Obama Website Implicated In Misleading Public With Bogus Document

Woah!
Isreal Insider reported:

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fake Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same Daily Kos blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the diligent detective work of independent investigative journalists (led by JimJ and Texas Darling) and imaging professionals such as Polarik in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate The Daily Kos, a "progressive" blog site, and the Obama campaign's "Fight the Smears" website, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance. Moreover, the blog and the campaign have been negligent in allowing the promotion of obviously forged and fake official documents together with the purported image of Obama's birth certificate.
So, what is the Obama Campaign hiding?
And, why are they promoting these forged documents?

I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, but this dropping on July 4th was probably not the best timing, especially with a media that has done their level best to ignore any and all items, issues, etc. that could, in any way, reflect destructively on BHO.

I was doing some pajamas blogging late last night and sketched this out. I posted on the LGF overnight dead thread for comments - anyone want to look beyond the actually fake documents.

Israel Insider, Texas Darling, and Polarik seem to have destroyed any credibility that the image on the "Fight the Smears" website is derived from a genuine BHO COLB.

Since electronic images of a Hawaii COLB, regardless of provenance, are not valid identity documents, how do we go about finding a valid source document or a reference to one that predates the controversy, without the personal action of BHO?

    1. Previously Presented?

Since the MSM is again failing to do their job, other then Jim Geraghty at NRO, we need to build a biographical list of events in BHO's life that would have required a COLB. Keeping in mind, the laws and policies in force at that time, whether or not records are likely to exist, and if those records are public information subject to FIOA requests.

    a. Childhood international travel
    b. Private highschool
    c. Application for SSN
    d. Drivers License
    e. Undergraduate application, student loan origination, summer jobs
    f. Adult passport application
    g. Illinois State Bar
    h. Illinois State Legislature
    i. Security Clearance and other Federal Paperwork

The State of Hawaii provides certified copies to a short list familiy members. Will they provide an UN-certified copy or a list of birth records by month for 1961?

Some Hawaian papers print current birth notices, did they do so in the Sixties and where are the archives?

    2. Standing?

Who has standing to demand production of a valid COLB?

It is my understanding that the primary process is to select a candidate subject to State and Party rules. Unless specifically enumerated in the State code that provides funds for a Primary, the participants do not have to have the qualifications for the office they are seeking. Thus, no one has standing to challenge the primary results. I could be wrong about this.

In my opinion, after the nominating convention, States would be obligating funds for the election and would have standing to demand proof. Of course my opinion does not have much weight.

After the election, who determines if he is qualified - the House of Representatives, is this by a majority vote? Could Speaker Pelosi provide means to verify his natural born citizenship status - a heartfelt promise, grandmother's affidavit, etc. - other than a valid COLB? (See Amendment 20, Section 3.)

    3. Ballot rules and time line to change them

What are the ballot certifications in place today to ensure the candidates are qualified for the office that they seek? What is the electoral value of states that require a valid document?

Is there time for a Red State to change them, if none require the presentation of a valid document to an empowered State official?

Could BHO win without his name on the ballot in all 50 states?

Could Arnold save the Union by mandating it in California?

    4. Potential Effects

If the Republicans make a stink and he produces a valid COLB, they look like idiots and racists.

If he cannot produce a valid COLB when compelled prior to the convention - will the Democratic Super-delegates flip?

After the election, a Pelosi House qualifies him without a valid COLB, and another election goes to the Supreme Court.

    5. Absolute Speculation

Earlier this year in a television interview JMcC had some curious comments when questioned about BHO's qualifications in terms of experience to be President, his response was that "BHO was qualified" to seek the presidency. At the time it sounded like a back-handed compliment, as in "sure he's qualified, he is a 35 year old US citizen, but ..." Was there more to this? Is this an issue the RNC has addressed quietly?

My guess is that his counter-culture Mom just didn't apply for one and BHO never needed one until now. The provision of a late certificate would raise issues he doesn't want to address. After the election, mea culpa ...

Does the certifiacte have something embarrassing on it. like Father: UNKNOWN or John Doe?

Did he use Kenyan or Indonesian identify documents at some point?

Was he really born prior to 1958, before Hawaii was a State, and recieved a certificate of late birth in 1961?

Did someone in Cook County gin up a fake one for him at some point, or "overlook" his lack of a certificate?

Or, with a real tinfoil hat, does Soros know this and is backing BHO to create another scandal that diminishes the Office of the President.

  4. it doesn't matter if Obama was born in Hawaii before it became a state

it doesn't matter if he was born in the Kremlin during a meeting of the Soviet Politboro - or on the far side of the moon

his mother was an American citizen - CASE CLOSED as to whether he's a native-born citizen

now if there's ANYTHING ELSE at issue here, I'm all ears - but enough already w/ any nonsense about Obama's eligibilty to hold office, OK?

  5. He had to have one to get his passport, right? At least that was the easiest way.

I can't hire someone without filling out the W-9 info that includes a positive ID with 2 forms of ID, don't the require a birth certificate to run for President.

If he was born in Hawaii in 1961 it doesn't matter.

If he was born outside of the US - he is not a citizen.

The law in force at the time held that the US citizen parent had to be a US citizen for 10 years, 5 of which had to after the age of 16. His Mother was 18, therefore she does not meet the standard.

If he was born in Hawaii prior to Statehood - then the issue is unsettled. As it is unsettled, he should have followed the McCain route and resolved it by Act of Congress.

    Two issues with the passport

    1. Until recently, requirements for children travelling to have a passport were not strictly enforced.

    2. The document examiner for the passport is not an expert, he or she, is postal clerk or local offical with some training.
