The New York Times again released sensitive information against the wishes of the US government.
However, this time by releasing the name of the CIA interrogator in their article on the interrogation of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed the Times has put the interrogator and his family in grave danger.
Here is the excuse used by the New York Times for disclosing this agents name for no apparent reason.
The Central Intelligence Agency asked The New York Times not to publish the name of Deuce Martinez, an interrogator who questioned Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other high-level Al Qaeda prisoners, saying that to identify Mr. Martinez would invade his privacy and put him at risk of retaliation from terrorists or harassment from critics of the agency.HotAir has more on this dangerous and irresponsible move by the NY Times.
After discussion with agency officials and a lawyer for Mr. Martinez, the newspaper declined the request, noting that Mr. Martinez had never worked under cover and that others involved in the campaign against Al Qaeda have been named in news stories and books. The editors judged that the name was necessary for the credibility and completeness of the article.
The Times’s policy is to withhold the name of a news subject only very rarely, most often in the case of victims of sexual assault or intelligence officers operating under cover.

to make sure other interrogators at cia (and elsewhere) know that they might become exposed one day, and make them less likely to volunteer for this, and therefore to make it less likely the cia will use harsh interrogation techniques.
the nytimes doesn't want the usa to use harsh interrogation techniques and leaking the name(s) of interrogators advances their agenda.
too bad for us:
it makes us less safe.
They withhold the names of sources all the time, especially sources who support or advance their agenda and undermine the government's. There is far less justification for that than there would have been for this.

As members of a profession that relies heavily on the willingness of government officials to defy their bosses and give the public vital information, we oppose "leak investigations" in principle. But that does not mean there can never be a circumstance in which leaks are wrong — the disclosure of troop movements in wartime is a clear example.

Here is the other link that looks very closely at graphics verses laser printing and fonts to another certificate.

I like the comparison on NoQuarters site that BG linked, which I think was provided by the Freepers at first. You'll instantly notice the differences between them without even looking closer.
I have 15 years in laser printing and publishing, utilizing all forms of graphics software and hardware. What the above link points out regarding graphic programs, printing, pre-print, etc., is correct. He has done a good job in pointing out the obvious problems.
This most likely has been photoshopped, or I'd bet Appled by another graphics program and done badly.
One of the dead give aways imo, is all text being produced by the same graphic program, instead of laser printed fonts.
In my experience, the only time anyone ever created an entire official document from scratch they were cheating or creating false documents.
The government is very careful to put at least some official policies together for authentification thru pre-printed certificates. This is what is blowing away this birth certificate.
In my opinion, something is very strange in Obama birth land. This would explain DailyKos doing the delivery I think.
Are we being bamboozled? For what reason of the birth record? I do think now, Obama is hiding something and I want to know what it is. Even if it is something like single parent, or his name.
Now that he's played this game, he'll have to pay the piper.

I would bet that on the real birth certificate the fathers race was not African but Arab. I read somewhere that his family said they are Arab not African. They were quite vehement about it. And there should be a place for religion of both mother and father. I'll bet both said Islam. To marry two muslims she had to be a convert. This would show Obama up for the liar he is and this is why he will not release his birth certificate.
