This is a photo of a coin that a U.S. Marine distributed at a checkpoint controlling access to the city,of Fallujah, Iraq, taken on Friday, May 30,2008. One side of the coin reads in Arabic 'Where will you spend eternity?' and the the other side, 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.'.
Sunni officials and residents said a US Marine distributed about 10 of the coins to civilians. The U.S. military responded quickly to the incident, first reported by McClatchy Newspapers, removing a Marine from duty pending an investigation. Distribution of the coins was the second perceived insult to Islam by American service members this month. (AP)
On Wednesday, Chris Rodda wrote a scathing article about this incidentat the Far Left Huffington Post writer. In his report and comments Chris railed against the military and Christians and even claimed that Christian comic books can traumatize children:
And these Christian comic books they give out can traumatize Iraqi children. There have been some reports of this that seem very credible. The comics generally start with something like a bombing in which Muslims are killed, and end with the message that any Muslim who has died without converting to Christianity and being saved by Jesus is now burning in hell. Just think of what this does to an Iraqi kid whose Muslim friends and family members have just been killed.Persecution Blog has much more on this latest Far Left attack against Christianity and the military.
One comic book from Chick Publications not only depicts Mohammed, but shows him kneeling down in the fires of hell saying that Jesus is Lord.
An American soldier passes out ten Jesus coins, and liberals empty their bowels in horror.
ReplyDeleteOur enemies behead hostages, skin the faces off children, rape little girls, gut and dress humans like deer, bomb market places, hack teachers and secular politicians to death, and liberals have no comment.
Well, that's not quite true. Plenty of liberals express support for our enemies.
Figure that one out.
Well said, Tom.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, liberals have made America, Christians, the military and conservatives the enemy.
This explains thier silence on the atrocities you mentioned.
Oh, my. Tom W. did hit the nail on the head with his comment.
ReplyDeleteI do want to say this, though: I have seen some of those religious comics, and if the ones they are talking about are like the ones I've seen . . . well, the "artwork" in those really ARE scary.
"Jack Chick Looks Reasonable" type scary?
ReplyDeleteSo much for diversity of religion in Iraq - did any Christians return to Iraq yet?

I'm against the occupation of Iraq, but I'm all for Christian soldiers handing out Christian literature to the Iraqi people.
