Democrats Cut and Run From Party In Droves!
Gee. Does anyone else see a looming disaster?
This has to have the Obama Camp, Howard Dean, Reid and Pelosi crapping in their britches.
Rasmussen reported:
During July, the number of Americans who consider themselves to be Democrats fell two percentage points to 39.2%. That’s the first time since January that the number of Democrats has fallen below 41% (see history from January 2004 to present).Maybe it's time to send Michelle Obama back out on the stump?
While the number of Democrats declined, there was virtually no change in the number of Republicans. In July, 31.6% said they were Republicans, the fourth straight month that number has been below 31.4% and 31.6%.
The Democrats now have a 7.6 percentage point advantage over the Republicans, down from a 9.5 percentage point advantage in June and 10.1 percentage points in May.
Don't worry Dems- five weeks of summer vacation out to do smooth things over with the public.
UPDATE: In related news- Obama is behind in Oklahoma by 32 percentage points... 56% to 24%.

I said here that Democrats are in for a rude awakening when they get hom. Here's what Pelosi's spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, said yesterday:
Republicans are too scared to go home to face their constituents after voting against bills to force Big Oil companies to use it or lose it, demand that the president free our oil from the government stockpile and crack down on speculators,” Elshami said.
I think Mr. Elshami is in for a big surprise.
Don't worry. By the time ACORN gets done, 75% of the total population of the country will be registered Democrats.
My thinking is that a lot of disillusioned Hillary voters are moving to independent prior to the election. If the DNC snubs Hillary supporters this shift will become a landslide. It may very well be the birth of a new less radical democrat party more to the right of the radical left.
FTA: In July, 31.6% said they were Republicans, the fourth straight month that number has been below 31.4% and 31.6%.

The portion of Operation Chaos that non-'Rats can participate in ended in June, so it is not at all surprising to me.

Let us remember that the Democrats have been in charge of Congress during each major "energy crisis." Let me help you recall...1974,1979 and this one and all we got were CAFE standards. Losers All
I am a 48 year old democrat for McCain...
The democrat party may have have left me, i have not left the true dem party, I just refuse to support the party at this time.
Screw the false messiah, dean, useless pelosi & company

The only bad thing is that from November 2004 until July 2008, the number of those who consider themselves Republicans has fallen from 37.1% to 31.6% where those who consider themselves Democrats has actually risen from 38.6% to 39.2% during the same time.
The last time in the past 4 years the numbers were this lopsided in the Democrats favor was in 2006 when the Democrats gave us Republicans a whooping.
So while this drop is a good sign, we need to hope that it continues in this trend.
Another interesting thing to note is that in both October and November '04, more people considered themselves Democrats (roughly 1% more) and we still won the presidency.
If the Democrats that I know are any indication the situation is much worse then anyone in the DNC thinks.
