Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused the United States and its allies of plotting to assassinate him during a visit to neighboring Iraq in March.
Iraqi news service Aswat Al-Iraq reported:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed that he was in possession of documented information about an attempt by "enemies" to kidnap and assassinate him during a visit he had paid to Iraq early last March.Let's hope the US presses the Iranians to see "the documented information" in question.
"I've refused during my visit to Iraq to reside in the U.S.-protected green zone," Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Ahmadinejad as saying on Thursday evening.
"The enemies have planned to kidnap and assassinate me but thank God I've changed my visit schedule, and when they have found out I had been already out of Iraq," said the Iranian president.
Ahmadinejad had arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad in early March for a two-day visit, the first ever by an Iranian president since the outbreak of the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. He met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
What is this? Rule #8 in the terrosist playbook? Poor me. My enemies tried to assassinate me. Everyone should now be on my side. Too bad they failed. If it happened at all.

We missed you this time Ahmadinehad, but we managed to sneak that RFID chip into your brain, so we'll get you next time. Mwahahaa.
ReplyDeleteAll of this will change after the messiah becomes President. Instead of trying to assassinate this fuck Obama will simply devise some ingenious way of reasoning with him and then we'll have heaven on earth.
