Scott McClellan knew exactly what he was doing when he released his book against his former friend, President Bush.
Tonight he stepped into the No Spin Zone and Bill O'Reilly gave him exactly what any traitor in his shoes deserves.
This was not one of the typical fluff interviews that he was getting from the rest of the Bush-haters in the media:
(1 minute 39 seconds)
Closing Observation: If Scott McClellan could have done as well with the White House Press Corps as he did with Bill O'Reilly he would have been an effective White House Press Secretary.
Unfortunately, that was never the case.
NewsBusters is reporting that Scott McClellan originally planned to attack the liberal media and defend Bush.
UPDATE: Peter Wehner at Commentary Magazine has more on McClellan's not so convincing shtick on the Bush Administration.
hahahahahaha- bill is hilarious. he hates to let a thing like facts get in his way. he gets all worked up about leftist news outlets using scott for anti bush propoganda meanwhile he uses dick morris weekly for his warped world views. i wonder if bill is still harassing women for phone sex?
ReplyDeleteSkewered? What are you smoking? Bill O'Reilly came at Scott McClellan with nothing but anger and stupidity, and, amazingly, Scott McClellan laid his case succinctly and devastatingly.
ReplyDeleteWhat he said, was what many Americans were trying to bring up, but were called traitors. I am glad that Bill O'Reilly got skewered during this interview, because his naive questions were all a disguise to his real point: you made Bush look bad. That's some intelligent thinking, there, and what Scott McClellan did was turn Mr. No Spin on his axis. It was great television, and a cathartic interview. I hope many of Bush's blustering supporters, who relied on shouting out their critics, take this moment to reflect and internalize the very basic message: You were wrong., and you were used. There's going to be no more of this bullying towards dissenters, come this November, because the chickens will come home to roost.
anonymous -as a woman i am totally repulsed by your reference to bill oreilly and phone sex. i am trying to enjoy my veal cutlets and i just threw them up. bill is one nasty looking human being
ReplyDeleterita
ReplyDeleteGirl I totally agree with you. That Bill Oreilly is the ugliest man I have ever seen. I hope he paid that girl millions because I feel like suing Bill just for me thinking about Bill and phone sex.
I must assume that you LIBTARDS are drooling Mtn Dew main liners.
ReplyDeleteScott McClellan is a fairy boat.
You LIBTARDS never had your TURGID LOINS in a TIZZY for him, until McClellan pissed on himself for Cash.
Now you are "engorged" by his mere presence.
Not even a LIBTARD is THAT STUPID.
But LIBTARDS are THAT....vaccuous.
What amuses me about the LIGHTWEIGHT LEFTOID LIBTARDS, is that you FRUITCAKES are WILD EYED MOON BAT CRAZIES. You'd eat your own young. And sometimes do.
That is all.
The previous poster was Bill O'Reilly.

ReplyDeleteScott McClellan Originally Planned to Attack Media, Defend Bush
[Although today his book is being touted by left-wing reporters and pundits, his initial plans for the project show former White House press secretary Scott McClellan intended to take a much different approach, one that was more sympathetic to President Bush but also quite hard on the "liberal elites" of the Washington press corps and their "hostility" toward the administration.]
Scott's just another typical lying knife in the back twisted sista waif looking for the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow..
but not to worry, his book will be debunked over time.. just like all the rest of the "loyal patriotic" authors since George Washington..
but eh, not surprised.. whatever Soros wants, Soros gets.. afterall, albeit of puppeteers, he does consider himself to be a living god.. unfortunately, he also has enough money to act out the part..
[According to McClellan, America's elite journalists have a dramatic problem with political diversity which in turn leads them to skew the political debate in a leftward direction. The media are in a "constant state of denial" when it comes to admitting this.]
hmm, also see he included his newest supporters.. odd they didn't report that little tidbit, NOT..

ReplyDeletelibocrat @ 8:42 PM..
ignore the BDS sufferers.. BDS not only stands for Bush Derangement Syndrome, but Bill Derangement Syndrome as well.. and i don't even like him.. however, i'm not as willing to toss my mental health off a cliff for anyone..

It is hilarious to see how libs are loving Scott Mclellan now. Ravi, you are sorely misguided and a card-carrying BDS lib if I ever saw one. Scott looked like Elmer Fud trying to respond to the very legit points Bill raised in this interview. What were you watching? Oh, I know, you were wearing those jack-ass tinted glasses. Like Bill has said, there is nothing new in this book and yet it is being touted as some wild new revelation. Ravi, to be taken seriously in any part of this country it would be wise to avoid quoting a completely deranged man like Rev. Wright. Just little parting advice for ya.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hijack the topic, but have you heard about how Paypal is treating the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some families are sending prepaid Mastercards and Visas so soldiers and Marines can order stuff on-line like good cotton socks, books, subscriptions to music services, etc. Just simple stuff to make life a little easier. When the merchants refers their purchase over to Paypal they're forced to sign up of course. The problem is that Paypal frequently says they will not process the transaction citing some nonsense about company policy. Strange since once in a while a transaction with one of these cards goes through. Other times they freeze a portion of the cards value without forwarding payment to the merchant - this screws up the cards balance of course. The costumer service folks seating in their nice air conditioned office is either not respond to those risking their lives in Iraq/Afghanistan or to write back some rude note that basically says tough luck. Most of these prepaid credit cards are non-refundable so the families and soldiers are shafted.
ReplyDeleteThank you rita and cynthia for basically making women look totally insipid and irrelevant by your comments.
ReplyDeleteGot anything to comment about besides Bill's looks?
I only saw part of the interview but from what I saw, O'Reilly did a pretty good job. I'm not the biggest Bill fan but at least he conducted an interview instead of a fluff, book promotion piece.
I think the most important attribute of the left must be attention deficit disorder. If one can call it an attribute. Not so long ago they hated Scotty. Not so long ago Richard Armitage was exposed as the real leaker of Plame's identity {as if anyone cared}. Not so long ago Bill Clinton and his entire administration based their policy toward Iraq on the notion that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and he was a threat to the world and his own people. No one burned any flags or called the man a liar {over Saddam and his wmd anyway}. Not so long ago Bush gave numerous speeches outlining several reasons for removing Saddam from power, wmd being only one.
ReplyDeleteNow we have an obviously untrustworthy and opportunistic little turncoat feeding the lefties a predictable line of crap in the hopes they will buy his book and make him some money...and all of a sudden he is a paragon of virtue.
I think Bill is a blowhard. He is not someone I make it a habit to watch, but I think McClellan is a conman and a bullshit artist and I just don't believe a word he says.
I am in no way a fan of McClellan because he wrote this book. Indeed, he seems more snake than hero. But how the sides react is quite telling.
ReplyDeleteThe right screams "So what" while the left screams "We told you so". NOt the point, is it? Unfortunately for Bush, and the right, the real story is NOT that we found out anything new or shcoking, but that it is being told by an insider who was there when this all went down, and even before that (McC came with GWB fron Texas.)
Objectively speaking, I thought McClellan held his own against O'Reilly's typical "I'm right, you're wrong, and I don't care to hear your responses" interview. I thought it interesting when McClellan briefly mentioned nuclear weapons, O'Reilly stated (I am paraphrasing) he wanted to talk about WMDs!! Since when is a nuclear weapon NOT a WMD???
the most recent person to call himself or herself anonymous:
ReplyDeleteNo, McClellan was not there when all this went down. He became Press Secretary 3 months after the invasion. Even then he was not included in any policy decisions because he was not an insider or a cabinet member. He was an employee.
If you really want to read a book written by an insider, try War and Decision by Douglas Feith. He was part of the administration and his books includes facts, documentation, and independent sourcing. None of which can be found in McClellan's piece of crap.
and the reference to weapons is not hard to understand for someone who had actually been paying attention. The Bush administration never claimed that Saddam had a nuke. They did claim he was hiding wmd as had been specified by the UN weapons inspectors. So the reference to Saddam's weapons had to do with the more than decade stalemate with UN weapons inspectors.
ReplyDeleteHEY Cynthia and Rita:
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. Bill is one ugly individual. He puts the "UG" in "UGLY". As for Tass- please shut up and learn the words you are trying to use before using them. Insipid and irrelevant--wtf. Shallow and superficial--definately but not insipid and irrelevant. dumb azz. lol.

"Bill O' Reilly Skewers 'Naive' Scott McClellan?" Are you for real?
ReplyDeleteThis clip is only 90 seconds from a thirty-minute interview, and in this clip, McClellan isn't doing any of the talking. This clip of Bill attacking McClellan could mean anything; it certainly is not an accurate depiction of the whole interview! It's just supposed to get some viewers to rally against McClellan so that they don't have to hear what McClellan came to say (and certainly so that they don't have to read his book) so that they can ignorantly justify their partisan bias. The clip makes O'Reilly look like he's prosecuting McClellan--the clip doesn't speak for the whole interview.
The clip is edited so that people will only get from it that Bill O'Reilly is attacking McClellan so that we can all know where O'Reilly stands and how everyone who watches O'Reilly in this interview can ignore everything McClellan says as though O'Reilly were "socking it to McClellan" to justify their partisan denial. The clip only begs for more partisan hatreds. It isn't accurate for the whole of the point. It's designed just to make people pissed off at McClellan if you're a party-line, conservative Republican.
