Newsweek, the former news magazine, quoted an Obama staffer on the private conversation Democratic nominee Barack Obama had with Senator Joe Lieberman on the senate floor last week:
In a brief but animated Senate floor confrontation last week, according to a campaign aide who asked for anonymity when talking about private discussions, Obama told Lieberman he was surprised by Lieberman’s personal attacks and his half-hearted denials of the false rumors that Obama is a Muslim. (The aide says Lieberman was “strangely muted” during the exchange; a Lieberman spokesman says the chat was “private and friendly.”)Mark Hemingway at National Review Online called Senator Lieberman's office to get more information on the confrontation and found out it was bogus:
So a call to Joe Lieberman’s office was in order. Since Newsweek didn’t make it, National Review Online did. Actual Lieberman spokesman Marshall Wittmann says, “The anonymous Obama campaign staffer’s characterization of the private conversation was entirely false and fabricated.” Another Lieberman aide confirmed, “I was not told that the Obama campaign was selectively leaking the contents of that conversation, or I would have made it clear that that characterization was completely and utterly false. The first time I knew what the Obama campaign was saying was when I saw it in a magazine.” That Newsweek did not ask Lieberman to respond to the specific charges is grossly unfair.If the Obama folks really want to gain the confidence of Jewish voters they could do a number of things including canning a few more anti-Israel advisors and explaining Obama's close relationship with a former PLO operative.
But, attacking Jewish Senator Joe Lieberman with lies that he was spreading a Muslim rumor about Obama is not one of them.

His behavior is quite common, typical paranoia of a drug user as well, or of someone who is "unhinged." He decides to confront someone else not responsible for his own problems in life even at cost to his candidacy. This is the continued victimization fraud that he espouses for himself and his followers.
He will probably spout off many other paranoid statements as the campaign gets heated. The Vicodin or whatever he may be takin ain't helpin. He's been a baby in a nursery care center so far, having his path silky lined with rose petals on the ground so he may walk as a false savior to his people that blindly worship him.
Althought his "aides" are only "tangential" to Obama's success and do not "work" for him, their "performance" is indicative of his stands for now, until he throws them all under the bus.

ReplyDeleteWell, if someone asks him, it's up to him at least to provide an honest answer. If he knows Obama is not a Muslim, then it is dishonest of him to say anything else.
And if he associates his name with a campaign or an event, he should make sure that it isn't spreading false information about Obama.
Without the context, it's impossible to determine whether the Obama campaign has a legitimate beef with Lieberman. Poor reporting by Newsweek in not providing us with the context.

For what it's worth, if you listen to the entire answer in context, it's obvious that Obama is referring to the status quo in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its lack of resolution as a "constant wound" and a "constant sore" in our foreign policy.

I don't know. Where is the evidence that Obama claimed he did? It's all based on one anonymous quote.
It's poor reporting by Newsweek not to follow up on that question. Obama confronted Lieberman directly on this if you believe Newsweek, and for all we know, he provided such evidence to Lieberman when he confronted him. There is no evidence it was intended to become a public spat.

That is why it did not matter to Marxist seeker and Communist approval seeker Obama to simultaneously seek the Communist New Party and sit in a church of hatred for 20 years. There is no soul in Obama, at least not any with light in it.
This is why it is a "sore" to both Zbigniew and to Obama. Israel in fact does get in his way. He has to cowtow to the Israeli AIPAC for a moment in his life. He hates it afterall just like his Jew hating, white hating racist minister Dave.
If you cannot fathom this, cannot get a grip as to why he sit for 20 years at such a place. As to why he entertained the Nation of Islam and anti-semite Farrackhan, then there is no amount of talking to you or reasonable discussion that will open your eyes.
But his eyes are opened on the other hand while he does dinner with a terrorist supporter.

Yes, I think for this time in history he would be the worst person in the world to be our President. That is my opinion. Go vote for the Marist. The great thing about America is you actually were given that opportunity by a bunch of Christians Founders and some Deist. Who resepected Judeo-Christian values, not some Marx rejection of God.
So Dave. Are you an atheist? Agnostic? Or a believer? Do you believe Israel has no rightful claim to Jerusalem? Or should it be divided into an international city? Do you believe as does Marxist believer Zbigniew, that Hamas should be recognized and openly discussed?
Frankly it is hard to determine where OBama stands because he wobbles like weebles depending upon whatever special interest he is seeking votes from. Islam and Judeo-Christianity are the same to him. There is absolutely no difference. Just like his former Muslim, Marxist minister Wright.
He can shuffle any place to get votes. We will never know the truth of what he stands for until he takes office.

I posted this morning about this subject over a Hot Air. I'm pasting that comment below.
Remember a couple months ago when some contractors employed by the state dept. were caught playing “go fish” in Obama, Clinton and McCain’s passport records? You remember that these contractors are in the employ of one of Obama’s biggest supporters.
Now ask yourself why would someone want to go digging around in them? In the case of Clinton and McCain they have both held the maroon government official passports and their travels overseas have been public record over the decades. There is no “there” there with those records.
There is with Obama’s.
Under Kenyan law Obama is automatically considered a Kenyan citizen because of his father. He would have had to officially renounce that citizenship to the Kenyan government in order for him not to be a citizen anymore.
What does this have to do with employees of one of Obama’s supporters spelunking his passport records you ask?
Obama has made trips to Kenya. How much you want to bet those records show that there is no record of Obama leaving the country using his US passport but only records of him coming back. Meaning he used a Kenyan passport to leave the US. *edit: Obama knows that if it were discovered that he carries dual citizenship that would make him ineligible to be president. Game over. So any traces of him being one would have to be covered up.
I am well familiar with this kind of thing. My ex holds dual citizenship. He has both British and Canadian citizenship. When we would make our annual trips to the UK he would use his British passport to leave the US and enter the UK and his Canadian one to leave Britain and enter the US to avoid hassles with immigration. On the UK side he would zip through immigration while I would have to wait in line for 30-45 minutes, this gave him time to get the rental car and such so we could leave soon as I got out. On the way back he would need no visa because he was using his Canadian passport to enter the US.

Over the slow news Memorial Day weekend the Chicago Sun-Times reported a story that is perhaps the most disgraceful example of shameless looting by one of Obama’s former colleagues and current “volunteers.” State Senator Carol Ronen served with Obama.

How did Ronen work her scam? Simple. “It’s legal.” The cesspool of Illinois politics is structured to allow part-time public officials such as state legislators to loot the bankrupt public treasury for “retirement benefits.”
As a part-time legislator, Ronen accrued an annual retirement benefit of $64,000 annually. Simply by being listed on the governor’s payroll for over 30 days—and there is no showing that Ronen actually did anything during that period—she jumped her lifetime pension from $64,000 to $102,000.
This scam is morally and legally outrageous. For someone to collect $1 million in lifetime benefits for being listed as a ghost employee for a month is nothing more and nothing less than stealing from the taxpayers.
Ronen is now working for Barack Obama and, no doubt, planning new scams to enrich herself if Obama is elected.
And they wonder why Americans think of Illinois as a bottomless cesspool of political greed and contempt for the citizens of this state.
I will have more to say about this naked theft in the days ahead. Ronen should not be allowed to get away with this theft of public property, which is now being paid for by Illinois’ impoverished taxpayers.

however, what most disturbs me is his connection to Indonesia (of which the school listed him as a citizen of Indonesia, religion Islam.. his Mother traveled extensively & worked on a development project in Pakistan for a bit in 1986)..
