Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel said he'd consider an offer to serve as Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's running mate, if asked.
But the Nebraska lawmaker told The Associated Press he and Obama have differences. He said whoever the next president is, he will "have to bring this country together."
Hagel has expressed vocal criticism of the Bush administration since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
On a visit to Kurdish Iraq in 2002 Senator Chuck Hagel assured the Kurds that the United States, which patrols the skies above the Kurdish areas, would not forget them in planning for a government after Saddam. Hagel said:
"The most challenging phase will likely be the day after -- or, more accurately, the decade after -- Saddam Hussein... The coalition forces will remain in large numbers to stabilize Iraq and support a civilian administration. That presence will be necessary for several years."Unfortunately, Hagel voted against funding the war in 2007, not quite a decade after the invasion.
I'm still thinking that Obama-McCain should be the ticket...

Our future male leaders are being taught feminist, marxist, transgenderism, and how to be wimps values, but never ever how to be a real man.
The break down of families insure chaos eventually in every successful nation. Hagel is willing to crossover seeking temporary solutions to long term problems.

It is not Obama, Hagel, McCain, Soros, Murdoch, or Bush. The best we can do as free men is to limit government from having to much power.
Obama would make us slaves to his vision. McCain to a less toxic vision.
We can fight back for the rights given to us by the Founding Fathers of this Nation, that believed in extremely limited government. We can demand the very rights our Founding Fathers gave us if we rise up together. Local School authority controlled by the parents, not federal. Taxes stay home, not funneled to some socialist or pork barrel politicians. Like ACORN racist or Murtha hatred of our troops today.
Today, to many sheep follow a corrupt media like The View or any number of idiots on TV. We can begin by fighting back, just like Jim is doing now.
And by starting our own film studios, educational systems, tv systems, radio, publishing, etc. So many already have, but we are fighting upstream now against over 40 years of far left liberal muckraking, mocking, scoffing and planned efforts to rid this nation of Judeo-Christian religion that the atheist and far left hate.
We have to turn off the corrupt voices of the air so that children have a chance in life to develop without corrupt input of words and false ideas. And turn them off to hurt their wallets so they do not benefit from our money to push forward their warped anti-Christ ideas at the cost of our own freedoms.
We've always been a free nation, but like Europe, Canada, our nation is drifting toward liberal fascism and Marxist socialism.
It will take a nationwide effort of organizing, campaigning and fighting to rid ourselves of the burden of taxes that our federal governmnet never had the right to in the first place and in fact use against us now in many ways without us even knowing about it, feeding corrupt, atheist, marxist, and socialist policies.
It has exceeded its role as a benevolent government Of The People, By the People and has turned into a beast out of control.
