Barack Obama denies that he changed positions on an undivided Jerusalem.
The American Spectator reported:
Couric: You said not too long ago that Jerusalem should remain undivided. And then you backtracked on that statement. Does that play into the argument that some believe that someone more experienced would not have made that kind of mistake?Unreal.
Obama: Well... if you look at what happened, there was no shift in policy or backtracking in policy. We just had phrased it poorly in the speech. That has happened and will happen to every politician. You're not always gonna hit your mark in terms of how you phrase your policies. But my policy hasn't changed, and it's been very consistent. It's the same policy that Bill Clinton has put forward, and that says that Jerusalem will be the capital of Israel, that we shouldn't divide it by barbed wire, but that, ultimately that is … a final status issue that has to be resolved between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

On CNN the following day, however, he was singing a different tune. "Well, obviously, it's going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues. And Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations," he said when asked whether Palestinians had no future claim to the city.
And, he never batted an eye!
UPDATE: Hmm. Maybe people are finally starting to pay attention to Obama.
His poll numbers are dropping- it's all tied up.

Also, notice the absence of taking blame here - HE was the one that said it, it was HIS speech - yet, he says WE - as if it is really his camp's/speech writer(s)fault, as well.
There is a consistant and ever growing deniability on the part of this full blown deceiver, to accept the responsibility of HIS mistakes and errors in HIS run for President.

Well, what is truly enigmatic about this entire process is David Axelrod's role.
He's a Jew, far left and you know he read this speech and approved it before Obama spewed forth.
Axelrod knows what AIPAC members Buttons are on Jerusalem and how to push them. This statement of an "undivided Jerusalem" got a resounding applause, if not standing ovation. It was a picture perfect moment for all the world to see Obama please the Jews with all the networks rolling tape. Oh see, he does love Israel. All those people who say he is Pro Hamas terrorist are wrong. No story here, move along.
Axelrod's playing a dangerous game.
I think maybe 10-15 years ago, people like Axelrod could get away with such blatant manipulation of both sides.

Yeah, I am noticing that whenever he flip flops he uses "We". It's becoming quite obvious and irritating.

"We just had phrased it poorly in the speech", said Mr. Obama. We?? I thought he was running for president and what he said was HIS position. That was a speech supposedly thought out, edited and written to be given to that audience. Doesn’t he read his speeches before hand? Does the man think we are idiots or does he believe that he is such a good politician that he can smooth over his continuous errors? If he believes either, he is the idiot for we all are not college students or media flakes swooning over his image.
My elderly friends and relatives, FDR Democrats all, see though his smoke screen. And they actually vote. And why no polls this cycle of this demographic? I find that interesting in itself.

I wonder if they're being enslaved by Black Owned businesses from Motown to BET and others? I'm guessing all the black hip/hop Producers are just as hard driving on deals as any other people.
But then that would not be politically correct to admit blacks economically enslaving blacks, nor does it make good TV air space it seems these days to tell the truth.
Mistake #1: Publishing your conclusions before going on your fact-finding trip.
Mistake #2: Changing the nature of the trip from fact-finding to a campaign.
Mistake #3: Acting as President, negotiating with foreign leaders before you are elected or even nominated.
Here's the recipe for a successful trip: Make it fact-finding, keep it fact-finding. Second, be simply part of the Senate team visiting these countries, be humble, refuse to comment overseas.
Third, don't go with gazillions of reporters. Fourth, let others do the talking for you and about you.
Katie did a good job. I may even Tivo the rest! Let's hope she doesn't make up for it later, when the campaign is really on.
