regime in Iran, but not General Petraeus, the outstanding commander who has turned the war around in Iraq.
The Campaign Spot reported on Obama's weak response to Senator McCain on the invitation to join him on a trip to Iraq to see the progress:
"John McCain's proposal is nothing more than a political stunt, and we don't need any more 'Mission Accomplished' banners or walks through Baghdad markets to know that Iraq's leaders have not made the political progress that was the stated purpose of the surge. The American people don't want any more false promises of progress, they deserve a real debate about a war that has overstretched our military, and cost us thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars without making us safer."Funny... To top this "political stunt," the Obama campaign pulled one of their own.
They announced later today that the foreign policy gaffer may take a quick trip over to Iraq in the near future.
Let's hope he has an easier time finding Iraq than he did finding Kentucky.
HotAir has more on Obama's response to McCain.

Obama's entire campaign is based on his judgment from his famous, "Dumb War," speech in 2002. But does that judgment make the grade?

Intelligent, well spoken, to the point in your face.
ReplyDeleteNo smarmy jokes. Good on these Vets! They will be a force in this election and so will all the Vets.
Kerry, where for art thou? These Vets make his humor even more tasteless. But then, it wasn't really humor. Its what he believed. These Dems and their continued insults will be catching flak in the fall.
Someone will have to make a video of all the tasteless jokes by politicians, hollywood starz, musicians, pundits, and wrap it all up in a nice delivery that shows all the talent of our veterans, their sacrifice and their victorious wins in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If anyone knows any truth about "Yes we can" it is our military today! They did it!
Backfired with me in a big way, shockingly not believable.
ReplyDeleteAlways remember that Obama basically slammed the door in Gen. Petraeus's face when he was at the Capitol.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I am concerned Obama can might as well not bother. Everyone there knows exactly who and what he is and everyone knows that the only reason why he would be going there is because of sheer political reasons and nothing else.
If he does go there I certainly hope our servicemen and women are not ordered to participate in any phony-baloney photo ops.

anon @ 5:49 given that your cranial cavity is embedded so deeply into your anal aperture, isn't it getting really stinky in there, along with the usual darkness that prevents you from seeing what's going on in the world?
