The defenders of Jeremiah Wright are wrong.
The spectacle at Brite Divinity School this past weekend honoring Jeremiah Wright was sick. This was not Christianity.
This was a lie.
Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth went ahead with its plans to honor the Rev. Jeremiah Wright this weekend, even though Barack Obama's racist pastor decided to skip the ceremony.

The black church leaders who attended the event continued to defend Wright's "God Damn America" hate speech from the pulpit. They insisted that Wright's hate speech was misinterpretted, misunderstood or taken out of context.

Iran Threatens Arab League and UAE Over Persian Gulf Islands

The Greater and Lesser Tunb Islands and Abu Musa are located in the Perisan Gulf near the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran attacked the Arab League and UAE on Sunday over the issue of three Persian Gulf islands of the Greater and the Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa.
The Iranian regime warned the Arab League to "try not to change history" by siding with the UAE over the disputed islands.
Fars News reported:

Iran on Sunday dismissed a statement by Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa on backing the United Arab Emirates' claim over three Iranian Islands in the Persian Gulf.

Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that Amr Mussa's statement in the 20th Arab Summit in the Syrian capital was totally baseless and unfounded.

"In meeting with other Arab leaders, they indicated a different stand in dealing with the issue and even the UAE's officials did not point to the issue," Mottaki told reporters.

In the same regard, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini on Sunday stated that the three Iranian Islands in Persian Gulf are inseparable part of the Iranian territory.

He strongly refuted the pro-UAE statement, saying "such allegations are regarded as interference in Iran's domestic affairs."

Khomeini Supporter Appointed Special Agent on UN Human Rights Council

The UN appointed an America-hating Ayatollah Khomeini supporter to the UN Human Rights Council. Richard A. Falk, who has compared Israel to the Nazis, was appointed special investigator on Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories.
The Jerusalem Post reported:

The United Nations Human Rights Council on Wednesday appointed American Jewish law professor Richard A. Falk - who has compared Israel to the Nazis - as special investigator on Israeli actions in the territories for a six-year term.

Falk (pictured), who formerly taught international law at Princeton University, replaces South African professor John Dugard, who was an expert on apartheid.

Dugard leaves his post in June after seven years. He made waves when he compared Israeli actions in the territories with apartheid and colonialism.

Falk, in his academic writing, has already stated that a Palestinian holocaust was in the making.

Yitzhak Levanon, ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, spoke against Falk's appointment in an address to the council on Wednesday.

"In a recent article, [Falk] stated that he did not think it to be "an irresponsible overstatement to associate the treatment of Palestinians with the criminalized Nazi record of collective atrocity," Levanon said.

"He has taken part in a UN fact-finding mission which determined that suicide bombings were a valid method of 'struggle,'" Levanon said.

Falk has a long record of opposing the US and is a supporter of Ayatollah Khomeini:

In Falk's calculus, the root cause of Islamic terrorist attacks is that "the mass of humanity … finds itself under the heels of U.S. economic, military, cultural, and diplomatic power." In 1979 he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Ayatollah Khomeni, who he hailed as a "liberator" of Iran. Falk continues to invariably side with America's foes in international disputes.

The hardliners in Indonesia called for the death of Dutch politician Geert Wilders today:

The Islamists this time are upset with the movie Fitna that shows Islam as a violent religion. In response they want the movie producer slaughtered.
Reuters reported:

About 50 members of a hardline Indonesian Muslim group held a rowdy protest outside the Dutch embassy on Monday, calling for the death of a Dutch lawmaker behind a film accusing the Koran of inciting violence.

Geert Wilders, leader of the anti-immigration Freedom Party in the Netherlands, launched his short video on the Internet last week, drawing condemnation from Muslim nations.

Dozens of police, with two water cannon at the ready, did not intervene during the protest by white-clad members of the Islamic Defenders' Front, some of whom hurled eggs and plastic water bottles into the compound of the Dutch embassy in Jakarta.

"I call on Muslims around the world, if you run into the maker of the film, kill him," said one of the speakers at the rally, Awit Mashuri.

"Geert Wilders is a Christian terrorist," declared a placard held up by a protester. "Kill Geert Wilders," read another.

In a separate poll released today-- 55% of Arabs agreed that offensive words justified violence... 55%!

** Fully 89 percent believe Palestinian leaders must end the culture of hate that encourages children to become suicide bombers

Tuzla Tarmac Girl Emina Bicakcic Fires Back at Hillary

Emily Bicakcic is firing back at the former First Lady and big talker Hillary.

The New York Post followed up with the tarmac girl from Tuzla after Hillary's big story on her Tuzla heroics:

The Bosnian girl who famously read a poem to Hillary Rodham Clinton during her 1996 visit to the war-torn country is shocked - and her countrymen infuriated - that the former first lady claimed to have dodged sniper fire that day.

Emina Bicakcic, now 20 and studying to become a doctor, told The Post she stood on the tarmac at the air base in Tuzla, greeted Clinton and even had time to share the lines of verse she'd written - all without fear of attack from an unseen enemy.

"I was surprised when I heard this," Bicakcic said, referring to Clinton's assertion that she braved snipers upon landing, ducking and sprinting to military vehicles.

Other Bosnians said they had one of two reactions to Clinton's debunked action-hero account of her visit: laughter or anger.

"It's an exaggeration," said former acting President Ejup Ganic, who was present during Clinton's visit. "No one was firing. There were no shots fired."

The Politico reported:

During his first run for elected office, Barack Obama played a greater role than his aides now acknowledge in crafting liberal stands on gun control, the death penalty and abortion — positions that appear at odds with the more moderate image he has projected during his presidential campaign.

The evidence comes from an amended version of an Illinois voter group’s detailed questionnaire, filed under his name during his 1996 bid for a state Senate seat.

Late last year, in response to a Politico story about Obama’s answers to the original questionnaire, his aides said he “never saw or approved” the questionnaire.

They asserted the responses were filled out by a campaign aide who “unintentionally mischaracterize[d] his position.”

But a Politico examination determined that Obama was actually interviewed about the issues on the questionnaire by the liberal Chicago nonprofit group that issued it. And it found that Obama — the day after sitting for the interview — filed an amended version of the questionnaire, which appears to contain Obama’s own handwritten notes added to one answer.

Listening to Obama, I'm actually reminded of the writings of many mid-twentieth century Frankfurt school Marxist philosophers, particularly the work of Ernst Bloch and Theodero Adorno. In fact, Obama's entire political ideology is thematic zed in the title of one of Bloch's most profound volumes, The Principle of Hope. Bloch's notion of hope as an indexation of what he called a politics of the "not-yet-here" resonates deeply with much of Obama's rhetoric. We can hear the traces of this earlier Marxist tradition when Obama makes comments such as "hope...is all those men and women who are not content to settle on the world as it is, [but instead] who have the courage to remake the world as it should be."

Jose Esteban Munoz, a "queer studies" scholar known in academic circles for his 1999 book, Disidentifications, is actually finishing up a book of the political utility of queer hope (entitled Cruising Utopia: The Politics and Performance of Queer Futurity, forthcoming from NYU Press). Strangely this all relates to Obama's politics.

As Munoz argues in his Cruising Utopia, invocations of "hope" and "utopia" are often dismissed as simply political naivety, however there is actually long history of revolutionary social movements that turned to "hope" as a means of effecting immediate political change. What I love about Obama is that his message of "hope" is not an attempt to obscure the stark material conditions of inequality which structure our present American life, but rather is a message of how we might embrace the future as something that begins now, not later.

Within this formulation, "utopia" is not, as some might quickly assume, a simple rush toward Xanadu or some rainbow-colored never-never land, but rather a fiercely political and bitter critique of the present. Obama suddenly becomes a modern day CLR James (noted Leninist). On a side note, Clinton needs to knock Obama in New Hampshire in order to avoid serious trouble. Following New Hampshire the next major caucus state is South Carolina on January 26, a region with a substantial African American vote. Up until now, the black vote has been split between Clinton and Obama primarily because African American voters have been reluctant to back Obama because there has been concern about his actual electability (i.e. "Is it really possible for a black man to win the U.S. presidency?").

The results of Iowa respond with a screaming, booming "yes."

Let's see what the (near) future holds. I'm "hoping" for the best.

Student Mob Shuts Down MN Military Recruitment Center

Student leftists from Macalester College wearing plastic arm tubes shut down an army and navy recruitment center in Minnesota on Thursday.
...It looks like nothing a good chainsaw couldn't handle, I suppose.

The Macalester SDS action was undertaken alongside a protest at the U by the Anti War Committee, UofM SDS, and Youth Against War & Racism. The slightly larger anti war march started at noon and met up in front of the Navy and Army recruitment center.

At 9am Thursday morning 10 Macalester students locked themselves to the doors of an Army and Navy Recruiting center on Washington Avenue, shutting both down for an entire day. (Indymedia)


The Minnesota police allowed the young Leftists to sit until 3:45 with their plastic arm tubes blocking the entrance of the recruitment offices. (Indymedia)

The Leftists from the University tried to likewise shut down a nearby National Guard recruiting office by occupying it, those protesters were quickly arrested and later released without incident.

One Minneapolis recruitment center was targeted by vandals last month who destroyed the front window with bricks. It was the sixth break-in on that office in the last 18 months.

The headline from The New York Times today paints a bleak picture of the US jobs market:

Driven by a painful mix of layoffs and rising food and fuel prices, the number of Americans receiving food stamps is projected to reach 28 million in the coming year, the highest level since the aid program began in the 1960s...

You'd think the US was in a depression from the news coming from the New York Times.

Arab Poll: 55% Believe Offensive Words Justify Violence

55% of Arabs surveyed believe offensive words or actions (cartoons?) justify violence.
The Gulf Times and Religion of Peace reported:

A YOUGOV poll commissioned by the Doha Debates has concluded that nearly one-third of all Arabs believe that Saudi Arabia is at greater risk from religious extremism than any other country in the world.

The poll adds weight to the vote at a session of the Doha Debates held on March 3 in Doha, where the motion “This house believes that Muslims are failing to combat extremism”, was carried by more than 70% of the audience.

In the YouGov survey, nearly half of all Arabs in the Gulf, Levant and North Africa said they have met someone who holds extreme religious views.

Asked under what conditions violence is permissible, more than 60% cited Western interference in a Muslim country, while 55% said offensive words or behaviour was a trigger.

Zimbabwe Announces Election Results

The first delayed election results were announced today showing a tie between the ruling party and opposition in Zimbabwe. The opposition again insisted that dictator Robert Mugabe lost the elections on Monday.

There are rumors of a possibility of a coup de etat by the army commanders in the wake of a surprise victory by the Oppostion MDC Tsavangirai party over the ruling party Zanu PF and its presidential candidate, Robert Mugabe -The Zimbabwean.

The first election results were announced in Zimbabwe this morning showing an even split among the opposition and ruling party of 84 year-old tyrant Robert Mugabe.
The BBC reported:

Zimbabwe's election commission has announced the delayed first results of presidential and legislative elections.

The 24 parliamentary constituencies were equally split between President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF and the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Justice Minister Patrick Chinamasa has lost his seat, east of Harare.

The delay in announcing results had fuelled speculation about vote rigging, after the MDC claimed its leader Morgan Tsvangirai had defeated Mr Mugabe.

Results have been posted outside individual polling stations.

Information Minister Sikhanyiso Ndlovu accused the MDC of "speculation and lies" and "causing unnecessary havoc".

MSNBC reported:

BAGHDAD - Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on Sunday ordered his fighters off the streets nationwide and called on the government to stop raids against his followers and free them from prison.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki issued a statement calling the order “a step in the right direction” towards resolving six days of violence sparked by operations against al-Sadr's backers in the oil-rich southern city of Basra.

Al-Sadr’s nine-point statement was issued by his headquarters in the holy city of Najaf and broadcast through loudspeakers at Shiite mosques.

Andrea Holzer writes today about The Sensational Conversion of Magdi Cristiano Allam at L'Occidentale:

It is strange how the entire world is staring at this tiny man. As if he is the new David, fighting Goliath with a piece of paper and a pen. Although he might look tiny on the outside, Magdi Cristiano Allam does not lack of courage. "I want to belong to God", said the deputy director of Il Corriere della Sera to his religious mentor, father Gabriele Mangiarotti, just before his sensational conversion. Clearly that was not Allah...

The only problem being: Magdi Allam is one of the most authoritative people in Europe when it comes to speak out loud against radical Islam. And, most of all, he was a Muslim himself. Allam is already surrounded by big guys (his personal bodyguards assigned to him by the Italian government on the ground that his life is constantly at risk) so, when he arrives at a conference or in a public place, you won't immediately notice that he has in fact arrived. Magdi Allam is also the kind of guy you won't notice because he just does not like to be at the center of attention. He gave a speech against a unintelligent anti-semite cartoon published on the leftist newspaper Il Manifesto which represented Magdi's friend Fiamma Nirenstein . There were four speakers at the press conference (organized by the Magna Carta Foundation) and Allam spoke for just about five minutes with a calm and low voice. It was almost like he wasn't invited for the speech. Almost like he begged someone for letting him speak.

When Allam told Mangiarotti that he wanted to become a catholic, the priest got worried. Magdi is already at risk and the move would have caused a wave of treats from the major Islamic association around the world, both moderate (according to Allam, though, there is no such thing) and radical. One would think: "well, Allam certainly knows that the conversion will put him even more at risk and he might get scared"... instead Magdi's answer to father Mangiarotti' concerns was: "You should worry about the Pope, not me".

"I am not afraid of death, I am convinced that we must go ahead. We should go on the road of truth and liberty", said Cristiano Allam in an interview published by the Italian newspaper Libero . "I don't want to give up, neither I want to be intimidated in anyway. I know I am right".

Now, his conversion has in fact caused a wave of protests coming from the Islamic world. The international daily newspaper Al Quds al Arabi wrote: "The pope provokes the indignation of Muslims by baptizing an Egyptian journalist who attacks Islam and defends Israel". Some others have said that Allam has added more fuel on the fire of the so-called clash of civilizations . But there were answers to this criticism: Michael Leeden wrote on his blog that , "Magdi's very public conversion, and his baptism by Benedict, is an act of defiance against those who have already forced him to live the life of a recluse". He also told us that the "the whole point of radical Islam is to silence all other voices". That involves a personal choice as well.

Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi ,a well known Iranian political activist living in NYC, has an articulated opinion on Allam's conversion . She points out how Allam's conversion can be perceived as a loss from another point of view: "I love and respect all those whose faiths makes them better people - says Zand-Bonazzi - ...people who are principled, righteous and truly tolerant, just like Magdi...who is one of the sweetest and almost saintly people I know. But I feel a loss for us secular and liberal Muslims because his voice, fighting from within Islam has a kind of intense impact...first in terms of his stance toward the diabolical Islamo-imperialists, then in terms of those who remain Muslim and are liberal and dare not speak out for fear of reprisal from the diabolical Islamists and finally for those westerners (non-Muslims) who absolutely refuse to believe that Islamo-Imperialists are the biggest threat to modernity and liberal life...So of course speaking from within the faith in order to have an impact...and I'm glad that he stayed till the tender age of 56 but still...his voice has been a darn valuable one and that's what makes it a loss for us liberal Muslims around the world who need pioneering voices such as Magdi's".

Although certainly the most famous, this is not Magdi's first conversion. A previous conversion is worth mentioning as well. Allam, in fact, did not start his career writing against radical Islam. He started out by writing on the leftist newspaper La Repubblica about multiculturalism and how this value could have saved the world. He was pro-Muslim at the beginning and not pro-Western. After 9/11, though, he changed his mind. Completely. So, he has been a supporter of Islam and later decided to give up with this beliefs. Therefore, one cannot claim that he doesn't know about Muslims. That he hasn't thought about his religion and he is a ignorant. In fact Allam represents everything that radical Islam fights against: the freedom to choose and the ability to change your mind. If a terrorist will hurt Magdi, he would hurt the freedom itself. He would hurt Magdi's future and past at the same time, not just a person. In this way he will show the world the true nature of radical Islam and the terrorism, namely: the negation of liberty and freedom of choice.

Plans for Al Gore to take the Democratic presidential nomination as the saviour of a bitterly divided party are being actively discussed by senior figures and aides to the former vice-president.

The bloody civil war between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama has left many Democrats convinced that neither can deliver a knockout blow to the other and that both have been so damaged that they risk losing November's election to the Republican nominee, John McCain.

Former Gore aides now believe he could emerge as a compromise candidate acceptable to both camps at the party's convention in Denver during the last week of August.

Two former Gore campaign officials have told The Sunday Telegraph that a scenario first mapped out by members of Mr Gore's inner circle last May now has a sporting chance of coming true.

Mr Gore, who was Bill Clinton's vice-president and has since won a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his work on green issues, remains an influential figure eight years after he beat George W Bush in the popular vote but lost the White House after the Florida recount fiasco.

The opening has emerged because opinion polls show Mr McCain stretching his lead over both Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton, whose campaigns are engaged in a daily cycle of attacks, character assassination and mutual recriminations on religion, race and the economy.

Obama's Mentor Wright Slams Nation's "Fondling Fathers"

Obama's pastor and mentor Jeremiah Wright referred to this great nation's forebearers as the "fondling fathers" in the church's latest magazine.

Barack Obama ran with a similar theme during his race talk to the nation by claiming that the United States was stained with the "original sin" of slavery.
Obviously, this is not much different than what his pastor and mentor has been ranting about for the last 20 years while the Obamas roosted in the pews.
They both believe this nation was tarnished from its beginning.

Jeremiah Wright did not just attack Italians with their "garlic noses" and "public lynching of Jesus" in the latest Trinity United Church of Christ Trumpet newsletter but had a few slams on whitey.
Craig Smith reviewed Jeremiah Wright's eulogy to Asa Hilliard in Trumpet Magazine and found several assaults on "whitey" and the "fondling fathers":

“Asa lived his whole life under the oppressive heel of white supremacy.”

“Asa was born in a climate, a context and a country controlled by white supremacy. From its founding fathers some would say "fondling fathers" who defined Africans as non-persons, from its original government to its current government hell-bent on leaving every Black child behind”

“The government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the Klan, white supremacy is clearly in charge,...”

Wright then goes on ranting a dozen or more times about “white enemies” and “white supremacy”, but he also takes the time to rip some blacks:

“But we also got some Africans who can out-white, white folks... White supremacist brainwashing passing itself off as education, is not restricted to the United States of America or white European cultures. White supremacy is not restricted to any particular country or any particular color. We got some Africans who are whiter in their thinking than George Bush and Dick Cheney.”

In related news... Rev. Jeremiah Wright made his first public appearance this weekend at another anti-Semitic church in Chicago. He received a raucous standing ovation.

The Texas Democratic Caucus Conventions were held today despite dirty tricks.
Officials at the Hays County convention pleaded with todays Democratic delegates-
"No spitting, hair-pulling or eye-gouging."

At large conventions in Houston, Dallas and Austin, arguments erupted and confusion set in as complaints were lodged about the legitimacy of some delegates.

Credentials committees heard challenges lodged against the way certain delegates were selected at precinct caucuses in early March. Frustrated delegates shouted at credentials committee members in Senate District 23 in Dallas.

UPDATE: Chaos... The convention in the 23rd district didn’t get started until around 6 p.m., with participants in it having been there since 8:30 a.m.

Zimbabwe Votes- Update: Mugabe Ousted? ...Opposition Claims Victory

People in Zimbabwe have been voting in an election that will decide whether President Robert Mugabe, in power since 1980, wins a sixth term in office.

His challengers are Morgan Tsvangirai of the MDC party and ex-finance minister and independent Simba Makoni.

Queues formed early, but many voters have complained of not being allowed to cast their ballots.

Vote rigging claims are already being reported.


Despite horrendous conditions in Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe does have his friends in the international community.
Iran will be monitoring the election today.

Tehran Police Chief Arrested After Found in Bed With 6 Hookers

Tehran Police Chief, Reza Zarei, was caught in a bed with six prostitutes.
He liked to watch them to take all their dresses and pray completely nude.

Tehran's police chief, Reza Zarei, led the modesty crackdown on women in Tehran. Hundreds of women were arrested. An unspecified number of women were taken into custody and forced to undergo psychological counseling.

This week Reza Zarei was arrested by the regime.

The confirmation of the arrest of the former Tehran police chief by the judiciary came ‎soon after the most senior police officer in the country, Ismail Ahmadi Moghadam - an in ‎law of President Ahmadinejad – claimed to reporters last Friday that none of the senior ‎ranking police officers had been arrested...

‎The initial news about the arrest of Zarei came from the unofficial news sites. Those ‎reports indicated that the former police chief had been under surveillance by police ‎intelligence officers for some time prior to his arrest and that he had been filmed for over ‎‎60 hours in secret

A radical transsexual group is making plans to shut down the RNC in September.
Obviously, this group is working on more than just a radical LGBT agenda.

...Those attending the, “Bash Back! Convergence” organizing session for Crashing the RNC must agree to the Points of Unity put forward by Bash Back! Chicago. While we understand and respect all groups organizing against the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in the name of furthering the LGBTQ cause, it is important that our actions at the RNC have a unified message. These points of Unity do NOT mean that Bash Back! refuses to work with groups who disagree. They are simply what we as a group believe and we want the messaging of our actions to reflect that.

POINTS OF UNITY

Members of Bash Back! must agree to:

1. Fight for liberation. Nothing more, nothing less. State recognition in the form of oppressive institutions such as marriage and militarism are not steps toward liberation but rather towards heteronormative assimilation.

What transsexuals have against capitalism is not clear.

MORE... Slapstick passes on the latest plans by the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) on shutting down the RNC in Minnesota in September.

For SDS, the call to shutdown the RNC offers a tremendous opportunity to plug into what will likely be a major mobilization. Under the direct action strategy being discussed, SDS chapters can participate in this shutdown by selecting and utilizing the tactics with which they are most comfortable. The direct action framework will allow SDS chapters to work with those engaging in similar tactics, both within and outside SDS. Finally, chapters are free to theme their actions how they see fit and there could conceivably be SDS actions highlighting everything from the occupation of Iraq to the rising cost of tuition. Regardless of the themes and tactics chosen, imagine the excitement that we would all feel if SDS held down a few intersections and played a key role in shutting down the RNC...

To that end, we are calling on SDS chapters to both endorse and participate in a three-tiered system for disrupting the RNC on its opening day. At a gathering of over 100 anti-authoritarians from around the country in August of 2007 (facilitated by the Twin Cities based RNC Welcoming Committee), the following direct action strategy was adopted to shut down the RNC:

"Tier 1: Blockade the Xcel Center - Establish 15-20 blockades utilizing a diversity of tactics, creating inner and outer rings around St. Paul's Xcel Center.

Tier 2: Immobilize Delegates' Transportation - Immobilize the delegates' transportation infrastructure, including buses, bus depots, etc.

Tier 3: Block Connecting Bridges - Block the five western bridges connecting the cities.

Those plugging into this strategy will be free to shape their actions as they see fit, using the tactics they consider appropriate. As the specific blockade sites are established, some sites may be designated "red zones" (prepared for self-defense), "yellow zones" (peaceful but assertive), and "green zones" (no risk of arrest) so as to accommodate a wide variety of creative tactics.

Hillary's Snowe Job.... The Truth-- It Was Maine's Senator

Senator Hillary Clinton was no hero but Senator Olympia Snowe may have been.

Hillary may have been stealing her heroic Bosnia story from someone else.
Olympia Snowe had a remarkably similar incident happen to her delegation in 1995.
The Washington Post reported:

In October 1995, six months before then-first lady Clinton led a delegation to Tuzla, Sen. Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) and six other senators went on a fact-finding mission through war-torn Sarajevo, just before the Dayton accords resulted in a U.S. military presence on the ground in Bosnia.

Snowe's congressional delegation had an experience remarkably similar to the one Sen. Clinton (D-N.Y.) described in a speech delivered on St. Patrick's Day. Clinton has since said that she "misspoke" when she recalled arriving in Tuzla under sniper fire.

Unlike Clinton's version, Snowe's story was backed up news accounts. Clinton's story has been debunked by sources including television news accounts and the memories of the comedian Sinbad.

The seven senators flew into the host city of the 1984 Olympics on a military C-130 that, in addition to its senatorial payload, was carrying 20,000 pounds of peas to the starved city. A States News Service dispatch from Oct. 20, 1995, provided a portion of Snowe's Bosnia account:

"It's really sad. People are basically just living there and trying to survive," the Maine Republican said. "They're constantly living under threat of shelling or sniper fire." . . . As the plane landed she took note of the fortified bunkers surrounding Sarajevo's airport. . . . She glanced at the wall of firetrucks lined up along the airport tarmac, acting as shields from any Serb gunman looking to make a name for himself. She dashed across the runway to an armored vehicle waiting to whisk the senators to the city center. She glared at the hollowed-out remains of buildings along the city's main highway, better known as "Sniper Alley."

Samsphere is a new media forum, hosted by the Sam Adams Alliance, where bloggers and e-activists from across the country can gather together to network and share ideas. Samsphere is specifically geared toward bloggers and e-activists who focus on local and state-level politics, and who are dedicated to the principles of individual freedom and limited government.


Wall Street Journal reporter and author John Fund was the keynote speaker this evening at Samsphere. John pointed out a few very important facts during his talk including- that average common sense voter leans conservative. Democrats know this and that is why they focus their attention on the elitists in media and academia and mostly ignore or ridicule the masses in the middle of the country. The Left's whole game is to short circuit the election and run an election that "doesn't mean anything." They want people to focus on personalities or scandal, etc. (hope!) so that there is no real focus on the issues.

John Fund also talked about polls and how polls are easily manipulated. This is a noted tool used by the Left. A good example of this is when Reagan ran against Carter in 1980. Reagan was behind Carter in the polls until the last week before the election and then he won in a landslide. Since 1944 only one Democrat has won the presidency with a majority of the vote.

Homosexuals Rounded Up In Esfahan, Iran-- Police Are Examining Them For Evidence They Are Gay

Iranian law provides punishments up to death for homosexuality.

"Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both," an Iranian official Mohsen Yahyavi, told British MP's in 2007.
Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni were two gay teens hanged by the regime in 2005.

Police in Esfahan, Iran arrested 30 men at a private party and have been holding the men in jail for four weeks without access to a lawyer.
The police examiner is looking for evidence that the men are homosexual.
Iran Press News reported:

The arrest of more than 30 men attending a party in a private home in the city of Esfahan signals renewed efforts by Iranian authorities to enforce "morality" codes, and highlights the fragility of basic rights in a country where police powers routinely undermine privacy, Human Rights Watch said today.

It urged Iranian authorities to release the men reportedly arrested in late February, and to drop charges against people accused of consensual homosexual conduct, drinking alcohol, and other related "morals" offenses.

"When police routinely break down doors to enforce a brand of morality, it means a line has been crossed to invade people's privacy at any time," said Joe Stork, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. "Iran's repressive system of controlling peopleْs dress, behavior, and personal lives violates fundamental rights."

Sources inside Iran report to Human Rights Watch that on February 28-29, police in Esfahan raided a private home and arrested 30 or more men attending a party. They have been jailed for almost four weeks without access to lawyers and without charge. Police reportedly referred them to a forensic medical examiner to look for "evidence" that they have engaged in homosexual conduct.

...Iranian law provides punishments up to death for penetrative same-sex sexual activity between men on the first conviction, and punishes non-penetrative activity with up to 100 lashes. Homosexual conduct between women is punishable with death on the fourth conviction.

The Army decided that being cooped up in a long term out-patient situation at Walter Reed Medical Center shouldn't keep a noncommissioned officer from falling behind his peers, so they put together a rigorous program for these guys and gals.

Today was the first Graduation Ceremony of the Basic Noncommissioned Officer’s Course Stand Alone Common Core 103-08 at Walter Reed Medical Center.

Vets For Freedom National Heroes Tour-- Rolls Into St. Louis

The Vets For Freedom National Heroes Tour rolled into St. Louis this morning.

The Vets for Freedom members were excited about their stops in Missouri. Yesterday, the people from small town Marshall, Missouri shut down the interstate and sent at least 9 police and highway patrol cars to escort the Heroes Tour members into town!

Obama says that after 20 years of Jeremiah Wright being his spiritual mentor, he would have left the racist Trinity Church if Wright would not have retired.
Sure.

The truth is-- We all know he'd still be sitting in the front row at Trinity if tapes of his anti-American mentor of 20 years were not making the cable news shows.
The AP reported:

White House hopeful Barack Obama suggests he would have left his Chicago church had his longtime pastor, whose fiery anti-American comments about U.S. foreign policy and race relations threatened Obama's campaign, not stepped down.

"Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying at the church," Obama said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, "The View." The interview will be broadcast Friday.

In his sermons over the years, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright has railed against the United States and accused it of bringing on the Sept. 11 attacks by spreading terrorism. He also has said the government invented AIDS to destroy "people of color" and has shouted "God damn America" for its treatment of minorities.

Apparently... Those racist anti-Semitic newsletters his church puts out are OK, though.

Iraqis Hope For McCain-- Fear Democratic Win in the Fall

Kathleen Parker at National Review writes about a close friend in Iraq and the current situation on the ground.
Obviously, with the situation continually improving, despite the gloomy headlines from the corrupt Western press, there is one presidential candidate who Iraqis hope to see in the White House next year:

In June 2006, she wrote: “Tell him (Bush) we are ever thankful for his ousting the dictator, but to forget democracy and announce martial laws, and put an end to the blood bath and misery.”

By April 2007, Mayada was critical of the Democrats and their promises to bring the troops home. Should that happen, she wrote, America “will leave Iraq in its current devastated state, and who knows what will happen in the area, and everything inside this red-hot region.”

Her contradictory responses to my continuous questions echoed the debate that has divided this country the past five years. A clear answer has never been easy to find.

That is no longer the case, in Mayada’s view. She gives credit to Petraeus, whom she describes as “intelligent and calm, set on winning hearts and souls.”

Today she insists that Iraqis who are not Baathist hope that McCain wins the election for one simple reason: “The man knows the job that has to be done in Iraq. If the U.S. pulls out of Iraq now or anytime soon, then that will mean one thing: al-Qaeda won the war.”

She points out that for the first time since Iraq’s monarchy was toppled in 1958, the country has a parliament, a free press, jobs, a true identity “and a better understanding toward where the country should be heading.”

The sectarian divide, meanwhile, is an artificial schism created by al-Qaeda and other non-Iraqis, she says. Many Iraqis are like Mayada, a Sunni, who have married across sectarian lines.

New Mohammad Cartoon Film Will Be Anatomically Correct

Ehsan Jami, founder of the Committee for Ex-Muslims, has been been forced into hiding after a series of death threats and a recent attack.

Jami was moved to a safe house in the Netherlands after being attacked for a third time because of his anti-Muslim views on August 4, 2007... The attacks took place after Jami referred to the Muslim prophet Mohammed as a "horrible man" in several interviews and said he wanted to start a debate about domestic violence and human rights in Islam- EUX.TV.

Iranian-born Ehsan Jami has been working on a very controversial cartoon film that will show a sexually aroused Mohammad and his 9 year-old bride.

Former Dutch Labour Party politician Ehsan Jami, the founder of the Committee of ex-Muslims, has announced that he is producing an anti-Islamic cartoon called The Life of Muhammad. It will be released on the 20th of April. The film will show a sexually aroused Prophet Muhammad with his nine-year-old wife Aisha.

Members of the Dutch Muslim and government contact organisation, CMO, who have viewed a section of the film, say they will go to court in an attempt to have The Life of Muhammad banned. The organisation has described the film as totally unacceptable and extremely offensive.

[T]he pastor described going to a museum and being confronted by a painting title Hope.

"The painting depicts a harpist," Revernd Wright explained, "a woman who at first glance appears to be sitting atop a great mountaintop. Untill you take a closer look and see that the woman is bruised and bloodied, dressed in tattered rags, the harp reduced to a single frayed string. Your eye is then drawn down to the scene below, down to the valley below, where everywhere are the ravages of famine, the drumbeat of war, a world groaning under strife and deprivation.

It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks' greed runs a world in need, aprtheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere ... That's the world! on which hope sits."

And so it went, a meditation on a fallen world. ... [E.A.]

Sounds ... controversial! Keep in mind: a) Obama isn't disapproving of this sermon. In the book he weeps at the end of it; b) Demonstrating that at least some blaming of "white greed" for the world's sins--which Obama now criticizes-- isn't an exceptional topic for Rev. Wright in a few wacky sermons Obama may or may not have missed. It's at the quotidian core of the Afrocentric philosophy that Obama says drew him to the church; c) Indeed, in his big Feb. 18th race speech Obama reads the passage from his book that describes his emotional reaction to this very sermon (his "first service at Trinity")--how it made "the story of a people" seem "black and more than black." d) This is also the sermon that gave Obama the title of his next book, The Audacity of Hope.

Is this the change America needs right now? Good Lord.

FOX News has uncovered documents that indicate Wright is about to move to a 10,340-square-foot, four-bedroom home in suburban Chicago, currently under construction in a gated community.

While it is not uncommon for an accomplished clergyman to live in luxury, Wright’s retirement residence is raising some questions.

“Some people think deals like this are hypocritical. Jeremiah Wright himself criticizes people from the pulpit for middle classism, for too much materialism,” said Andrew Walsh, Associate Director of the Leonard E. Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life with Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.

“So he’s entitled to be tweaked here. So the question really is, how unusual is this? Somewhat unusual,” he said.

Now what is that famous quote by Jeremiah Wright again?... Oh yeah:

Madeleine Albright: "We Created More Terrorists... Our Soldiers Are the Problem"

In her latest attack on the United States, the military and President Bush, Madeleine Albright blamed the US for creating more terrorists and said that our soldiers were the problem in Iraq.
In the video at the link Albright says that the US needs to fight the War on Terror without creating more terrorists...

Calling the invasion of Iraq possibly the worst foreign policy blunder in American history, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright gave a bleak assessment of the state of world affairs before a University of Florida audience Wednesday.

"I have said that I'm afraid that Iraq is going to go down in history as the greatest disaster in American foreign policy," Albright said. "Now that's quite a statement, because it means I think it's worse than Vietnam - not in the number of Americans who died or Vietnamese versus Iraqis, but in terms of those unintended consequences. And the biggest unintended consequence in Iraq is Iran. I think one might say that Iran has actually won the war in Iraq."

Looking toward Afghanistan, Albright said things aren't much brighter.

"President (Hamid) Karzai of Afghanistan is a very fine man, but he's basically mayor of Kabul," she said. "He does not control the whole place."

Albright gave two presentations at UF, first at the Levin College of Law and then at the Graham Center for Public Service. She fielded questions about foreign policy from both audiences, and in an interview with reporters afterward she commented on the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

..."The American forces are both the solution and the problem," she said. "They are like fly paper that attracts everybody who hates us."

Does she mean our soldiers are attracting terrorists like this?

This shows that all of those terrorists our troops are attracting are not doing so well.
What is Albright talking about exactly?
Let's hope that she was asked some serious questions after her silly commentary.
It's frightening that she was once Secretary of State-- but it does put the Clinton years into perspective.

Fitna meaning mischief in Arabic is the name of Dutch right-wing MP Geert Wilders' 15-minute film on the Qur'an.
Reuters reported:

Dutch right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders posted a film he said would be critical of the Koran on the Internet on Thursday, although it has angered Muslims and could fuel protests.

The film was posted on his PVV party's Web site.

Wilders has called the Koran, Islam's holy book, a "fascist" book that incites violence.

A Dutch judge is due on Friday to hear the petition of a Muslim group seeking an independent review of an anti-Quran film by lawmaker Geert Wilders to see whether it violates hate speech laws.

The petition, seen by The Associated Press Thursday at the Hague District Court, says the Dutch Islamic Federation "believes the situation of Muslims in the Netherlands today is comparable with that of our Jewish fellow-citizens in the 1930s."

...Except that the Jews in the 1930's weren't threatening to blow up government buildings or behead their detractors, of course.

The Star-Telegram reported this reaction by minister Paul Scott on Reverend Jeremiah Wright this morning after it was reported that he was cancelling his Texas events:

Paul Scott, founder of the Messianic Afrikan Nation, sent mass e-mails Wednesday to clergy, news media and other groups, urging pastors across the country to speak out in support of Wright.

"It is a shame that Dr. Wright has to cancel some of his speaking engagements," he said. "We have to do a better job protecting Dr. Wright than we did Dr. King."

Scott, who has been a guest on talk shows across the country, says that black liberation theology is needed because it exposes the hypocrisy of Euro-Christianity.

The Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth will go ahead with its plans to honor the Rev. Jeremiah Wright this weekend, even though Barack Obama's controversial former pastor decided to skip the ceremony.

The divinity school announced on its Web site Wednesday that it had "received notice" that Wright will not attend its 4th annual State of the Black Church Summit and awards banquet. Wright had been scheduled to appear there Saturday evening, following a luncheon panel at Paul Quinn College, a historically black school in South Dallas.

Wright has also canceled plans to speak at three services Sunday at Houston's Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. Wright cited security concerns, the church's pastor told Houston television station KTRK and the Houston Chronicle.

Wright also canceled his appearance Tuesday at a Tampa-area church at the request of church officials, who had security concerns about the pastor's three-day appearance there.

The Rev. Marcus Cosby, pastor at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, told Houston television station KTRK and the Houston Chronicle that safety concerns had prompted Wright's decision.

Cosby told the Chronicle that Wright cited three reasons for canceling: "the safety of the institution to which he has been invited; the safety of his family, which has been placed in harm's way; and for his own safety."

Video Shows Smiling German Suicide Bomber Before He Kills 2 US Soldiers

Cuneyt Ciftci gave up his job last spring in Germany and traveled to Afghanistan through Turkey and Iran. On March 3, 2008, he exploded a suicide car bomb at a US post in eastern Afghanistan. Two US soldiers and two Afghan workers were killed in the blast.

The Taliban sent video of the suicide attack to the German news organization- Spiegel Online.

The Taliban video shows the German bomber Cuneyt Ciftci, or Saad Ebu Furkan, studying plans of the building and loading heavy bags of chemicals into the Toyota Dyna light truck he used in the suicide attack.

Cuneyt Ciftci, a Bavarian of Turkish origin, became the first suicide bomber from Germany in Afghanistan. The Islamic Jihad Union claimed the 28-year-old Cüneyt Ciftci from Bavaria was responsible for the March 3 attack.
Spiegel reported:

His last mission began at exactly 4.04 p.m. on March 3. The driver pulled up his blue Toyota Dyna truck in front of the Sabari district center in the eastern Afghan province of Khost. The motor was still running when he hit the detonator. The force of the blast shook the earth and caused the guard post to collapse, trapping dozens of US soldiers under the rumble. The explosion was so forceful that eye witnesses assumed there had been a rocket attack on the building that the US army had built just two months previously.

Chaos followed the explosion. Fighters armed with AK47s lunged at the US soldiers at the entrance hoping to storm the building, but the soldiers were able to defend themselves. Hours after the attack doctors and soldiers, who had been deafened by the blast, were digging in the rubble, while helicopters flew the injured away. Two US soldiers were pulled out dead, dozen others were seriously injured. It was the worst attack on the ISAF forces this year in Afghanistan, just one hour away from the Pakistan border.

Today Spiegel Online reported that it received the video of the massive blast in Afghanistan that killed 2 US soldiers.

The video shows the German smiling and loading the truck with explosives and then the massive blast at the Afghan district center.

US Democrat Now Linked to Oil For Food Scandal

A top democrat not only propped up the brutal Saddam Hussein Regime but took money from Saddam agents linked to the Oil for Food Scandal.

On January 25, 2004, a daily newspaper in Iraq called al Mada published a list of individuals and organizations who it says received oil from the now-deposed regime. Among those listed is Shakir al Khafaji, an Iraqi-American from Detroit, who ran “Expatriate Conferences” for the regime in Baghdad.

In 2004 he was reported by the Wall Street Journal to have received funds from Saddam Hussein and to have helped bankroll the lobbying activities of former weapons-inspector turned anti-sanctions activist, Scott Ritter - notably $400,000 for a 2000 documentary In Shifting Sands on the effects of the sanctions. Al Khafaji admitted to the Financial Times to selling oil he received from Hussein's government to Italtech, an Italian company. The newspaper estimated he made around $1.1m from the oil for food programme.

Al Khafaji's name appears at least twice in the 2004 Duelfer Report, for oil export contracts M/8/117 and M/10/24. He was one of two Americans on the 270-name Al Mada list.

Al Khafaji also contributed $400,000 to the production of Scott Ritter’s film “In Shifting Sands” on the effects of the UN sanctions. Finally, al Khafaji arranged travel and financing for the “Baghdad Democrats”—Jim McDermott, Mike Thompson and David Bonior—in 2002. Following the trip, al Khafaji contributed $5,000 to McDermott’s Legal Defense Fund. McDermott was under investigation for leaking an illegally recorded Republican telephone conversation. On March 29, 2006, the court ruled 2-1 that McDermott violated federal law when he turned over the illegally recorded tape to the New York Times and other media outlets.

COLOMBIA SEIZES FARC TERRORIST URANIUM STASH!

The Colombian National Ministry of Defense reported that authorities had seized 30 pounds of uranium that belonged to FARC terrorists.

The rumors of Uranium accounts in the Reyes computer seems to be confirming as the Colombian defense ministry is right now digging in some Bogota neighborhood perhaps as much as 30 kilos of low grade Uranium. Low grade perhaps for a nuclear plant, but good enough for a small dirty bomb?

The Colombian authorities seized 66 pounds of low-grade uranium on Wednesday belonging to FARC. The government believes that FARC terrorists were planning on entering the international underground uranium market.
The Miami Herald reported:

Colombian authorities said they seized up to 66 pounds of low-grade uranium hidden off the side of a road in southern Bogotá on Wednesday, which the Colombian Defense Ministry said belonged to FARC guerrillas.

The Defense Ministry said the discovery adds weight to the evidence found in a laptop belonging to slain guerrilla leader Raúl Reyes, which showed the rebels were interested in buying and selling the uranium on the international underground market.

But the 30 kilograms of uranium found in plastic bags dug about three feet from a road in southern Bogotá was ''impoverished,'' the ministry said, and in that state could not have been used to make a radioactive bomb. Authorities were waiting for further analysis to determine how dangerous the material found really is, Armed Forces commander Freddy Padilla told a news conference late Wednesday.

It was not clear if Colombian authorities meant that they had found depleted uranium, which is the residue left after the mineral is processed to make nuclear energy or nuclear weapons. In its natural state, uranium has low radioactivity and it has to be enriched through a sophisticated process to generate nuclear energy or to make nuclear weapons. According to Colombian daily El Tiempo, the country does not possess the technology to enrich uranium.

The Colombian government has used details of an alleged deal, to buy up to 50 kilos of uranium at $2.5 million a kilo, found in emails on Reyes' computer to prove the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, was planning to enter the international terrorism trade from its sanctuary set up in the jungle about one mile from the Colombia-Ecuador border.

FOX News Election HQ reported on the interview with Hillary:

The Democratic race is a “long way from being over,” Hillary Clinton told FOX News on Wednesday, and she has no qualms about taking the primary fight all the way to the convention floor.

In a sit-down interview with FOX News’ Greta Van Susteren, which aired Wednesday night, Clinton said not to write her candidacy’s obituary yet, even though she’s trailing Barack Obama by 157 pledged delegates with opportunities dwindling to make up that gap.

“Sixty-two percent said let it go on,” Clinton said, referring to a new Rasmussen survey that found that portion of Democrats aren’t ready for either candidate to leave the race. “That is what people are telling me. That is what we have to do. Let the voters have a chance to be heard. Nobody should be writing obituaries on this race, because it is a long way from being over.”

The Democratic race has taken unexpected twists and turns in the last two weeks, from the controversy over Obama’s long-time pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to criticism of Clinton’s exaggerated claims that she landed in Bosnia in 1996 under sniper fire.

But neither candidate is expected to lock down the nomination on pledged delegates before the August convention. And although Democratic leaders are scrambling to avoid a prolonged fight that could give GOP nominee-in-waiting John McCain a decided advantage, Clinton said Wednesday there are too many ifs for the matter to be settled yet.

“Well this is a really close election. Despite what some might say, it is a very close election in the popular vote and in the delegates,” she said. “We have 10 contests ahead of us, plus, don’t forget, Florida and Michigan. You know, I keep beating this drum … millions of people are going to be voting in the next three months, and I hope that will include Florida and Michigan.”

Clinton’s campaign has argued for seating the Michigan and Florida delegations, which were stripped after those states held early primaries in violation of party rules. Recent efforts to hold re-votes in those states have fallen through.

Clinton won both of those states’ primaries in January, though none of the candidates campaigned and Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan.

Clinton said, barring a resolution on Florida and Michigan, the fight goes to convention.

“You know, you can always go to the convention. That’s what credential fights are for,” he said. “Let’s have the Democratic party go on record against seating the Michigan and Florida delegations three months before the general election? Three antiwar Democrats traveled to Iraq during the runup of the war in Iraq all paid for by the Saddam Hussein regime.
The antiwar Democrats insist that they had no idea Saddam was paying for their trip.
The AP reported:

Saddam Hussein's intelligence agency secretly financed a trip to Iraq for three U.S. lawmakers during the run-up to the U.S.-led invasion, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

An indictment unsealed in Detroit accuses Muthanna Al-Hanooti, a member of a Michigan nonprofit group, of arranging for three members of Congress to travel to Iraq in October 2002 at the behest of Saddam's regime. Prosecutors say Iraqi intelligence officials paid for the trip through an intermediary.

At the time, the Bush administration was trying to persuade Congress to authorize military action against Iraq.

The lawmakers are not named in the indictment but the dates correspond to a trip by Democratic Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, David Bonior of Michigan and Mike Thompson of California. None was charged and Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said investigators "have no information whatsoever" any of them knew the trip was underwritten by Saddam.

Both McDermott and Thompson are popular among liberal voters in their reliably Democratic districts for their anti-war views. Bonior is no longer in Congress.

Thompson released a statement Wednesday saying the trip was approved by the State Department.

"Obviously, had there been any question at all regarding the sponsor of the trip or the funding, I would not have participated," he said.

During the trip, the lawmakers expressed skepticism about the Bush administration's claims that Saddam was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. Though such weapons ultimately were never found, the lawmakers drew criticism for their trip at the time.

Oklahoma Sen. Don Nickles, the second-ranking Senate Republican at the time, said the Democrats "sound somewhat like spokespersons for the Iraqi government." Seattle-are conservatives dubbed McDermott "Baghdad Jim" for the Iraq trip.

Whereas in the early 1600's 20 African men and women were landed in Virginia from a Dutch ship as slaves and from that tiny seed grew the poisoned fruit of plantation slavery which shaped the course of American development,

Whereas reconciliation and healing always begin with an apology and an effort to repay those who have been wronged,

Whereas the Democratic Party has never apologized for their horrific atrocities and racist practices committed against African Americans during the past two hundred years, nor for the residual impact that those atrocities and practices and current soft bigotry of low expectations are having on us today,

Whereas the Democratic Party fought to expand slavery and, after the Civil War, established Jim Crow Laws, Black Codes and other repressive legislation that were designed to disenfranchise African Americans,

Whereas after Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt received the vote of African Americans, he banned African American newspapers from the military shortly after taking office because he was convinced the newspapers were communists,

Whereas Democratic President John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Law, opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and was later criticized by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for ignoring civil rights issues.

Whereas Democratic President John F. Kennedy authorized the FBI (supervised by his brother, Attorney General Robert Kennedy) to investigate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on suspicion of being a communist,

Whereas the Democratic Party's soft bigotry of low expectations and social promotions have consigned African Americans to economic bondage and created a culture of dependency on government social programs,

Whereas the Democratic Party's use of deception and fear to block welfare reform, the faith-based initiative and school choice that would help African Americans prosper is consistent with the Democratic Party's heritage of racism that included sanctioning of slavery and kukluxery, a perversion of moral sentiment among leaders of the Democratic Party whose racist legacy bode ill until this generation of African Americans,

Now, therefore, for the above and other documented atrocities and accumulated wrongs inflicted upon African Americans, we demand a formal written apology and other appropriate remuneration from the leadership of the Democratic party.

Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has been a member for two decades, slurred Italians in a piece published in the most recent issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine.

"(Jesus') enemies had their opinion about Him," Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue. "The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans."

Wright continued, "From the circumstances surrounding Jesus' birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus' death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style. ...

"He refused to be defined by others and Dr. Asa Hilliard also refused to be defined by others. Twenty-two percent (22%) of Democratic voters nationwide say that Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination. However, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that an identical number—22%--say that Barack Obama should drop out.

A solid majority of Democrats, 62%, aren’t ready for either candidate to leave the race. Nationally, Clinton and Obama are running essentially even among Likely Democratic Primary Voters in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Forty-seven percent (47%) of Obama supporters think Clinton should drop out. Thirty-eight percent (38%) of Clinton supporters say Obama should drop out. Those who remain undecided are a bit more likely to suggest that Obama should leave. But, it’s worth noting that less than half of Obama supporters say Clinton should withdraw, less than half of Clinton supporters say Obama should withdraw, and less than half of undecided voters say either should withdraw at this time.

Clinton leads Obama in Pennsylvania while Obama leads Clinton in North Carolina.

In another poll today, Gallup reported that 28% of Hillary supporters and 19% of Obama supporters would vote for John McCain if their candidate does not win the Democratic Primaries.

War Memorial to Slain Iraqi Soldier Vandalized

A war memorial dedicated to a local soldier who died while serving in Iraq was vandalized this past week.

Sgt. Brandon Lee Wallace was killed by a roadside bomb near Fallujah in April, 2007.
His father wrote a song in memory of his hero son after his death.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reported that the memorial dedicated to Sgt. Wallace was vandalized this week:

CRYSTAL CITY — Robin Wallace cried the first time she saw the vandalism of a bronze sculpture dedicated to her son, Sgt. Brandon Wallace. The soldier's father, Rick Wallace, couldn't sleep after he heard about it.

"The saddest part was driving by and seeing only the boots left," Robin Wallace said.

The statue of a pair of boots, rifle and helmet at the entrance to Crystal City High School probably was vandalized early March 18, school officials said. The vandals also tore letters off of the gymnasium signage and ransacked a coach's office, Superintendent Ron Swafford said.

"I'm a veteran myself, and I cannot see why anybody would do that," Swafford said. "Our kids have been really touched by it. Every time I go out in the hall, they ask me if we have any information about who did this."

Sgt. Wallace was killed last April by a roadside bomb in Iraq. The sculpture was dedicated in September.

The vandals broke the rifle and helmet off of the base of the memorial and stuffed them in nearby bushes. The broken pieces now sit in Swafford's office.

A local welder has volunteered to fix the monument. A reward for information leading to an arrest started at $200. It's now at $1,650, Swafford said.

Rick Wallace said he would like to give the vandals two options: jail time or a tour of duty in Iraq.

Popular British boxer Amir Khan was attacked by radical Islamist Omar Bakri for the "sinful shorts" he wears while fighting.
The Daily Mail reported:

Radical cleric Omar Bakri Mohammad has criticised Amir Khan for wearing shorts embellished with the British flag, it has been reported.

'Amir Khan is not a good example for Muslims. He wears shorts with the Union Jack. That is a sin,' he said.

'He should not be wearing the flag because sovereignty is for God. His only allegiance should be to the Prophet Mohammed.'

Amir Khan, who is from Bolton, Lancashire, is draped with the Union Flag in photos on his official website and often wears shorts featuring the emblem.

But Mohammad said: 'The ideal situation would be to have a Muslim team not registered to any state so he can represent the Islamic community', he told The Sun newspaper.

The hardline cleric left the UK in 2005 after saying that the British government and residents of London only had themselves to blame for the Tube bombings that year. He now lives in Lebanon.

Actually, Bakri was kicked out of Great Britain- "In 2005, after sheltering in the UK for 20 years, he travelled voluntarily to Lebanon, and while he was away the Home Office informed him that he would not be allowed back." -Wiki.

In response to the attack by Bakri, British Muslims are supporting Amir Khan as a good role model for younger British Muslims.

Boxing hero Amir Khan was hailed as a "wonderful role model" on Tuesday in response to being called an "ignorant deviant" by a Muslim cleric for wearing a Union Jack flag on his shorts.

...The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) backed the 2004 Olympic silver medalist, saying: "These comments are typical of Omar Bakri. He doesn't live in this country and frankly his views are of no concern to British Muslims. Khan is a wonderful role model.."

The Commonwealth lightweight champion is a poster boy for Islamic integration and has often spoken about his responsibilities as a British Muslim.

The Wright Stuff is coming fast and furious from Hillary and her supporters.

First Hillary criticized Obama today for not sufficiently distancing himself from the controversial pastor.

I've now learned that a member of Hillary's finance committee and a longtime ally of the Clintons has made some very explicit statements about Barack Obama's ties to his controversial minister, Jeremiah Wright, saying that it's "legitimate" to raise questions about those ties, comparing Wright to David Duke, and claiming that Obama has "used race where it suited him."

The finance committee member, Niall O'Dowd, made the comments on Saturday in an unnoticed interview with RTE Radio in Ireland. The Wright issue has been raised by Hillary surrogates Lanny Davis and Joe Wilson, making O'Dowd the third Hillaryite (or fourth, if you include Hillary herself) to hit Obama over Wright.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported this from their interview with Hillary.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in a wide-ranging interview today with Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporters and editors, said she would have left her church if her pastor made the sort of inflammatory remarks Sen. Barack Obama's former pastor made.

"He would not have been my pastor," Clinton said. "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

Obama's lead in national polls has slipped since clips of the retired Rev. Jeremiah Wright began being played on national news programs. The uproar prompted Obama to give a wide-ranging speech on race in America a week ago. The Clinton campaign has refrained from getting involved in the controversy, but Clinton herself, responding to a question, denounced what she said was "hate speech."

"You know, I spoke out against Don Imus (who was fired from his radio and television shows after making racially insensitive remarks), saying that hate speech was unacceptable in any setting, and I believe that," Clinton said. "I just think you have to speak out against that. You certainly have to do that, if not explicitly, then implicitly by getting up and moving."

Well, that's one way to get the press off your back for lying about sniper fire.

Democrats might want to forget about that dream ticket about now.

Busted!... Democratic Point Man on Colombia Caught Dealing With FARC

Not only were the FARC terrorists of Colombia hoping that Barack Obama would win the presidential election but the terrorists were also communicating with US Democrats on the sly.

The Democrat's point man on Colombia and free trade opponent has been secretly communicating with the FARC terrorists of southern Colombia. This was disclosed in documents found on the computer of dead FARC leader Raul Reyes who was killed during a raid earlier this month.
The Wall Street Journal reported today:

The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.) (pictured), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.

Mr. McGovern's press office says the Congressman is merely working at the behest of families whose relatives are held as FARC kidnap hostages. However, his go-between's letters reveal more than routine intervention. The intervenor with the FARC is James C. Jones, who the Congressman's office says is a "development expert and a former consultant to the United Nations." Accounts of Mr. Jones's exchanges with the FARC appeared in Colombia's Semana magazine on March 15. This Mr. Jones should not be confused with the former Congressman and ambassador to Mexico of the same name from Oklahoma.

"Receive my warm greetings, as always, from Washington," Mr. Jones began in a letter to the rebels last fall. "The big news is that I spoke for several hours with the Democratic Congressman James McGovern. In the meeting we had the opportunity to exchange some ideas that will be, I believe, of interest to the FARC-EP [popular army]."

Mr. Jones added that "a fundamental problem is that the FARC does not have, strategically, a spokesman that can communicate directly with persons of influence in my country like Mr. McGovern." Semana reports that in the documents Mr. Jones "rules himself out as the spokesman but offers himself as a 'bridge' of communication between the FARC and the congressman." Semana says when it spoke with Mr. Jones, he verified the letter and explained that "he made the offer because the guerrillas need interlocutors if they want to achieve peace and that it is a mistake to isolate them."

But communications among FARC rebels suggest the goal was to isolate Colombia's government. A letter that Reyes wrote to top FARC commander Manuel Marulanda on October 26 reads: "According to [Jones's] viewpoint, [President Álvaro] Uribe is increasingly discredited in the U.S. . . He believes that the safe haven [for the rebels] in the counties can be had for reasons mentioned. Congressional Democrats have invited him to Washington to talk about the Colombian crisis in which the principal theme is the swap."

Congressman McGovern sent a letter to the FARC Terrorists thanking them for their efforts earlier in the year even though FARC is listed as a terrorist organization by the US government.
The documents in Semana magazine discussed further links between US Democrats and the FARC terrorists:

Another discusses an apparent effort by U.S. Democrats to have celebrated novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez mediate talks with the insurgents — possibly with former President Clinton's involvement.

There is no evidence the FARC ever obtained surface-to-air missiles, however. Attempts to reach Clinton and Garcia Marquez were unsuccessful.

The captured FARC documents also named Democrat Barack Obama.

The FARC Terrorists were hoping and expecting that Barack Obama would win the US elections in November because he was most aligned with the Colombian Marxist group.
This didn't make many headlines here in the US for some odd reason.

Colombian authorities tipped off Costa Rican officials about a huge stash of FARC cash in an old safe house earlier this month. Costa Rica confiscated $480,000 of FARC cash in the raid. The Colombians discovered this information from the computers seized during the raid on FARC leader Raul Reyes in Ecuador.

The Miami Herald reported on this major FARC cash bust:

Tipped by the Colombian military, Costa Rican authorities found almost $500,000 believed to belong to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia in an old safe in a house near the Costa Rican capital of San José.

A Colombian judiciary source told El Nuevo Herald that information found in a FARC computer seized by the military in a raid to a jungle camp led to the discovery of the money in a house occupied since 1985 by a retired teacher and his wife.

In a computer belonging to late FARC leader Raúl Reyes, Colombian police investigators found the name of Costa Rican teacher Francisco Gutiérrez Pérez, the amount of money -- $480,000 -- he was supposed to be holding for the FARC and the address of the house.

Today, Kenneth Rijock at the Different Angle via LGF, reported that the money seized in Costa Rica is linked to Iranian and Venezuelan governments:

Money from Iran and Venezuela destined to provide financial support for the FARC, and for other radical leftist groups seeking to topple democratic Latin American governments, is being funneled out of Venezuela, and into Central America, in a complex scheme that cleverly hides its illicit origins. The seizure recently of a large amount of cash hidden in a FARC safe house in Costa Rica was a rare glimpse into the use of that country as a key stopover for money en route to the FARC. There is much more going on under the radar regarding the use of that country's financial structure for terrorist financing of the FARC's hemisphere-wide operations.

According to sources who have access to information obtained by law enforcement investigators and cooperating bankers:

** The funds originate in Venezuelan banks that are assisting both the Venezuelan and Iranian governments in achieving their radical political goals, to wit: replacing those remaining democratic Latin American governments with extreme leftist regimes allied with Venezuela.

** Private Venezuelan banks place Iranian and Venezuelan state funds, via wire transfer and bulk cash shipments, in their branches,affiliates subsidiaries and correspondents in the Republic of Panama.

** The Iranian-owned Venezuelan financial institution, Banco Internacional Desarrollo* (BID), has been named as a primary force in several such transfers. This bank received its charter in only one week after its application had been filed, which is extraordinary in and of itself, and it has been extremely active throughout all regions of Latin America.

** The funds, now layered as the result of their presence in Panama, are next wired to banks in Costa Rica.

** From Costa Rica, funds are transferred to the FARC, and are delivered to several radical leftist groups, including other designated global terrorist organisations, There is no indication that Costa Rica law enforcement or regulatory authorities have interdicted or seized any of these inbound or outbound wire transfers, or cash withdrawals, most of which reportedly ends up in the hands of the FARC. Other radical organisations, dedicated to the violent overthrow of their country's lawfully-elected governments, also are recipients of these funds.

"Vets For Freedom Tour" Comes to St. Louis on Friday- March 28

The Vets for Freedom "National Heroes Tour" will be in St. Louis this Friday. Tim Bennett is arranging a breakfast event for the Vets for Freedom group at American Legion post #103 in Maplewood, Missouri. The post is located at 3212 Sutton Avenue in Maplewood, MO 63143 (Map HERE).

Tim says that we can expect some media coverage and that some local and state politicians will be there as well as the Heroes themselves.

** The breakfast is scheduled for an 7:00 AM start but we will surely be serving until 9:00 AM.

The Vets for Freedom tour will then be stopping at the Marshall, Missouri County Courthouse at 3:00 PM on Friday.

Reuters made this dishonest statement yesterday in their grim milestone report that 4,000 soldiers had lost their lives in the Iraq War:

Mr. Bush responded only indirectly to the passing of the milestone. He made reference to “this day of reflection” during a brief statement at the State Department on Monday afternoon, in which he noted the deaths of foreign service officers, as well as soldiers.

“I hope their families know that the citizens pray for their comfort and strength,” he said, “whether they were the first one who lost their life in Iraq or recently lost their lives in Iraq — that every life is precious in our sight.”

In First TV Interview NY Govenor Says He Did Coke- Smoked Dope

New York Governor David Paterson started out his second week in office pretty much like his first week.
The first week was rough- trysts and tricks made the headlines.

Today, in his first TV interview since becoming governor of New York, David Paterson says he did coke and smoked dope.
The Daily Politics reported:

In an interview with NY1's Dominic Carter this evening, Gov. David Paterson admitted that he had used illegal drugs - both cocaine and marijuana - when he was in his 20s.

Carter couched the question by noting that he had asked both Eliot Spitzer and his Democratic primary challenger, Nassau County ExecutiveTom Suozzi, during their lone debate back in 2006 whether they had ever smoked pot. (They both said yes).

Carter then turned to Paterson and asked whether he had ever used drugs - not pot specifically, but drugs in general.

Paterson replied: "Actually Dominic, I was in the audience that night, and was asked the same question...and I answered in the affirmative."

Marijuana?

"Yes," Paterson replied.

Cocaine?

"Yes...I think I was about 22 or 23. I tried it a couple of times...And marijuana, probably when I was about 20. I don't think I've touched marijuana since the late 70s."

The New York Post reported this morning that Governor Paterson charged the state 13 times for his hotel stops in Albany.

Despite owning a house less than 20 minutes from the state Capitol, Gov. Paterson, as lieutenant governor, routinely used taxpayer money to stay at nearby hotels, The Post has learned.

Credit-card records obtained from the state Comptroller's Office covering Paterson's nearly 15 months as lieutenant governor showed he charged his state credit card for 13 Albany hotel stays totaling more than $2,500 between Jan. 1, 2007, and this past Feb. 18.

"It's a bit odd, and it's the kind of thing that certainly raises eyebrows," said Susan Lerner, of Common Cause New York, a government watchdog group.

Hezbollah leader and Iranian stooge Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel again today claiming the Jewish State is on the verge of collapse.

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has said Israel is no longer an eternal entity and it is on the verge of collapse.

The Hezbollah leader made the remarks at a rally held in Beirut on Monday to commemorate the 40th day after the assassination of the movement's commander Imad Mugniyah.

He said Israel's 1967 war against Arab states was not a real war and the regime's military might has been exaggerated by western media and certain Arab leaders since then.

The 33-day war against Lebanon proved that Israel is a paper tiger and it is incapable of fighting real resistance which is being awakened by Hezbollah, Nasrallah added.

He said decades ago people were asking whether anybody could fight the regime but today Hezbollah has shown the world that the regime could be destroyed.

"Brothers and sisters, even in a religiously divided country as ours, 90 percent of the Shia and Sunni Muslims, along with 77 percent of Christians and at least 68 percent of the Jews have said yes to the poll asking them if they will support an act to oust the Israeli regime," the Hezbollah leader said.

Bond Set at $25-35,000 For Holy Name Easter Protesters!

CHICAGO -- A judge set bond at $25,000 to $35,000 today for six anti-war protestors following an Easter service disruption at Holy Name Cathedral in the Loop Sunday morning.

Three men and three women were arrested at 735 N. State St. at the 11:40 a.m. service.

Cardinal Francis George was leading services at the Parish Center because of construction at the main Cathedral. The protestors discharged packets of fake blood. Some of it splattered parishioners.

Bond was set at $35,000 for Donte D. Smith, 21 and $25,000 for the five others including: Ephran Ramirez, Jr., 22, and Ryane J. Ziemba, 25, Mercedes Phinaih, 18, Regan Maher, 25, and Angela Haban, 20. Smith has served time in a federal prison in Texas for trespassing on a Native American reservation.

All six protestors were charged with two counts of felony criminal damage to property and two counts of simple battery.

As Cardinal George began his homily, the protesters stood up to stage what they called a Die-In.

The group denounced the Cardinal for meeting this past January with President Bush, who they label a war criminal.

Today's hearing was in regards to charges of felony defacement of property at a place of worship in excess of $300; that makes the charge a Class III felony. The fake blood allegedly used in the action stained the auditorium's carpet and 14 chairs, incurring a $400 cleaning bill. According to the prosecuting attorney, the cleaning failed and the carpet will need to be replaced at a cost of $3000. In December 2007, complaints were filed against Maclean's after the Canadian weekly news magazine published a cover article by Mark Steyn, "The Future Belongs to Islam".. A complaint to the Ontario Human Rights Commission was made by Osgoode Law School students associated with the Canadian Islamic Congress. Further complaints to the British Columbian and federal Human Rights Commissions were lodged by Dr Mohamed Elmasry and Naiyer Habib of the Canadian Islamic Congress The complaints claimed that Maclean's published a series of nineteen articles (8 written by Steyn and 7 by friend Barbara Amiel) with characteristics that promoted Islamophobia and that Maclean's simulaneously refused to allow representative Muslim organizations and voices to rebut the anti-Muslim and Islamophobic content of its articles, particularly Steyn's “The Future belongs to Islam”. Steyn reported on 1st March 2008 that the Ontario Human Rights Commission had declined to hear the suit against Maclean's. The federal and British Columbian complaints were still unresolved as of March 2008.

Gen. Petraeus: Iran Behind Yesterday's Green Zone Attack

General David Petraeus said he has evidence that Iran was behind yesterday's Green Zone rocket attacks.
The BBC reported:

The most senior US general in Iraq has said he has evidence that Iran was behind Sunday's bombardment of Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.
Gen David Petraeus told the BBC he thought Tehran had trained, equipped and funded insurgents who fired the barrage of mortars and rockets.

He said Iran was adding what he described as "lethal accelerants" to a very combustible mix.

...In an interview with BBC world affairs editor John Simpson, Gen Petraeus said violence in Iraq was being perpetuated by Iran's Quds Force, a branch of the Revolutionary Guards.

"The rockets that were launched at the Green Zone yesterday, for example... were Iranian-provided, Iranian-made rockets," he said, adding that the groups that fired them were funded and trained by the Quds Force.

"All of this in complete violation of promises made by President Ahmadinejad and the other most senior Iranian leaders to their Iraqi counterparts."

The barrage hit the Green Zone on Sunday morning. Some rockets missed their targets killing 15 Iraqi civilians.

Name That Party: Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick Indicted

A rising star in the Democratic Party was indicted today.

The embattled Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was a star attraction at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004.

Detroit Democratic Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was charged today with perjury.
The Associated Press did not find it necessary to mention that he was a rising Democratic star.
The AP reported:

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, a one-time rising star and Detroit's youngest elected leader, was charged Monday with perjury and other counts after sexually explicit text messages contradicted his sworn denials of an affair with a top aide.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy also charged the popular yet polarizing 37-year-old mayor with obstruction of justice and misconduct in office.

Former Chief of Staff Christine Beatty, 37, who also denied under oath that she and Kilpatrick had a romantic relationship in 2002 and 2003, was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice.

"Some have suggested that the issues in this case are personal or private," Worthy said.

"The justice system has been severely mocked and the public trust trampled on. ... This case is about as far from being a private matter as one can get," she said.

The charges could signal the end of Kilpatrick's six-year career as mayor of one of America's largest cities.

Perjury is a felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. But for Kilpatrick, a conviction also would mean his immediate expulsion from office. The Detroit City Charter calls for any elected official convicted of a felony while in office to be removed...

The city agreed to pay $8.4 million to the two officers and a third former officer who filed a separate lawsuit. Documents released last month showed Kilpatrick agreed to the settlement in an effort to keep the text messages from becoming public.

The text messages published by the Free Press revealed a romantic discourse.

"I'm madly in love with you," Kilpatrick wrote on Oct. 3, 2002.

"I hope you feel that way for a long time," Beatty replied. "In case you haven't noticed, I am madly in love with you, too!"

In all, Kilpatrick faces charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice, misconduct in office, perjury in a court proceeding and two counts of perjury other than in a court proceeding.

Barack Obama and supporter Kwame Kilpatrick graced the cover of the Trinity United Church of Christ Trumpet magazine this past year.

Kilpatrick's mother is Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (D-MI).

The US military has been fighting in Iraq for over 5 years.
The losses have now reached 4,000.
The US has never lost so few soldiers in a major conflict over the same period of time. This shows the superior ability of the US military. But, sadly this won't get played out that way in the liberal media. Don't expect the media to put this grim milestone into context.

Catholic Convert Magdi Allam Says Life in Danger

Controversial writer Magdi Allam says that his life is in danger since converting to Catholicism from Islam this Easter. He has already been living under police protection since speaking out against the Iranian regime and its threats against Israel.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - A Muslim author and critic of Islamic fundamentalism who was baptised a Catholic by Pope Benedict said on Sunday Islam is "physiologically violent" and he is now in great danger because of his conversion.

"I realise what I am going up against but I will confront my fate with my head high, with my back straight and the interior strength of one who is certain about his faith," said Magdi Allam.

In a surprise move on Saturday night, the pope baptised the 55-year-old, Egyptian-born Allam at an Easter eve service in St Peter's Basilica that was broadcast around the world.

The conversion of Allam to Christianity -- he took the name "Christian" for his baptism -- was kept secret until the Vatican disclosed it in a statement less than an hour before it began.

Writing in Sunday's edition of the leading Corriere della Sera, the newspaper of which he is a deputy director, Allam said: "... the root of evil is innate in an Islam that is physiologically violent and historically conflictual".

Allam, who is a strong supporter of Israel and who an Israeli newspaper once called a "Muslim Zionist," has lived under police protection following threats against him, particularly after he criticised Iran's position on Israel.

10 Years Ago Today... Saddam Anthrax Scare Puts UK on Alert

It was 10 years ago today that the UK was put on high alert due to threats that Saddam Hussein was planning a massive anthrax attack inside Great Pritain.

SADDAM HUSSEIN is threatening to swamp Britain with deadly anthrax bacteria in bottles of duty-free perfume or drink. Tony Blair authorised a top secret all-ports alert after intelligence sources in Iraq discovered the plan. Whitehall sources admitted last night that the threat was being taken 'very seriously'. Customs, Special Branch and undercover Defence Ministry teams were put on standby six days ago but news of the alarm emerged only last night when a secret Home Office 'need-to-know' document was leaked.

Dated March 18, it was sent to security officials manning all ports and airports, demanding extra vigilance, after intelligence sources in Iraq alerted the Government to the plot. It reveals that Saddam has plans to smuggle large amounts of anthrax into 'hostile countries' inside bottles that would normally contain spirits or cosmetics, as well as in cigarette lighters and perfume sprays.

It says: 'Iraq may launch chemical and biological attack using material disguised as harmless fluids. Could officers therefore be alert for any items which might contain harmful substances. Particular attention should be given to containers of any size holding liquids with specific characteristics.'

Last night a spokesman for the Prime Minister said: 'We can confirm that an all-ports warning was issued last week and that the document is authentic.' He stressed, however, that no evidence has yet come to light that an anthrax smuggling operation is already under way although evidence is available to Whitehall 'that a threat has been made and is being taken seriously'.

Ministers believe that the order would be given from Baghdad if the Western powers decided to launch military strikes against Iraq. Biological warfare experts stressed last night that the threat would be limited to people who came into direct contact with the bacteria. Without the means of spreading it widely through the air, the Iraqis would be unable to cause mass casualties.

In February of 1998 CNN reported that Saddam was working on unmanned aircraft capable of delivering chemical or biological agents.

Also... a February 1998 House of Representatives report claimed that Saddam Hussein had anthrax and other WMD's.

You probably won't hear about these reports in the news today.

Antiwar protesters disrupted an Easter Mass celebration in Chicago today SCREAMING and SPRAYING fake blood at church-goers!
FOX News reported:

CHICAGO — Six Iraq war protesters disrupted an Easter Mass on Sunday, shouting and squirting fake blood on themselves and parishioners in a packed auditorium.

Three men and three women startled the crowd during Cardinal Francis George's homily, yelling "Even the Pope calls for peace" as they were removed from the Mass by security guards and ushers.



One Mass attendee, Mike Wainscott of Chicago, yelled at the anti-war protesters.

"Are you happy with yourselves?" he said. "There were kids in there. You scared little kids with your selfish act. Are you happy now?"

The group, which calls itself Catholic Schoolgirls Against the War, said in a statement after the arrests that they targeted the Holy Name Cathedral on Easter to reach a large audience, including Chicago's most prominent Catholic citizens and the press, which usually covers the services.

Kevin Clark of International Solidarity Movement told the Chicago Tribune that he attended the Mass to serve as a witness for the protesters.

"If Cardinal George is a man of peace and is walking the walk and talking the talk, he should have confronted George Bush and demanded an immediate end to the war," Clark said.

Catholic Schoolgirls Against the War claim they are a humorous, political street threatre group composed of college students and young adults. The group was formed in October of 2006 and meets twice per month.

The protesters were all charged with felony criminal damage to property and two counts of simple battery for squirting the blood around the auditorium and onto worshipers' clothes, authorities said. Chicago police identified the six arrested as Donte D. Smith, 18; Ephran Ramirez Jr., 22; Ryane Ziemba, 25; Mercedes Phinaih, 18; Regan Maher, 25; and Angela Haban, 20.

LAHORE: Pakistan is not only among the countries with the highest incidence of terrorism but it also tops the list of suicide bombings, leaving Afghanistan and Iraq behind during the first three months of 2008.

During this period, Pakistan experienced eighteen suicide attacks in which more than 250 people died. Whereas in both war-ridden countries, Afghanistan and Iraq, had a fewer number of suicide attacks.

Iraq experienced thirteen suicide bombings which claimed 274 lives while 15 people died in three suicide attacks in Afghanistan during the first three months of 2008.

In 2007, Iraq topped the list of bombings and fatalities among these three countries with more than 150 suicide attacks. Afghanistan had more than 100 suicide attacks and Pakistan came third with 56 attacks but had more fatalities than that of Afghanistan.

Obama's Church celebrated Easter today with a sermon comparing racist anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright to Jesus!

The new pastor at Barack Obama’s church used his first Easter sermon on Sunday to compare controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.

Sunday’s sunrise sermon, delivered by Rev. Otis Moss III, was called “How to Handle a Public Lynching” and focused primarily on the media firestorm that has focused international attention on this Chicago ministry, which is the church attended by the Democratic presidential candidate.

Moss did not directly mention his spiritual mentor by name, but told the congregation at Trinity United Church of Christ that Wright, who has delivered sermons in which he likened the U.S. to the Ku Klux Klan and saying it is damned for its state-sponsored terrorism, is facing the same challenges Jesus did.

“No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching. The lynching was national news. The RNN, the Roman News Network, was reporting it and NPR, National Publican Radio had it on the radio. The Jerusalem Post and the Palestine Times all wanted exclusives, they searched out the young ministers, showed up unannounced at their houses, tried to talk with their families, called up their friends, wanted to get a quote on how do you feel about the lynching?”

Austrian Monks Score Universal Contract From YouTube Video

Austrian monks from the Monastery of the Holy Cross will join Amy Winehouse and Eminem at Universal Music this year.

The Heiligenkreuz monks were selected by Universal after they posted this video of their Gregorian chant on YouTube:

Heiligenkreuz Abbey is a Cistercian monastery on the territory of the town of Heiligenkreuz in the southern part of the Wienerwald. It has existed without interruption since its foundation in 1133, and is thus the second-oldest extant Cistercian monastery in the world.

On 31 May 1188 Leopold V of Austria presented the abbey with a relic of the True Cross, which is still to be seen and since 1983 is exhibited in the chapel of the Holy Cross. This relic was a present by Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, King of Jerusalem to duke Leopiold V in 1182- Wiki.

Universal A&R executive Tom Lewis told the BBC News website he had been "blown away" by the quality of the monks' singing.

"These guys found about the competition through a friend of theirs in London and they sent a link of their monastery and of them singing on YouTube," he said.

"It was beautiful, beautiful music and they're using the very latest in terms of communication devices available to them to get their music heard.

"They're lovely people, they're very passionate about their music and they're very excited about this opportunity," Mr Lewis added.

"They feel it's an opportunity for this music, that's obviously so special to them, to be heard."

The Heiligenkreuz monastic community focuses on liturgy and Gregorian chant in Latin.

It Was a Question of Wright and Wrong All Along

It never was a question of race as much as it was a question of right and wrong.
For Barack Obama to stuff that filth from his pastor down our throats and make it "our problem" was outrageous.

He officiated at my wedding and was present for the circumcision of each of my sons. Over the years, I have sought his advice on matters private and public, religious and secular. I have heard him speak from the pulpit more times than I can remember.

My relationship with my rabbi, in other words, is similar in many respects to Barack Obama's relationship with his longtime pastor, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright. But if my rabbi began delivering sermons as toxic, hate-filled, and anti-American as the diatribes Wright has preached at Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, I wouldn't hesitate to demand that he be dismissed.

Were my rabbi to gloat that America got its just desserts on 9/11, or to claim that the US government invented AIDS as an instrument of genocide, or to urge his congregants to sing "God Damn America" instead of "God Bless America," I would know about it straightaway, even if I hadn't actually been in the sanctuary when he spoke. The news would spread rapidly through the congregation, and in short order one of two things would happen: Either the rabbi would be gone, or I and scores of others would walk out, unwilling to remain in a house of worship that tolerated such poisonous teachings.

A high-end call girl told a lawyer in Florida that Eliot Spitzer had a tryst while he was visiting Miami last year.
The Miami Herald reported:

Almost four months before Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned in a sex scandal, a lawyer for Republican political operative Roger Stone sent a letter to the FBI alleging that Spitzer ''used the services of high-priced call girls'' while in Florida.

The letter, dated Nov. 19, said Miami Beach resident Stone learned the information from "a social contact in an adult-themed club." It offered one potentially identifying detail: The man in question hadn't taken off his calf-length black socks "during the sex act."

Stone, known for shutting down the 2000 presidential election recount effort in Miami-Dade County, is a longtime Spitzer nemesis whose political experience ranges from the Nixon White House to Al Sharpton's presidential campaign. His lawyer wrote the letter containing the call-girl allegations after FBI agents had asked to speak to Stone, though he says the FBI did not specify why he was contacted.

...Spitzer, the crusading attorney general who became governor, resigned March 12 amid allegations he was a client of a high-paid prostitution ring. Four people have been charged with operating the ring. Spitzer has not been charged. A federal affidavit described a rendezvous between Spitzer and a prostitute known as Kristen, since identified as Ashley Alexandra Dupré, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington on Feb. 13.

One of Stone's lawyers, Fort Lauderdale attorney Robert Buschel, said the letter's release is an attempt to set the record straight about Stone's possible part in the Spitzer drama.

Stone confirmed details of the letter, saying a high-end call girl at an adult-themed club called Miami Velvet told him she was disappointed to have missed a call to entertain Spitzer. She said her friend had taken the call, and she described the details about the socks, Stone said. He referred The Miami Herald to his lawyer for comments.

''The conspiracy enthusiasts on the Internet are going wild over Roger Stone's role in the fall of Eliot Spitzer. We felt it was important to lay out for the public exactly what Mr. Stone did tell the government,'' Buschel said.
