Michael Moore's minutemen are getting younger and younger...

Al-Qaeda has turned to brainwashed children under the age of 16 to carry out suicide attacks against the people in Iraq.
AKI and ROP reported:
An al-Qaeda cell composed of children under the age of 16, known as "Children of Paradise", is believed to be responsible for a growing number of attacks in Iraq.Flopping Aces has more on the children of Al-Qaeda.
Statistics from Sunni militias loyal to the government estimate 60 recent attacks have been carried out by these young people who have been brain-washed by al-Qaeda terrorists based in villages along the Tigris River.
According to sources from the Awakening Council or US-backed Sunni tribal militias, quoted in the Arab newspaper al-Hayat, the group of aspiring suicide bombers are extending their range and have moved into the area of Tarimiya, north of Baghdad.
They are also reportedly operating in other areas in the Sunni province of Diyala and in the eastern part of the capital.
The Iraqi army has noted a rise in attacks carried out by children or women from 2007 to 2008.
In the last year they are believed to have carried out at least 16 suicide attacks and 200 other bomb attacks.

This chillingly reminds me of how Hitler used children as cannon fodder, too ... just before he was defeated.
ReplyDeleteThis is a measure of both the depravity ... and the desperation ... of AQI. This tactic is a hallmark of losers about to be defeated ... yet refuse to accept that reality, and are willing to intentionally sacrifice innocent blood as a tactical move instead.

ReplyDeletewe've heard (and seen film clips) about this before.. AQ must give them an option.. serve or be served (amongst tales from Iraqi citizens, AQ has baked sons & served them to parents as a means of acquiring their loyalty, typical of an AQ et al tactic, *sigh*)..

Let's pray this is the end for them and that this waste of youth will cease. You would think the mothers of these children would step in?

related story excerpt :)
[Around 150 children spilled out of the jail after the gates were opened as a US military Humvee vehicle approached, Lieutenant Colonel Fred Padilla told an AFP correspondent travelling with the Marines 5th Regiment.
"Hundreds of kids were swarming us and kissing us," Padilla said.
"There were parents running up, so happy to have their kids back."
"The children had been imprisoned because they had not joined the youth branch of the Baath party," he alleged. "Some of these kids had been in there for five years."
The children, who were wearing threadbare clothes and looked under-nourished, walked on the streets crossing their hands as if to mimic handcuffs, before giving the thumbs up sign and shouting their thanks.]
Country Reports on Human Rights Practices
February 23, 2001
excerpt:
[For the seventh year, the Government held 3- week training courses in weapons use, hand- to- hand fighting, rappelling from helicopters, and infantry tactics for children between 10 and 15 years of age. Camps for these "Saddam Cubs" operated throughout the country. Senior military officers who supervised the course noted that the children held up under the "physical and psychological strain" of training that lasted for as long as 14 hours each day.]
unfortunately Armies of children, nothing new.. :(

ReplyDeletePadre Steve,
yes, one would expect mothers to defend their children under any circumstances.. but that is how civilized people who have lived free all of their lives tend to think (not that there's anything wrong with that)..
however, sometimes even mothers who have lived free all of their lives do not step in to rescue their children.. but there's still a huge difference imho, as they more or less have freedom of "choice"..
Iraqis had literally been living in hell for over 30 years.. Saddam et al also tortured, maimed, raped & slaughtered thousands of Iraqi child as well as millions of adults, not to mention recruiting them into his army, something i think we forget all too easily not having to experience anything even close ('there but for the Grace of God')..
well, not yet anyways, but they're still working on it much harder than at least half of US are working against them.. :(

I am surprised there hasn't been an internal uprising against AQ for doing such a thing.
ReplyDeleteIf anything, they don't even realize they seal the fate of their own kind to extinction.

ReplyDeleteDaniel @ 8:03 PM..
well i'm surprised you don't know there has been & is an internal uprising going on for over a year now.. it began when Sheikh Sattar, who was unfortunately assassinated, organized the Awakening Council in Anbar Province & has spread throughout Iraq..
take a gander through these (new stories & filmed reports every day) and learn how well the progress in Iraq is going.. (thumbsup)

ie: Improved Iraqi Security Leads to Reconstruction, Jobs
excerpt:
[Electricity, water, cleaning, infrastructure restoration, and humanitarian aid projects are under way in Sadr City, said Tahseen al-Sheikhly, a civilian spokesman for Operation Fardh al-Qanoon, also known as the Baghdad Security Plan. These projects will help eliminate unemployment for Baghdad citizens, which is the cause of much of the violence in the city, Sheikhly said.
Now that security has been achieved, he added, the challenge is to provide the best services to the citizens, thereby raising the living and economic standards and infrastructure.
The Ministry of Electricity already has replaced light poles and restored power to the Sadr City hospital, he said. Officials also are establishing a solar power system in an effort to minimize future outages and continue growing employment opportunities.]
