Barack Obama received the surprising honor last month from Men's Health magazine.
He's still burning the fags.
The Political Ticker at ABC News reported:
ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: Senator Barack Obama told reporters in St. Louis today that he has fallen off the wagon and smoked cigarettes in the last few months.Last month Men's Fitness honored Barack Obama for being one of America's top 25 fittest males.
The presumptive Democratic nominee has been open about his smoking past: Once a heavy smoker, he publicly gave up the habit, per his wife’s request, to run for president.
Since quitting, Obama has indicated in the past that he has “fallen off the wagon” but before today was not specific about how recent his smoking was.
“Months,” Obama said of the last time he has smoked.
Obama regularly chews Nicorette while not at campaign events, and the recent release of a doctor's note from his primary care physician indicated that it has brought him a level of success.
Meanwhile, Senator John McCain is planning on hiking the Grand Canyon again this summer-- "North Rim to the South Rim. Thirty miles, two days in 115-degree heat... and carrying a backpack as well" --with his two sons, Jack and Jimmy.
Don Surber thinks Obama is hiding something.
Obama lied, the Marlboro Man died!
ReplyDeleteFunny how he's always afflicted with amnesia when he's caught in a lie.
I have done that hike and can tell you right now that the only way Obama would make it down to the bottom of the Canyon is on a donkey.
ReplyDeleteThat is one hike metrosexuals should not even think about attempting.
You know I have seen "intelligent and educated" guys like Obama go out and try to do the back country hiking thang. I have seen 'em after they have been dead for 3 days. It ain't pretty. They do not know the terrain, they do not understand hiking in a desert environment. They seem to think that Mother Nature is some kindly goddess when in actuality she is a very harsh mistress who doesn't suffer arrogant fools lightly.
These idjits go out with their zillion dollar moisture wicking "hiking outfits", walking sticks and brand new boots. They carry maybe 2 liters of water in their "hydration systems" and some trail mix. They carry no first aid or survival gear-their iPod is much more important. They tell no one where they are going and they leave no notes in their car-after all, what can happen on a little afternoon hike? They think that their hand held GPS is enough and they think that if they get in trouble they can just call someone on their cell phones.
When they break their ankle falling down a ravine that wasn't marked on their GPS they soon find out that their cell phone can't hit a cell phone tower. As the sun is going down they soon realize that despite all their "education and intelligence" they more then likely are going to die.
So what's the Messiah going to do about all of those federal taxes and regs on his little vice there?
ReplyDeletethat time of year, it is 115 degrees (maybe) in Phoenix, not at the Grand Canyon, its at about 30 degrees cooler there.....sounded good though.
ReplyDeleteB.O should try chewing smokeless tobacco, Skoal or something. Then maybe his mouth would too full for him to make his idiotic statements.
ReplyDeleteI knew it. There's a half truth in there. He's been smoking alright.
ReplyDeleteLooking at Obama the last few days you could sense the fatigue thru his facial expressions, plus his inability to speak coherantly at times in answering simple questions. The stress is getting to him, attacking Joseph Lieberman the way he did, paranoia creeping in. Something is wrong him and though it is undoubtedly wild speculation, he may be doing something else besides smoking. Could be diet pills or anything that may substitue for his past drug usage.
I'd like to know if he has ever been prescribed medication for ADD, or Depression. Has he released his full medical records going back to the days of his drug use?
The fact he needs nicorette shows weakness imo. I quit cold turkey after smoking 25 years. It was part of my spiritual decision. I did not need a phoney "spiritual advisor" like Wright to guide me. You remember moments of critical decisions in your life like this. He has yet to truly make the critical choice to stop. His dependency on nicotine is a sure sign he is a wimp as a man and will be as a leader if he cannot whip addiction to smoking.
People who suffer addictions of any kind are often very good liars. It can take a lifetime to admit they have a problem in the first place. And they get so good at telling lies to cover up for their addictions, they themselves do not realize doing anything wrong. The justification for lying becomes part of the abusive cycle. It becomes pathological. Much of this is evident in his lies, exaggerations and concealment of truth thru his autobiography, plus his outright lies about 20 years in a church of hatred. It also explains much about his two-faced pointing of fingers, holier than thou rants, demonizing of others that do hard work for our country and the refusal to recognize the log in his own eye when hiring essentially crooks to vet his VP.
Yes, he may want to do good. But he can't even clean up his own life. And yet he demonizes others.
I do not think he can be trusted to take over the daily duties of Commander in Chief. It is one thing to be a Senator from Southside Chi-town where the crony pupppet making machine mastered him into a Senate posistion. But he has failed in that endeavor, leaving behind his duties as Senator and Committee Chair. Instead striking out for his ultimate grab of power, with blessing of puppet Masters Axlerod and Chi-town crew.
Yet another position he LIED about to the public stating he would NOT run for President. Stating he needed more time to get experience as a first year Senator. It was an adamant, concise and clear statement at the time. Something an addict is good at doing, fooling everyone around them. But all along knowing in the back of his mind he would run.
He's showing signs of flailing now in public and it will only get worse as time goes by. His mini-me sermonettes, while poetical and clever, learning for 20 years how to imitate his minister may work for the Soutside. It may inspire at first with the use of his voice thundering over loud speakers. Afterall, he says, he will, "heal the planet" but there are no guts, no nuts and bolts, only bravado of a man with a great imagination, spurred on by years of drug use no doubt. Cocaine can give you that moment of self-adoration. That all in the world is good and you can be its savior in tune with the earths vibes. Being in front of large audiences likewise strokes the ego, releases seratonin and dopamine to create that feeling of authentic bliss recreating the cocaine high. He is addicted to this attention and adulation as it releases the chemical reactions in his brain. The feel good moments he so much desires to believe about himself as a false messiah. It allows him to leave his confused past behind and the dreams of his drunken, irresponsible, bigamist father are left in a book that he closes. As another chapter in his life still unresolved, he seeks yet another high to self medicate.
He'll get angrier over the summer and stories will start swirling of staff receiving his anger and wrath for minor things. He is not ready for prime time. The media will grow more fierce and he will eventually have a huge blow out. Like a volcano he'll spew either behind the scences or for all of us to see.
My Uncle served in the Navy. He is one tough nut to crack, very disciplined in life and older than McCain. This is what the armed forces does for many people that serve. It instills in them a tenacity and discipline to serve without complaint. Strong man, strong family, never once did I hear him complain about anything in life.
He's been to Saudi Arabia too, so I guess that qualifies him to run for office like the false messiah? LOL.
