Off the cuff... Barack sounds a lot like his wife Michelle.
He doesn't want to raise his daughters in today's America:

Actually, it sounds exactly opposite of his Wife. She's never been proud of her country until now...while he used to be proud, until now (now that people are clingy and monolingual).
I'm sure that when Mr. Change gets into office, he'll change everything... for the worse! Too bad he has such a negative attitude of the coutry that he wants to lead. The emporer has no clothes!!
Between Obama and Michelle, I don't see much pride in our country or appreciation for the greatness of the American people. Why, in heavens name, would we want those two in the White House?

Ya know... my Grandmother's family grew up dirt poor on a small farm eatin what little they could scabble together, lived thru The Greatest Depression, the children worked hard on the farm and they all grew up to become engineers, carpenters, store owners, etc., and never once complained or asked the government for a thing in their lives. They had it so much harder than we ever did.
Obama is clueless about history and America's Spirit of CanDo Attitude. He's been preached and mentored all his life by Can'tDoers or NannyGovBots.
The difference is not in what you have, its how you live with what you have. Our ancestors had next to nothing for a long time. So did my immediate family at one time. But my parents never complained, nor did theirs. Heck, I had no A/C in college, paid my way, worked multiple jobs and am better for it. I appreciate more what I have today as a result.
Things are meaningless to people that live off the government dole, create bad habits and a system of continuous mind rot that waste lives.

Wow! I'd say the future is bright for all Americans with a spirit and faith like this coming from young Black Conservatives.
A good but inexpensive Chardonnay is the correct wine to serve with popcorn.
As for a beer everyone has their favorite. If I might I would like to suggest a nice hard cider such as Strongbow or Woodchuck Granny Smith cider. It is a refreshing summer drink and is definitely not a "girly drink". Most hard ciders have more alcohol in them then beer.
For a non alcoholic beverage to serve with popcorn might I suggest Havana Cola.
I thought Barack and Michelle were doing pretty well in America - educated, good jobs, nice mansion, making over a million a year, diverse range of friends and spiritual advisors, and America isn't what it once was? Barack and Michelle are living the American Dream, but Barack doesn't want that future for his children. Barack and Michelle are looking for hope and change.
I guess it is true - people are never happy with what they have; they are always looking for more. People used to be happy with far less, so I'm thinking maybe it is time for the Obama's to give a little more for a change, so that others can have a little hope.
Sounds like Obama is trying to square a circle. He says days gone past were better while Michelle says they were worse. Any bets on who will win that fight?

You all have misconstrued a perfectly legitimate argument, which is that America could be on a better track. And with a sluggish economy, rising deficits, two wars, a stagnant energy policy, a broken health-care system, and many more, obviously things could be better, which is what Senator Obama tried to express.
Of course Barack and Michelle Obama love this country- It is ridiculous to suggest otherwise. Yes, they may interpret patriotism differently than you, meaning that in order to change things, you must admit what is wrong and fix it. Imagine being at your office and you don't like the way things are going, but know that some changes could really benefit the company. Does that make you an disloyal employee? No way.
So to suggest all of these things about Barack and Michelle Obama is preposterous.
Instead of questioning the patriotism of your fellow countrymen, I suggest we have a substantive dialogue on all of the issues. These are times when we need to solve problems and not ignore them by making snide remarks.
