The jihadists are tracking their attacks in Iraq:

Al-Qaeda in Iraq attacks are down some 94% in the last year.
What terrific news!
The Talisman Gate reports that the Jihadists are admitting defeat in Iraq and that attacks are down 94% in the last year:
A prolific jihadist sympathizer has posted an ‘explosive’ study on one of the main jihadist websites in which he laments the dire situation that the mujaheddin find themselves in Iraq by citing the steep drop in the number of insurgent operations conducted by the various jihadist groups, most notably Al-Qaeda’s 94 percent decline in operational ability over the last 12 months when only a year and half ago Al-Qaeda accounted for 60 percent of all jihadist activity!Talisman Gate has more.
The author, writing under the pseudonym ‘Dir’a limen wehhed’ [‘A Shield for the Monotheist’], posted his ‘Brief Study on the Consequences of the Division [Among] the [Jihadist] Groups on the Cause of Jihad in Iraq’ on May 12 and it is being displayed by the administration of the Al-Ekhlaas website—one of Al-Qaeda’s chief media outlets—among its more prominent recent posts. He's considered one of Al-Ekhlaas's "esteemed" writers.
The author tallies up and compares the numbers of operations claimed by each insurgent group under four categories: a year and half ago (November 2006), a year ago (May 2007), six months ago (November 2007) and now (May 2008). He demonstrated that while Al-Qaeda’s Islamic State of Iraq could claim 334 operations in Nov. 06 and 292 in May 07, their violent output dropped to 25 in Nov. 07 and 16 so far in May 08. Keep in mind that these assessments are based on Al-Qaeda's own numbers.
Hat Tip BG
Al-Qaeda may have been in a slump lately but they at least were able to get a 12 year-old to explode himself this week.
I can't believe you trust the terrorists. Whose side are you on?
ReplyDeleteVERY GOOD NEWS, indeed, but the anti-American propaganda from the dems will still not abate. Traitorous fools.

[Thus, not only is America defeating Al-Qaeda militarily in Iraq but it is also squashing the grand jihadist vision for a caliphate that the Islamic State of Iraq stood for. This point is critical: in this ideological war, victory can only come about when the ideology of the opponent is negated and proven unworkable. The fight in Iraq is doing just that.
I’m not saying that the jihadists won’t keep trying to find a workable formula for the caliphate elsewhere, but for now they have been dealt a severe demoralizing blow.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it all ye calling for a hasty withdrawal.]
so right on!!
unfortunately the MSM won't be touting this good news. but every time Amadjerkoff, AQ et al, Hamas or Hezbollah makes an anti-US statement or video, they can't wait to repetitiously air it..
meanwhile this is the typical reaction of the Soros Dems & their moonbat fan club..

To Anonymous: If the jihadists posted this information about their drop in attacks, fantastic. If a jihadist sympathizer posted this information about their drop in attacks, fantastic. If the United States somehow spread this information (which includes the factual information that in general, AQI has been marginalized lately) well then that's fantastic too. Seems like a win/win to me.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 4:17 PM..
one thing is for darn certain.. i trust the terrorists a heck of a lot more than i do the Soros Dems & their cohorts in the media.. irony is, they trust each other..
an old cliche that fits the scenario..
you can trust a theif, but you can't trust a liar..

The reality is, the anti-Iraqi forces (ie. al Qaeda, Mahdi Army) have provided a perspective on the war the mainstream media and democrats have all but ignored.
ReplyDeleteWhether it was letters from Zarqawi bemoaning the lack of able bodies al Qaeda operatives, or calls to Bin Laden to send more help, or protests by villagers because 41 of the 43 men they sent to fight U.S. forces didn't return home, the war in Iraq has been an utter disaster for al Qaeda, but you wouldn't know that from reading the western media, who portray al Qaeda as a third world protest movement that is immune from any of the emotional attachments that usually accompany devestating losses on the battlefield.
The New York Times, ABC, and any of a number of media outlets would just assume you believe that (1) killing terrorists is pointless because an unlimited pool of reserve terrorists will take their place, (2) poor morale never affects al Qaeda and their operatives will continue the fight at the same level, regardless of how badly they are being defeated, (3) only the deaths of US soldiers are met with grieving and a sense of loss, and have a profound impact on the perceptions people hold towards future fighting.
In the end, Iraq will be al Qaeda's greatest defeat yet, on a number of levels (ie. perception in the Arab world) that extends beyond just the strategic battlefield losses of manpower and resources.
Well, aside from the afact that I can't translate the "Arabic" at http://www.aekhlaas.net/forum/showthread.php?t=146840, how come no one else is reporting this? No, not your dreaded "msm," but NEFA, IPT and similar others.
