Have they no shame?
How do they keep voting for this antiwar, anti-military detestable gasbag?
(Here's some advice to wcbstv-- Murtha is not a "strong defense advocate." He is a selfish man who has made it a habit of slandering the US troops at war!)
Democrat John Murtha does it again...
Murtha admits the surge is working but only because the terrorists "are worn out" and American troops aren't just beating down doors and killing innocents!
Un-freaking-believable!
Here's the video:
A WilleyBCoyote Video.
Here is what Murtha says:
Murtha: I think they have 17 or so guidelines and they've solved 4 or 5 of them. And, just think...
(Actually they've completed 15 of the 18 benchmarks.)
Murtha: I think the short term it (the Bush Surge) has reduced incidents. I'm not sure if it's because the Iraqis are just worn out but certainly the way they are doing it today it makes a big difference. It used to be we broke down doors. We went in and we killed people inadvertantly. Now they're much more careful about it.
This hateful boob is the national security "expert" in the Democratic Party!
Blackfive adds: "And they wonder why no one takes them seriously in those areas???"
And, Murtha still has not apologized to the 7 innocent Haditha Marines he accused of cold-blooded murder last time.
Let's hope justice is served against this hateful man some day soon. Murtha put those Haditha Marines through hell these past few years and he isn't man enough to apologize to them.
He is a coward.
UPDATE: Murtha's opponent this year for Congress is Lt. Colonel William Russell a decorated combat veteran who has served in Desert Storm, the Iraq War, and the Pentagon on 9/11.
You can donate to his campaign HERE.
This spin first appeared on the John Batchelor radio show last Sunday. There were three libs--including Larry Johnson--who said that violence was down in Iraq for two reasons:
ReplyDeletea) Our troops have pulled out of the civil war in Iraq and are no longer "breaking down doors" and enraging the population. Since we'd stopped assaulting innocent Iraqis, they had stopped retaliating.
b) Since Iran is now in total control of Iraq, and since the Iraqi government is an open ally of Iran, the Iranians have stopped sponsoring terrorism in Iraq. Iran has won.
Because Iraq is now openly aligned with Iran, it will never be an American ally, so we need to withdraw our troops immediately. The war is over; Iraq is lost to us, and Iran has expanded its influence. It's all a disaster brought about by that lying liar Bush.
This will be Obama's spin, too, I predict. Never mind that it's factually incorrect on all levels; it's the horrendous disrespect of our troops' sacrifices that enrages me.
But don't worry. Obama will never be president. America doesn't elect smug, lying, pissy, affirmative-action buffoons as commander-in-chief.
Tom - I am hoping you are correct with your prediction. 4 years of Obama in charge would be disaster.

Winning "only because the terrorists are worn out"????
ReplyDeleteWhat Marine Corps was Mr. Murtha in, anyway? Isn't the ENTIRE idea of warfare to, in collective if not literal sense, "wear your eneny out" until he says "no mas?"
Well, dumb me. Maybe there is some other purpose once you are in a war than "wearing your enemy out". Making your enemy dance, I suppose. Serving your enemy fresh baked muffins perhaps. Teaching your enemy quadratic equations and 'Love Boat' trivia maybe.
Perhaps Murtha could fill us in.
As I've said before, I have never in my life seen an EX-Marine -- until I saw Murtha. What a wretched excuse for a human being that bloviating gasbag is.
ReplyDelete[I just wonder if he has the guts to show up for any of his unit reunions; or at Eighth and Eye for the birthday of the USMC?]
even the copperheads were smart enough to support the Union in 1865!
ReplyDeletemurtha is a traitor thru and thru.
the only part of murtha that's not traitorous is the part that's taken up by sleazy corruption.
How does this guy get reelected every time? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteMurtha is a porker he brings millions of dollars to the home folks and they live off of that.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why Murtha is so much against the war it takes money out of his hog trough
Bad luck and trouble to Murtha, 'til the end of his days.
ReplyDeleteGateway:
ReplyDeleteHere are some things to keep in mind about the election:
a) Despite all of Obama's advantages in race, youth, money, media support, and historical timing, and despite everything the Republicans have done to screw up McCain's chances, Obama and McCain are neck and neck in the real polls. This bodes very ill for Obama. He should be 30-40 points ahead.
b) Even Obama's supporters are acknowledging he's just a politician. His entire shtick was that he was completely different, but since he isn't, AND he's got no experience, do you really think the country will vote for him?
c) Every day, Obama, his wife, and his followers chip away at his support among independents and rational Democrats. Every flip-flop, every new terrorist buddy, every new sweetheart deal, evety new proposed tax peels off another 10,000 voters.
d) McCain just turned his campaign over to a guy who has a long record of winning, AND who's ruthless, by all accounts. Even before "the Sergeant" took over, McCain and Obama were tied in the polls. McCain can only go up from here.
e) Gas will be at $6.00 a gallon by November, and everything else will have gone up by about 15 percent, but Obama will still be saying we can't drill for our own oil. AND he'll be really bitchy about it.
f) Obama has become grim and humorless, and now he holds his chin in the air like Mussolini. His likeability is gone. He's demanding an open-air stadium full of 76,000 screaming maniacs for his inauguration. All I can say is, "Please, God! Please let it happen!"
g) Obama's positions on everything are now either totally confusing, or else they're McCain's. The country hates politicians who are confusing. McCain, on the other hand, is as easy to understand as the menu at McDonald's. He's as reassuring as McDonald's.
h) Soon McCain will open up about the torture he endured in the service of his country, and he will demand that Americans not allow politicians to negate all the sacrifices of his fellow service members in Iraq.
i) Most importantly, remember the "Bradley Effect." A significant number of Americans are telling pollsters that they will vote for Obama, when in fact they have no intention of doing so. Look at the exit polls in the Dem primaries. And the primaries were held before Obama showed his true colors.
The primaries were held when Obama was on the rise.
Get used to saying "President John McCain."
I'm not a Hannity fan, but to quote him, "Let not your heart be troubled."
Happy Independence Day.
Murtha reminds me of Ramsey Clark. They both seem to suffer from a similar form of insanity. They are like ghosts going ove the same situation over and over again.
ReplyDeleteTheir reactions seem to have nothing to do with the reality with which they are confronted, but are instead reactions to some trauma that exists in their souls.
I would very much like to think Murtha's statements are just the results of old-timer's disease. It's not though.
ReplyDeleteTo replay the Pastorius note - Murtha reminds me of Arnold. Benny was an American hero then sold out to the enemy and went traitor. Okay, maybe Murtha just went stupid, but I'm just not feeling the difference.
Murtha is a traitor who was never in the Marine Corps, the same as Kerry was never in the Navy. They were both ginning for political power and used the respective services as stepping stones. They were both philosophical cowards as can be seen by their current actions.
ReplyDeleteI have already contributed to his opponent.
ReplyDeleteIf everyone else was to do so? Well, I think we would have a much greater effect than the moonbats did on Liberman. After all - Murtha speaking is practically an add for 'anybody else'.
You know, he's saying the same all the time and it's based only on his imagination.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm not a doctor, but... for me this sounds like dementia. He's 76 after all, a little Altzheimer at that age isn't really a surprise.
But he should grow some spine and resign since he, obviously, isn't fit of the job. Then again, you know how people with Altzheimer and dementia are. They forget everything. So even if Murtha wanted to resign yesterday at night, he has forgotten it all in the morning.
And Tom W. I hope you're right, not only for the sake of the US.
Murtha said last December that the surge was working because HE (and Hillary claimed SHE) frightened the Iraqi government into submission with their threats of military withdrawal. Gee, I thought only the Commander in Chief could withdrawal troops, not Congressmen. But nevermind.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah the terrorists are tired, because the U.S. military and Iraqi forces have kicked their butts.
Iraq is NOT aligned with Iran. That is complete BS. Iraq and the U.S. are hammering out a long term partnership agreement as we speak and the Iraqi government and people have openly condemned Iran's involvement in Iraq. Iraq recently put out a PSA, which is on MEMRI Tv, pointing the finger squarely and disgustedly at Iran.
If Obama tries to say the two are aligning it shows his complete lack of competence to be C-in-C. He obviously doesn't listen to comamnders or Iraqi leadership who have been saying the opposite.
And please don't give me the "Maliki kissed Ahmadinejah so they're allies" line. Iran and Iraq are neighboring countries with a long history of hatred between them. Aside from the fact that a kiss and hug are customary for a dignitary in that part of the country, and even more so to a 'brother' Iraq must try to have some sort of good relationship with Iran in order to prevent an invasion or worse.
I truly hope there is some way the Haditha marines can sue this creep for slander..at the very least
ReplyDeletePlease don't go blaming ALL of Pennsylvania for this tool's remarks. He represents only one Congressional District. That's like saying all of PA agrees with Mayor Nutter of Philly on gun control. (Well we do agree that that is a most appropriate name for the mayor, but that's another story.)
ReplyDeletetom w.
ReplyDeleteWish you were right, "But don't worry. Obama will never be president. America doesn't elect smug, lying, pissy, affirmative-action buffoons as commander-in-chief." Unfortunately the track record since Carter or even earlier, with the exception of Reagan, is that we do.
Thomas Jefferson:
Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.
Murtha's opponent in his next election is Lt. Col Bill Russell. You can donate at that website like I just did.

Isn't breaking the will of the enemy is the goal of warfare? So isn't being "worn out" a sign of defeat? I thought he was an officer who would know such things.
ReplyDelete"the Iraqis are just worn out."
ReplyDeleteKewl, Murtha. Are you admitting, then, that Bush's "Stay the Course" persistence was the correct strategy?
Crap like this reminds me of when Clinton bombed Iraq during the Lewinsky grand jury hearing. Every dem was in front of the mic, saying "Politics stops at the water's edge." Hypocrites.
It is patently clear that Murtha doesn't know anything about how the military functions anymore.
ReplyDeleteThis "vet" needs to be replaced.
He is not the kind of politician this country needs.
The part I don't understand is, these interviewers who ask Murtha the questions ... why don't they whip out a baseball bat and do some batting practice on him? I just find it completely inexplicable that the interviewers don't do that.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! reliapundit says: "the only part of murtha that's not traitorous is the part that's taken up by sleazy corruption"...
ReplyDeleteSurely you can't mean Mr. Abscam and faux war hero can you?...
Good call!
I've just contributed to Murtha's opponent. Please do the same.
ReplyDelete"I've just contributed to Murtha's opponent. Please do the same"...
ReplyDeleteGood deal jsabsher!
BTW I'm wondering if anyone has heard if Mr. Abscam-faux war hero will whine about this?
From the WSJ's Opinion section: Iraq's Oil Surge
Here's the part I love: "What seems to irk Mr. Schumer – and running mates John Kerry and Missouri's Claire McCaskill – is Iraq's decision to sign shorter-term, no-bid service contracts with Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch Shell, BP, Total and Chevron. Most of these firms had extensive experience in Iraq prior to Saddam Hussein's nationalization, and were chosen because their knowledge will help Iraq boost near-term production"
I can almost hear the raving moonbats cry about some sort Halliburton like scam going on here...ROFLMAO!
Please, everyone who can spare a few bucks, donate to Bill Russell's campaign.
ReplyDeleteIt was a shame when Irvey (sp?) didn't beat him last time. We need to get this guy GONE!
Mr Amos is exactly right. Murtha represents a depressed region of the state and his constituents are glad to see the pork and don't much care about his politics or his corruption. I know several republicans who voted for Murtha in the last election and when I asked why, they all had pretty much the same answer -- "he brings money into the district."
ReplyDeleteBefore you go farther with Murtha, All I need to know about him is that he is a rat (see Abscam).
ReplyDeleteAnyone who saves his own skin and sells out his friends as he did is vermin, nothing more, nothing less.
My dad is a Marine, John Murtha is a rat. Oh, and yall in Johnstown who want MY MONEY to prop your useless asses up...GTH.
Is this starting to look staged to anyone. Last week Wesley Clark goes after McCain and winds up under the bus.Now Obama flips on Iraq and everyone calls him on it,so Murtha pops up again with his stupid anti-surge comments and Obama can get behind the surge and throw Murtha under the bus. I'm not usually this cynical, but Obamas flips have made me so.
ReplyDeleteSo you disagree with Murtha that we killed some Iraqis "inadvertently" (meaning, by mistake)? If you disagree with Murtha, it means you think we killed Iraqis on purpose.
ReplyDeleteMurtha is saying that we were killing Iraqis by mistake, because he loves the troops; conservatives think we killed innocent Iraqis on purpose. Nice.
The hatred that conservatives feel for Democrats who served (Murtha, Kerry) shows up how much conservatives hate the military. You only like soldiers when they're Republicans; if they're not Republicans, if they want to get us out of Iraq, then you hate them for serving.
Democrats respect the troops; conservatives hate the troops but make an exception for Republicans.
Yes boys & girls yet another snivling douche nozzle hiding behind his/her anon facade: "So you disagree with Murtha that we killed some Iraqis "inadvertently" (meaning, by mistake)? If you disagree with Murtha, it means you think we killed Iraqis on purpose"...
ReplyDeleteDo YOU any idea what you a blathering on about?
Is your grip of history so mangled up with your political correctness that you come off sounding like a libtard?
Shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself for making this sort inane but thoroughly delusional comment: "Democrats respect the troops; conservatives hate the troops but make an exception for Republicans"?
What planet are you from and in what galaxy is it located?
It might mitigate your abysmal ignorance...
So you disagree with Murtha that we killed some Iraqis "inadvertently" (meaning, by mistake)? If you disagree with Murtha, it means you think we killed Iraqis on purpose.
ReplyDeleteMurtha said our military killed innocent Iraqis in cold blood..what part of his Haditha narrative has gone over your head? Or was that a willfull miss in order to build your man of straw? What Murtha says now is politically expediant for him as you have now attested by your full-on acceptance of his new position. In trying to explain away the men and women serving in Iraq as only having a positive effect by their inaction it's really quite the same narrative....when they do something it's in cold blood and when they just sit it somehow leads to better circumstances for the Iraqis, eh? Our military folk deserve not just much more recognition for the job they do but much more respect than Murtha(and apparently you) can muster....politics does indeed continue past the border and it's shameless at that.
The people of the 12th District of Pennsylvania endorse and believe this garbage. They must because Pennsylvanians repeatedly endorse Murtha and his statements in the voting booth. They want this kind of thing being said about US troops and they want Murtha as their spokesman.
ReplyDeleteAt some point, you just have to acknowledge that this is what most Pennsylvanians believe about the US military.
You know it is interesting to observe the moonbats coming out of the woodwork here lately.
ReplyDeleteTheir shrillness only serves to spotlight the fact that they know that the Obama campaign/Democratic party propaganda campaign is not working. So they are starting to resort to trying to bludgeon people into voting for their Obamamessiah which will only backfire on them horribly.
Memo to the Obamamaniacs, moonbats and Democrats:
Apply for your landed immigrant visas to Canada now and beat the rush. I have a feeling that this time around people are going to hold you to your statements that you will leave because people are getting sick and tired of you stupid, petulant children.
I gave to Mr. Russell's campaign last Oct. 07--
ReplyDeleteGiving $$ to Thomas More will help our Marine Col. too.
Thank you for speaking the truth via your site.
Murtha knows he can't change his destination of hell so he just keeps greasing the slide to make the trip faster. When he hits the fire the top of a mountain will blow off somewhere. The brain dead democrats keep calling the American military murderers. Maybe it's time for a few members of the military to prove them right. Murtha, Reid, Peeeloshi and Turbin Durbin would be my pick of 'first' targets.
ReplyDeleteFirefighter
Let's not forget Gateway Pundit April 7,2008 Pigs Fly... CBS Investigates Murtha's Mysterious Pork Projects.
ReplyDeleteHeh. He's a miserable excuse for a human being, but he's politically savvy in that unpleasant, pork gorging manner. I did catch a slip from the old buffoon though; in comparing McCain to Bush, he added that 'we don't need another 8 years of George Bush!' Is he assuming Americans would re-elect George Bush 2 more times?!?
ReplyDeleteWe could do worse...much worse
