Oops!... Radical Islamists Say Christians Were Kidnapped By Mistake

The radical Islamist militia Lashkar-e-Islam said that they had kidnapped the 20 Christians by mistake.
They regretted the inconvenience.
The Daily Times reported:

The Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) militia of tribal warlord Mangal Bagh has said it released all the Christians kidnapped unconditionally and that their kidnapping from Academy Town, Peshawar on Saturday night, was the result of a misunderstanding.

LI Bara ameer Haji Abdul Karim Afridi told reporters on Monday that the organisation regretted its actions. An informer had told their organisation that the people assembled in the house were engaged in ‘vulgarity’ following which immediate action was taken against them but without the consent of an LI shura.

Most likely that the police tracked them down, and they decided to go into "this was a mistake" mode.

  2. Just wondering, what was the understanding they were operating under that made kidnapping 29 people a "misunderstanding?"

So sorry about that kidnapping business, old boy. Damn shame I had to shoot your brother, but it couldn't be helped--escape risk and all that rot, you know. So sad, but no hard feelings, eh? We'll have drinks at my club and have a good laugh about it. Haw, haw, haw!!! Right then. Achmed, bring up the Rolls and we're off!
