You mean like Maliki's death sqauds backed by Iran? You've got to be kidding.

Bush and the right wing have so badly screwed the pooch on this one that it is not funny, but pathetic. Not surprising.

The idiot has not grasped the very simple fact that this "civil war" it screeches about is manufactured by it's Islamofascist heroes with the encouragement and benefit of the Democratic party and LLL's such as itself. Why else do you think Democrats like Kerry spend so much time "consulting" with Assad? So they can coordinate their efforts. I am sure ol' Hanoi John told Assad to have the "insurgents" ramp up the killing of American soldiers at all costs in order to assist the Democrats plans on cutting and running.

This kind of stuff is nothing new, the Democrats and the LLL's have activly assisted every enemy of western civilization for decades. They did with the Viet Cong. They did it with the communists in the USSR. They did with the Nazis, too. (Remember why Joe Kennedy was recalled as ambassador to the UK? The Brits demanded he be recalled because he was just a bit too cozy with the Nazis and viewed him as a security risk. His wholehearted support of the Nazi's policies toward the jews did not help, either.)

Let us not forget that the Democrats and their LLL buddies such as "Kim" are activly funding the Islamofascist "freedom fighters" in Iraq, too. Kim pays the Islamofascists to kill Americans and other westerners. Yes, despite all the faux pacifistic BS spewing forth out of "Kim" it cheers everytime one of it's heroes kills an American. I bet it watches all the Islamofascist head lopping snuff videos, too. The only real concern that it has is that too many of it's Islamofascist heroes are getting wiped out by the coalition forces and they are losing. That is why idiot LLL's like "Kim", the MSM and the Democrats are so eager to cut and run. They have to get it done fast or their Islamofascist allies will no longer be in Iraq.

BTW-You think the "derision" from LLL's is anything new? No, we have been hearing the same shit out of your ilk for decades. It is essentially the same shit-different decade. It is ok, we just laugh at you because you have never once been right about anything nor have you been on the winning side of any argument.

I don't "question your patriotism". You are on the side of the enemy and you are very patriotic towards them. Heaven help you if your Islamofascist heroes get loose again in this country because you will find that there will be very little tolerance for your ilk in the aftermath.

Now...

You may want to scurry back to the fever swamps from whence you came before I bust out the clue bat for a little batting practice. Iraq IS in a civil war and the only possible hope is that Saddam's death may defuse some of the insurgency. Like everything else in this god forsaken war of choice, it's a pipe dream, but it is a possibility. Of course that won't stop the state-sponsored death squads targeting Sunnis, but for some strange reason those do delighted with killing Saddam seem strangely uninterested in the ongoing death of innocents in Iraq at the hands of death squads run by those we helped put in power.

Sink into civil war Charles? You were agitating year in and year out to being the Butcher of Baghdad to heel to pay for his sins.

For some reason I suspect not. Now that this is the ONLY thing good that has come out of the disastrous invasion that you have supported at the costs of billions and the deaths of thousands, you need something to trumpet and trumpet you do.

If Saddam was the reason for this war, why did we simply not assassinate him? Same end result, a whole lot less death and destruction.

Tomorrow Saddam will be forgotten, but the disastrous Bush War in Iraq will still be there and those supporting Bush as well as Bush himself will still be just as clueless as they have been all along.

Take pleasure in death as it will be the leitmotif of this war that never should have been.ugfKimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10837123887285059270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-44551519519911350302006-12-30T07:43:00.000-08:002006-12-30T07:43:00.000-08:002006-12-30T07:43:00.000-08:00At long last. The known number...What sort of monster was Saddam? The known numbers give pause to him. Even before he fully came to power, he was killing inside Iraq, and then instituted a campaign to cleanse out opponents to him so he could secure power. In the 1970's, alone, that came to 290,000 dead. In the campaign against the Kurds he killed at least 100,000 and most reports put that number up at 182,000 once families were able to verify who was really gone from the area. The Marsh Arabs Saddam went after to the tune of 50,000 to 70,000 dead, because he wanted them fully under control and not living their peaceful lifestyle of ages past in the marshlands. In the 1980's, 8,000 Barzani males were 'resettled' and never heard from again. 10,000 or more Feyli Kurds were 'deported' to Iran, fate unknown, but that was only to break Kurdish power. In the separate chemical weapons attack on the Kurds, 5,000 died a gruesome death and one or two actually were able to survive and tell the tale of Iraqi artillery opening up on the towns and then, later, troops coming through to put bullets in bodies of men, women and children. The 'lucky ones' survived by being under a pile of corpses. Nearly a year ago 53 mass grave sites had been found with 400,000 dead in them, and quite a few more mass graves and just 'large graves' with tens of bodies have been turning up around Iraq over this last year.

The low end estimate of Iraqi dead in the Iran-Iraq war is in the 200,000 range, but few give that credance, and many put the numbers at 450,000 to 900,000 dead and their mass graves near the Iranian border. When bodies could be found at all, that is.

In the 1991-92 Shia uprising approximately 300,000 were killed and another 60,000 deported. Exact numbers are difficult when entire towns and villages get depopulated with few surviving relatives *anywhere*.

No one has an exact account of the number of disappeared into prisons and just 'gone missing', although 48,000 or so prisoners in Abu Ghraib suddenly vanished to clear the prison out and no one was walking the streets who had been imprisoned on that day.

His sons had racked up their own, private, death tolls amongst the population, as did many higher-ups in the Party. The multiple security forces routinely made families 'vanish' and took witnesses with them, from survivor accounts.

I put the minimal death toll just from the *known* graves and events that can be counted at 1.2 million and admit it is the most extremely, low-end conservative amount on pure verification of such. Put his reign at around 9,500 days and you can do the math to get to around 125/day. The true figure is probably 3 times that if not 5 times that or much higher, as the demographics of Iraq were held FLAT with the killings and a fixed higher than replacement birthrate. The moderate shift in an accurate count is *not* what you get if the previous birth rate had been held throughout Saddam's reign.

And if you want to hear the personal testimonies, Democratiya hosts them so you can see and hear those that were the victims of Saddam's reign for yourself. Their sorrow will not end with the mere removal of Saddam from this mortal realm. But the THREAT of his return will not be there haunting them and their lives forevermore.

There is no reason not to know the face of Tyranny and look it straight on and see the heart of darkness that Liberty is pitted against.

Put a price on Liberty now, and your life is available to the first barbarian willing to kill *past* that. We can neither run nor hide nor call the price 'too high' any more. The Left kept on telling us it is a 'small world' and I believe them in that. Too bad they will not stand to face the true face of that world as it sees us and wishes us dead from many points.

Perhaps we can stand with our Friends and Allies to be safer and confront such tyrants when any of us are threatened.

As Ben Franklin said: "We can hang together or we shall assuredly hang separately."

And Saddam is proof of that.A Jacksonianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04232937155558935257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-10583541315789403232006-12-30T05:23:00.000-08:002006-12-30T05:23:00.000-08:002006-12-30T05:23:00.000-08:00absurd thought - God of the Universe sings DING DO...absurd thought -
God of the Universe sings
DING DONG THE BUTCHER'S DEAD...

if there is a BIG bad HELL
Saddam's all checked in by now

...USpacehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00786470726332272129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8852689.post-16288497702293103202006-12-30T05:04:00.000-08:002006-12-30T05:04:00.000-08:002006-12-30T05:04:00.000-08:00I Saw Fear is the title I gave to my post. How many of the supposed 5 million were killed in the War with Iran? How many hundreds of thousands have killed as a result of our invasion of Iraq.

Tell us about moral purity. Tell us about the US giving Saddam the chemical weapons he used to kill the Kurds. Tell us how we looked the other way and Rumsfeld shook his hand after he committed genocide.

Now that Saddam has been hanged, the focus will turn to the ongoing disaster that Bush and his wingnut supporters and apologists have foisted on the American people. History will not look kindly on this Presidency, nor upon his rabid supporters who conveniently change their tune with every new disaster that their narrow viewpoint creates.

I hope that this death brings pleasure to some here. Compared to the death of Americans and Iraqis that it has cost, it was not worth the price. Add to that, what should have been obvious to all, that Saddam as a secular dictator, was holding Iraq together by dint of his power and that he was holding the islamofascists at bay. Now that we have killed him the last secular government in the middle east is gone to be replced by islamofascists.

I shed not at tear for Saddam. He was an evil beast, but he prevented an Iranian Islamcist takeover of Iraq's oil fields. Now Bush, his minions and his wingnut supporters have engineered Iran's greatest victory and opened the door to the Islmaic caliphate that Osama Dreamed of, but could never have achieved without Bush and the US removing the last roadblock.
